Please Read Things to Know:
1. This Rom has not got midlet manager so you need to install one before trying to run any midlet applications.
2. You just need to Flash Rom, hard reset, wait for customisation to finish.
3. To activate cube please run Ftouchflo.config in Touchflo Folder and enable Ftouchflo in general tab. To de-activate the cube just do the reverse.
For useres who wants to re-align thier screen after set up.
To fix screen alignment:
1. Run touchflo.config in Touchflo folder and untick in general tab enable touchflo this will ask you to soft reset your device. after soft reset you can then re-align your screen. to activate cube again just enable ftouchflo in touchflo.config again.
Reason is there is a conflict with ftouchflo running which stops the screen alignment configuring properly

Thanks to all the Pros out there who made it possible for us to flash our kaisers i.e POF, OLIPRO, HELMI_C for his quick break through of roms and everyone who else who contributed to the kaiser community.
This Rom is optimised for speed and stability I havent tested it for long so I'm not sure what bugs are there.
Bugs Reported so far:
IN THE RTM VERSION I have updated S2U2 TO 0.85 upon first boot it shows an error just click ok and that will be it. I still can't figure why its happening that's why I didnt update it before but it runs ok after that.

I absolutely love your BETA 3 ROM. I was gonna update to your final Touchflo ROM but I saw that your making a Tilt version with the newest radio which I have heard from many other users that its signifigantly better.
Any ETA on when this ROM will be available.
Thank you once again.

NEW at&t drivers + new radio

Dutty,
I am a TOTAL n00b with ROM flashing - I just got my AT&T Tilt last Saturday. It is my first mobile device with Windows Mobile - I was a "Treo Palm" user for years, the Blackberry (8800 was the last BB). I got everything figured out for the update on Vista last night - and updated release 3 of the TouchFlow beta... then woke up this AM and flashed the "final" release . All I can say at this point is WOWOWOW!! What a great "product"!! I just sent a few bucks your way via paypal. Thank you for such cool stuff! I look foward to the "AT&T" version. I'm not really sure what the "updated radio" means - time to forum search, but it must be a "good" thing .
On a side note - anyone integrate BlackBerry Connect yet? I had it up and running with the "stock" Tilt ROM (which sucks) and now I need to get it running with Dutty's version. Seems to install and run ok - but I need to activate... (getting some strange password message) then I need to integrate it as the "main" e-mail so it works from the touch cube!!!
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK DUTTY!!!!!

New S2U2 v0.85
Dutty,
Just an FYI...
I saw there was a new S2U2.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343256
Don't know if this will be incorporated in the new ROM or if you want to put it in future releases.

too funny - I keep hitting "reload" to see if the ROM is "up" yet. LOL!! I think I'm addicted... I just hope that I don't have to call my company's tech support each time I want to re-activate BB Connect after a ROM flash. I get a feeling that I might be flashing pretty often....

I tired the BlackBerry Connect on my Tilt but everytime I tried to install it would seriosly mess up my phone. It would install ok and then when I rebooted my phone would just sit at the Windows Mobile screen and not proceed any further.
Since then I have not tried it on this ROM or any other ROM but I might try it when Dutty releases this one.

BTW - BB Connect works fine for me on Beta 3 and the "Final" version of Dutty's TouchFlow ROM alltheway. I'll be putting it on the AT&T version to... as soon as I can download the ROM . I downloaded the installer cab from a link on this site that gave all of the links for all of the AT&T cabs. One of the AT&T cabs is BB Connect install. I transferred the cab to my memory stick via the PC -> Tilt USB connection.. then installed the cab from file explorer. Not sure if that helps??

new rom now is now up,
Remember please read through first post before asking questions I already mentioned. This is my first time making a TILT rom so unsure what things to look for

WOOOHOO ROM is up.. come to pappa....

Another link!!!!?
Please guys help...Thanks!!

Also I will ignore all posts about why do you have this or can you put this into the rom. There are some great kitchens out there. I am not Burger King, so you get it my way, not yours.
I first want to thank my FC Prez, akashastrega, for pulling me out of retirement for this release. I have a feeling its been in the making now for 3 months. I have tested it and I know it works.

Great Job NTS, Fast for sure. One small item. You have the older "Windows Live" still on, no big deal, I just updated it. You really outdone yourself with the cingular NTS settings cab. After I install that, I have a 5 bar salute. and that is on any rom that I have flashed.
looks good stuff! lets try
i have only one problem at now with this rom.
when i try to install a new keybddr.dll for correct my keyboard layout.
all my hard buttons stop to work, my screen stop to turn when the hard keyboard is open, and all the shortcutes on start menu begins with a "&"
hey looks awesome will download now.
One question though what are the "Standard NTS Rom Tweaks"? Meaning what reg tweaks are built in and what have been left out but are still recomended.
Oh and one more thing whats the page memory on this rom??
Anyway still want to thank Nottoosmart for all his hard work in releasing this rom.

But other than that I love everything ESPECIALLY tetris. Thats like the best part
Hi,
Does it have this problem?
The base rom has a bug / feature where if GPRS is active, unanswered calls may not show up as a missed call and may not give notification of the unanswered call. If this happens, the unanswered call shows up in the history as an answered call with a duration of 1 or 2 seconds.
This is making me nuts, i cannot afford to miss call notifications
The only roms without this problems are TNT based so far...

In short, no. The camera hardware is still 1.3MP.
3.0 refers to the version of the Camera software.

In all honesty, I have yet to see this problem. It works fine for me. As for "features" from T-Mobile, thats why I stay with Cing/AT&T

Ok, WHAT???? I have no idea about this. This is the first time ive heard of anyone having to load a DLL to correct Keyboard layout. Have you check to see what the code is for reg to make it have your correct layout. I know for US its 0409. Check to see if Brazil has one. It might be easier and may not have the aweful effect you are having with the ROM

You need to make sure your Carrier settings are setup correctly. You would be the first that would not be able to do that on a rom I have released.
As for tetris, I miss the music, but the game is fun.

Thnx man your the best. I am flashing now to try it out.
One question though have you ever used PointUI ? I have downloaded it n tried using it myself and really like the style and simplicity of it. Is there anyway u can cook it into any future releases n kinda somehow make it the only thing shown without all the regular today screen and such. Ofcourse only after they figure out how to get the hardware buttons working though. But still its something I hope u keep in mind for future ideas
Thanks again
Another download link or mirror apart from rapidshare wud be highly helpful and appreciated.Cud plz someone upload to any other site for download.
Thanks

For those of you who still prefer WM6.0 & choose not to be on "beta" code, this ROM's for you!
v1.2 Sleuth is a bigstorage ROM based on the WM6.0 HTC TyTN II build. I've also boosted performance and updated several Apps. This ROM is also UC compatible so you can load your own customizations during the autorun process. What the heck is UC? Follow this link to find out all about UC:

Here's the list of changes:
GPS Camera Option enabled
Live Search today plugin uses Google
Relaxed Security (doesn't nag when you install cabs)
A2DP settings tweaked for maximum fidelity
All phone canvas options enabled
v 1.2 additions
v1.2 Sleuth is a UC compliant ROM.
PagePool increased from 0x6000 to 0xF000 for improved performance
TurboMode GlyphCache and FATFS cache settings cooked in for improved performance
HTC Camera v5.0.4.2915.00
HTC Album v1.0.1030.720
My standard ROM utility Package is now included: GSFinder+, PHMRegedit, SipChange, DotFred's Task Manager, Remote Desktop Mobile
Today Screen Clock plugin from the SCH-i760 is included.
How to Install
Make sure you have hardspl installed before upgrading to v1.2 Sleuth. Hardspl for Kaiser can be found here. Read the instructions carefully before attempting to flash hardspl.
Download and execute the update. It will bring up KaiserCustomRUU which will flash the TyTN II splash along with v1.2 Sleuth. Your Radio ROM will be unchanged. WARNING WARNING! If you are downgrading to this ROM from a Windows 6.1 ROM containing a 1.64.x.x Radio ROM then you must downgrade it to a 1.27.x.x Radio ROM!
After the reboot, go through the initial configuration setup. Afterwards, let the customization run! As part of UC, SDConfig.txt will be loaded if found on the root dir of your SD card and additional files/settings will be applied.
When customization completes, your Kaiser will be reset. After it reboots, let the Connection Setup wizard detect and install your network settings
Tilt owners, install additional cabs:
install the TB's keyboard fix available here
Recommended: disable the hidden proxy by installing this cab (if necessary, you can restore the hidden proxy with this cab).
Hint: Maybe autoinstalling these two cabs could be your first UC project
v1.2 Sleuth is available on RapidShare or MegaUpload
Recommended Goodies
TomTom Navigator. This traffic enabled taster edition gives you a free local map of your choice to play with. Once hooked, you can order full maps. Possibly the most powerful GPS navigation app for your Kaiser. Tilt owners must disable the hidden proxy or TomTom will error out while connecting to the server for traffic information or any addon downloads!
Google Maps Mobile. Really nice GPS enabled mapping software.
VisualGPSce is a great utility to see the status of your GPS. Choose COM4 as your GPS device.
Internet Calling adds VoIP to v3.0 Sleuth. My optimized ipdialplan.xml (US 7 digit dialing, areacode set to 262) is included. This version will also connect over your Kaiser's 3G data connection. The only known issue is that Internet calling uses the rear speaker instead of the headset speaker on a Kaiser. I'm looking at this issue currently since the Kaiser HSUPA capability eliminates the one-way audio issue over 3G that has plagued other devices. note: to activate, be sure to reset your Kaiser after installing this cab.
A_C's Slide to Unlock program is available by permission and has been customized for this ROM (see screenshots above). This GodLike programming effort needs to be seen to be believed! His S2U2 thread can be found here. Support A_C's efforts if you like this addon!
Release Notes

I'm going to try this 6.0 instead! Thanks for the roms, Sleuth.

VOIP on 1.2 sleuth
Sleuth,
Thanks again for all your hard work. For the life of me, I can't get VOIP working . I've installed your voip package and updated my vonage settings using shauns old SIP tool. It's been awhile since I've had voip working but maybe I am missing something. Does anyone have voip working with vonage? My today's plugin shows vonage as my carrier but has a status of No service. Any assistance would be much appreciated
Bigdriver4u
Vonage shut down Internet Calling compatibility back in August 2007
The MMS line under options in POutlook works, but does not show any characters (just a blank line).

What cache settings did you use?
Hey sleuth, I've had a problem with all your ROM's where my mini-usb headphones do not get detected when I plug them in, so the sound still comes out of the speaker. I have not had this problem with any other cooked ROM's. Any ideas?
s U P E R - F A S T
Holly Shazbot!
Some of us Tilt owners have been having problems with SMS Time stamps always showing as one our in the past, when the text messages are received. All Windows Mobile 6.0 roms, custom or official had this problem. The problem only happened in a few time zones.
Well finally, with the threaded SMS app, it's finally resolved. I'm assuming the threaded SMS app on all the 6.1 custom roms fixes this. Yay.
One minor thing, when you select Message/New, and you are givin 3 options, MMS, SMS, Voicemail, does anyone know if their is a way to move SMS to the top of the list?
-James
Great stuff.
Installing now... will report back!

Hey sleuth, I've had a problem with all your ROM's where my mini-usb headphones do not get detected when I plug them in, so the sound still comes out of the speaker. I have not had this problem with any other cooked ROM's. Any ideas?

woah! First I've heard of this. What kind of headphones are you using?
It's a pair of Seidio headphones with an 11-pin mini-usb end.
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=777
It's not THAT big a deal, since they sound like crap anyway, but it would be nice to have them working. I've tried the Q-Mobile and Dutty ROMs, and they work on those, so it's definitely not a hardware thing.
Hope you can figure out what the issue is. I'm a much bigger fan of your ROMs than a number of others which I find to be much less stable for some reason.
Thanks for the 6.0 ROM.
You're welcome!
Thanks for the rom! I just upgraded and its pretty smooth.
Oh never mind I got confuse with this thread and that other WM 6.1 thread.
AS always, smooth rom!!
thanks for this sleuth! always using your roms. i'd like to check on spb backup version 1.6.3 , i made a backup on this rom and tried a restore, i get this issue after the restore saying cannot create windows lib. or lic? blah blah.. i actually forgot the exact message. sleuth v 1.1 was working perfectly with spb backup.

[13 Apr 08] Mobile Vista 1.3 (cooked 3.14 ROM 19209) - 24 versions! [UNSUPPORTED]

After quite a while in development, Mobile Vista 1.3 is finally ready to see the light of day.
This ROM is the result of the hard work of lots of people: Poorlyduck, Mfrazzz, McMexican, Ghostie, Ionutz, Laurentius, Sleuth, Milesmowbray, and probably some others whom I've forgotten to mention.
What's the ROM all about then?
I prefer a ROM that is ready to use straight from a flash/Hard Reset. Although light ROMs will be quicker, I'm too lazy to spend an hour re-installing and setting up my programs. This ROM contains everything I use built in.
Why the name "Mobile Vista"?
This is the newest OS available from Microsoft at the moment, it still needs development to be fully finished, but I absolutely love it while others moan about it. Am I talking about WM6.1 or Vista?
What's in the ROM?
Glad you asked! It's built on the AT&T build 19209 (3.14) and is UC 2.0 compliant
It's only compatible with Radio 1.65.14.06 at the moment and this is included in the ROM
UPDATE - this ROM is also compatible with 1.65.17.10 and 1.65.20.29. As the 17.10 is the "Radio from Hell" that you cannot change from, I wouldn't recommend this one unless you're already stuck on it!

Other Stuff:

Lots of other tweaks and changes to suit how I want it (seriously - nearly every setting I've found I've played with)
Optional Extras:
* TomTom 6.032 (no maps included - please supply your own)
* Coreplayer v1.2.2 (Build 3852) (you will need to enter your valid serial on first run)
* MS Voice Command (was in the original AT&T build - removed for some ROMs)
* Vista Dialer is PoorlyDuck's Vista theme - this does NOT support Video Calling or
* 3G Dialer is Nadavi's phone with the background changed to fit in with the non-black theme on the rest of the ROM - this DOES support Video Calling
Where can I download them?
Firstly decide which dialer you want - the Vista one (without Video Calling) or the 3G one (with Video Calling).
Then decide if you want Coreplayer, TomTom, and/or Voice Command (UK or US accent) included.
Once you've decided, go to http://confusedstu.4shared.com and download the ROM of your choice from the "Mobile Vista 1.3" folder
Bugs
* If you use a version with the US Voice Command, and button 6 is unassigned, or missing completely, please install the VC (US) Button Fix cab below.
* If you're installing a ROM that doesn't include Coreplayer and the Camera won't launch. Please install the Camera fix cab below to sort this out.
* If you install a ROM and you're missing some options from the phone menu, please install the Video Calling Options fix cab below
* If you install a ROM and you're missing the MMS options from the Messaging menu, please install the MMS Options fix cab below.
Next time I re-cook and re-upload the ROMs, I will bake these fixes into those that need them. Sorry for the inconvenience.
* Sometimes, after the Connection Setup wizard resets the phone, BatteryStatus disappears. To get it back, go into the Start > Settings > Today > Items > select BatteryStatus and click Options. OK back out and BatteryStatus will be back and working properly.
* TodayAgenda crashes if you access the Options through Start > Settings > Today > Items > Options. Instead, please tap and hold on TodayAgenda itself and select Options to get in.
FAQ
Q: Does this ROM include a Cube?
A: No, the cube doesn't play well with Transcriber - and I use Transcriber more, hence that's included but a Cube isn't. If you want to install a Cube, there are lots available for download and installing.
Q: Does this ROM include HTC Home (also known as "The Weather and launcher thing on the Home screen")?
A: No, it takes up more space on my Today screen than I'm willing to give up, but is available as a cab around the place for you install.
Q: Are you going to release a "light" version?
A: There are already lots of great light ROMs available - they'd be better than anything I could produce.
Q: How much free memory does it have?
A: Depending on which version you go for - free Storage Memory will be between 118.49Mb to 103.67Mb, and free Program Memory will be between 71.73Mb and 68.85Mb on boot up.
Q: Are the games available separately?
A: Yes, have a look on my 4shared site http://confusedstu.4shared.com and look under "Games"
Q: Are the announcements (for alarm, etc) available separately
A: I made them at http://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php - just head over there, put in the text you want, select your voice (I used Audrey UK) and click Play/Download to get your .wav announcement. It even works on the phone for changing when out and about.
Q: Why is the ROM now [UNSUPPORTED]?
A: To be honest, I thought everyone had stopped using this long ago and moved onto the newer ROMs out there, but the occasional question shows me some die-hards are still using it (thanks guys. ). Since making this ROM, I've now moved onto a Touch Pro and sold my Kaiser to finance it. Some Chefs are good enough to be able to support and make ROMs without having a phone to test them on - that's not me! Without a Kaiser to try things out on, I simply cannot answer most questions or problems. Feel free to continue to post up any questions you have and I'll answer it if I know it, or another user might help, but largely what you see is what you get I'm afraid.
Changes on 13th April
* All ROMs updated to UC v2 (finally remembered to do that!)
* Updated ROMs to remove the first 2 bugs listed in post 2, so no need to install the US VC or Camera fix cabs
* Finally got Video Calling working (thank you Ghostie, Laurentius and Dutty!) so can now offer versions with Nadavi's 3G dialer in
Uploading all 20 ROMs took just over 24 hours - I think my ISP must love me!!
WooHoo!, first time ever, ever being first.
Downloading now, will flash at work. If 1.2 was anything to go by i'm sure this will be great.
Keep up the good work m8!!

Good point - meant to mention that in the first post! It's only compatible with the new ATT radio, and this Radio is included in the ROM (any other Radio produces the expected sound and camera problems).
Thanks Mzahiri, I've now amended the first post slightly to mention that.

Sure, have a look at my 4shared site and look under "Games" for the cab files to be installed on any phone. (I originally got the "Another World" game from the FTP site here a couple of years ago, can't remember which phone's ExtROM it had been extracted from!).
Can you give some guidance on what is what on your download site? It's really a bit confusing, I just want the nice cooked ROM you mentioned...
You may want to compile a list of what's in which file on your site.....
thanks stu, got the file from your site.
much appreciated!

BTW good job on the new spl and ROM guys!!!!!!!
Thanks for the Father's Day goodness. I hope this ROM resolves my mysterious volume dropping to 0 problem. I've tried several 6.1 ROMs, and every one has the problem. I have to constantly make sure the phone didn't set itself on silent, or else I miss calls.
Has anyone tested IGO8 withis ROM?

Thank you.

well i doubt its an RC because if you break it apart its actually marked as beta... however your in the right ballpark.. And given the specs of this rom are so close to the previous one released a month ago i would say we are getting very close to a release!
This is good news.
I hope there won't be as many issues as those with the HTC Kaiser release........
Has anyone tested this (or the previous version) with IGO8?
Thank you.
Damitt INCOG!!! Evrytime I spend days playing with drivers & porting this & that & just begin to think I've got myself a winner for my personal ROM, Everytime you go & pull sometihng new out of the air & I have to start all over!!!!
Really tho man, I love it! Your finds are a big contribution to our community here! THANKS!
So far so good, I think I've finally found something that will work with all of my proggies thanks to you. Cant wait to see what you find just as I finish getting this one ripped appart & all the modules relocated, LOL.

Wsiniak, I'll tell you right now, It works fine, but Half the trouble with Igo 8 is software incompatibility, not the rom itself. I've been working thru this for over a week now, some versions of BBC gives real issues with Igo as does Trayapp, & a few others. Igo does work with a clean rom though.
FWIW, I just stripped out the bloat even more and have been running it all day, so far everything works for me, bluetooth xfers, Igo8, SIPs etc.
The video speed isn't as fast as the Diamond ports, but perhaps a hybrid can be made?

There are two radios included in the original release by Incognito, which is why it reboots after the first radio install.

Calm down man. No need to review the same rom twice. Just post a link to your rom review thread. If someone is interested they can go there. Makes it hard for people to read thru looking for answers to issues.

My post has grammatical errors.lol.
You did nothing wrong. The thing is that the rom you flashed does not have the Splash Scree(boot up screen),that is why it displays the old splash screen. Nothing to worry, you can have any splash screen.
oh, excellent, thank you!
that explains it! ... I tried several times thnking i screwed up.
this is such a great ROM. i feel like I finally have a phone that just WORKS right out the gate. i may not even install ifonz now.
but for sure i will install icontact, i already installed pcm keyboard, which i find essential for finger usage.
thank you.
cool man thnx

Most of you know that PDAVIET, longtime member of XDA, withdrew postings of his newer ROMS here because, as stated on this final thread, posted by Sid_dominic56 :
Many Wing users here DO appreciate PDAViet's excellent ROMS; as can be seen in this December 28, 2008 XDA discussion: PDAVIET-ROM BUILD 20764.1.4.3.PV or Open Touch 7.7 . And since Sid dominic points us to the current versions, and all of these ROM discussions at XDA are outdated, it seems useful to have a thread to share installation & implementation issues of these Herald/Wing ROMS.
For those interested, the latest ROM is available from PDAViet.net here; and following those links, you will come to its download location.
My Question: The last ROM I had on my WING was ttrans Open Touch 6.5 .. but I flashed to this new TouchFLO 2D tonight. It works beautifully, but I am not sure what I did wrong in the installation process. When I soft-reset, the first splash-page I get is from the older ttrans ROM, but then it proceeds to load up TouchFLO 2D WM6.1 V6.1.405.15 just fine. What does this indicate? And do I need to start over again?
P.S. -- I shot video of this entire installation process from previous ROM, to downloading new one, to installing -- as a helpful guide to new users. As soon as I edit it, i will post to YouTube and link here.

Yeah I had the same problem. Fortunately I'd already read your comment so I wasn't alarmed when it happened. So far so good. Seems to move a lil more faster than the last.
Oh yeah....
I did notice that the "voice recorder" app won't open up. I really need that cause I make music and also write and sometimes when I get an idea and don't have something to write with I just say or hum it in the voice recorder, so it would be REALLY nice if there was a fix for that. Thanks.

Re: Hi, I have question re PDAViet TF2D Rom; I see you run it
I think this should be okay to share since XDA is about leveraging knowledge. I asked an active user of PDAViet's TouchFLO 2D if he thought it would be a good choice for me for my desire to run ifonz app launcher. His reply indicates no... since it is not a lite rom.

Re: Hi, I have question re PDAViet TF2D Rom; I see you run it
The PDA-Viet rom I was using was the second version from the thread opened by sid_domonic56. The thread is now closed, but you should still be able to get the rom and I also believe someone else opened a thread with one that was more updated, but I could be wrong. I would not recommend the Pda-Viet rom if you are using the ifonez theme. It is not a lite rom, even though the memory specs are pretty nice. I am unsure if you could load two good sized today programs on the phone, unless you can run ifonez from your sd card. I've never used it so I am not sure how that program works. My recommendation would be to stay with 6.5 lite, as I believe 7.7 has too many bugs and memory drain issues. Otherwise, I would look into Ivan's just 2 clean rom as it about as stripped down as you can get and should run pretty fast. Hope this helps.

So, has Ivan's just2clean been updated lately, to move to newer builds of the OS?
Also, though I understand ttrans' OT v 7.7 is still buggy, i have heard you and others rec his v 7.4... which I believe is a lite rom. So, is 7.4 a lighter or higher performing rom than OT 6.5?

i have not yet explored the whole rom, but i am findit without a lot of memory to open up more than 1, maybe 2, apps at a time. this was the basic problem with the stock t-mobile rom... almost useless for rapid switching between open apps.
would you consider trying this other similar rom for COMPARATIVE PURPOSES, to see if voice recorder works, etc?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469522
also it would be great if we could get pureskillz to BENCHMARK TEST these 2 roms, and compare to the field of more established roms here at xda.
I am pretty sure i want to run ifonz vs Today screen or other nav scheme, and that means I need a LITE version of a ROM, but hopefully a contemporary version with a newer build... so i can then a la carte add apps -- such as dumping audio manager for Nitrogen, Thumbcal for windows calendar, iContact for windows contact mgr, opera mini vs clunky IE, etc.
So, for me if i had a fast windows shell that looked like this, but very stripped down re built in apps, that 's what i need.
Also, can someone define for me very specifically: what is "manila", what is TouchFLO 2D VS 3D, and how do they relate, if they do at all.

I'll try it perhaps when I get home tomorrow and let you know if I notice any differences between the 2.
This is a great ROM.
I flashed it yesterday and I really like it. Fast, stable and very intuitive.
Just a question:
Who is the cute kid on the lock screen??
cant establish data connection...
...this is a great ROM pretty fast have not come across any bugs yet I have only one question how do I set up my data connection I got used to the "connections wizard" on other ROMs.
What carrier are you using?
If you're using t-mobile, just go to Start > Settings > Connections > Add A New Modem Connection
Name: T-Mobile Data
Cellular Line (GPRS)
Access Point Name: wap.voicestream,com
Or internet2.voicestream.com
user name password and domain leave black unless you have a login. And you're done!

Okay, this rom seems to be fine. The VR works on it also. Thanks. I'm also going to try out some of these games on that link you provided, thanks again.

you can find similiar instructions in the Herald Wiki...
The author of this particular PDAViet Rom is: Microlab071966
... whose profile, at PDAviet.net, says further: TP.Hà nội
I am going to guess this is someone's initials TP, from the city Ha noi, in northern Vietnam -- an absolutely beautiful city... and right now is the season of TET, the Vietnamese New Year! (btw, the ROM's timezone is initially set to Hanoi, Vietnam ... )

I'm guessing that's "PDAViet"'s child. But when I was exploring his site the other day to find this ROM, I realized that this particular ROM seems to be from a different developer who also "cooks" at PDAviet.net.
The Rom that many XDAers have downloaded previously from XDA's "PDAVIET", is, I believe, from the author named: PhamQuang HERALD WM6.1 ROM V24 - Build 19214.1.0.4
But the ROM that I have linked to here is posted by user named Microlab071966 ROM HERALD_WWE_6.1.405.15_BUILD 21109-5.0.0.PV(Manila2D)
The only person who can answer this question is ... XDA's "sid_dominic56".
Deconstructing: I have some questions about "what is what" on this ROM

My initial intention is trying this ROM was because I wanted a faster, newer ROM as my basic Windows OS, that I would then install on top of that, ifonz interface.
I did not know, until I installed the ROM, that it comes with a very nice finger-browseable User Interface and application launcher. I would like for someone to deconstruct the components of this ROM so I can finally understand which pieces come from WindowsOS, which pieces come from HTC, and which aspects are coded or optimized by "chef".
Most users here know all of this already, as basic knowledge. I don't.
1. What is "manila"? Is manila the user-interface style of the finger-friendly icons that navigate programs, contacts, messages, internet, settings, etc? If not, what is it exactly? And can it be added, with separate cab, to other ROMS, replacing another ROM's look & feel?
2. What is TouchFLO 2D ? Is this the software that enables users to scroll with fingers up & down, and right and left? If so, was this developed by HTC, or has any version of Windows Mobile ever come with that capability? Similarly, can TouchFLO 2D be added to another ROM as a separate installation (if it is not cooked into the existing ROM)?
3. What is TouchFLO 3d? Is that related to the HTC "cube" interface? can someone give me a link to a screenshot or video example? AND: Is this correct? That 2D would be less processor-demanding than 3D, or is that unrelated?
4. The application & utility components that are listed as being cooked inot this ROM have the prefix name "Opal" ... What does this mean? Is this the name of an HTC device? Is is the name of HTC interface elements?
5. Finally, when people speak about "clean Builds", what are these, and how are they obtained? I am guessing they are latest versions of the Windows Mobile OS, but is that right, or not? It always seems like people are searching for ROMS with the newest build. That makes sense. Isn't that part of why people like this PDAVIET ROM ?
6. Finally, my reason for trying to understand these pieces or layers is because I have 2 paths I could go down: (1) Give up the whole idea of using the ifonz interface & application launcher, instead using this ROM's built-in navigation scheme (manila??), or (2) Go to a stripped down ROM, like Just2Clean, install iFonz onto it, and build, a la carte my whole customized user-experience for how I like to access various applications and settings and phone #s & pictures.
My decision is about 50% optimal usability, and 50% multi-application performance. As great as these HTC phones are, 9 times out of 10 when the phone rings, just getting the phone out of my pocket and answering without some kind of accidental touch screen or hard button action is a miracle. I'm a power user for web browsing, google maps & GPS, video & images, youtube, etc, so I have no problem using THAT stuff, but it's always the basic PHONE issues that are problematic.
I would love even partial answers here, number by number, so I can properly evaluate whether this ROM is right for me. As I said, it was sluggish multitasking with browser open, contacts open, total commander open, and notes open, and mp3 player running -- but thats what i need "always on". So maybe I need a ROM with less stuff built in, so I can use my preferred apps. For example, I don't ever want to even LOOK at WMP. Audio Manager was my preferred MP3player, until Nitrogen came out. And, for example, this ROM has WMP and Audio Manager cooked in.
I am currently using Open Touch 6.5, and am thinking of switching to PDAviet's rom. I am anxiously awaiting your video, as I don't want to mess up the flash.
As soon as you put it up, I'll flash it. Thanks quicksite.
