Making SMS sounds twice as long - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 Software Upgrading

Hi all, as the Prophet has a very low speaker volume i was wondering if there was anyway of making the SMS notification sound (and anything else for that matter) double.
The idea is that the phone vibrates for longer in the hope i can realise ive got a new sms

Notification problems

Hi is anyone else getting the below problem with there Treo750V
If I set the notification for emails to be any thing but a really really short tone I only get the first second or so as an alert.
I get the rest of the tone when I wake up the screen.... stupid thing !
Its really a pain as in normal back ground noise enviroments I miss emails or text alerts.
I had tried a hard reset (oh god no do I really need to) but the thing still does it.
They are the standard tones on the phone not add ons
PS has anyone got a good load tone that does not sound like a ice cream van
Thanks
Same on Dopod 838 Pro
I get the same issue most (but not quite all) of the time on my Dopod 838 Pro. Not sure why.

Message Tone

Hi guys,
I do not know if anyone else has this problem but when I receive a message on my phone and the ringtone rings, it keeps on ringing no matter what I do or whatever button I push till the tone finishes.
Does anybody have any solution or is it like this with every touch cruise?
Thanks

It's perfectly normal. The only interruptible notification sound (the WAV ones) is the alarm one.
Hi, thanks for the reply. But it is a problem for me because when I receive a message I want to hear it and then be able to stop it, but ofcourse it doesn't. I read my messages I close the inbox and the stupid thing keeps ringing. Btw, is there a software that has an option to stop the ringtone when you press some key/screen?
funny... i have the opposite problem. i don't hear or see anything when i get an SMS other than a mark that i have 1 unread sms. no sound.. no notification.. no vibration.. nothing. and i tried changing the notifications in settings but it didn't work.
i used RingToneManager but it has a problem that you can't mute SMS messages.. so i get this annoying tone in class all the time. somewhat uncomfortable.

[REQ] End SMS notification after read

i have had this problem since i got my touch pro....i have a .mp3 as my notification for SMS and its about a min long. after i read a message, respond, and close it the .mp3 keeps playing..i would prefer the sound to stop after i open the message.....is there some tweak or perhaps program that can resolve this?? Any responses are welcome and thanks in advance
im guessing no one else is having this same problem....come on devs im sure there is some way to resolve this...im sure there are a few people with SMS notifications that are longer than a min....on my old MOTO a1200 i culd simply push the volume togggler either up or down and be able to silence the ringer immediately..and this phone is far more advanced
I am guessing most people just have shorter notification sounds. I never made mine longer because i never thought there was a way for any device to cut off the sound.
MP3 Trimmer will be able to help you

Why is In-call volume automatically reset to a low value? Always requires to turn up

Hey guys,
a relevant discussion with no solution is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/call-volume-reset-call-t2900082
Each time I make a call, or receive one, the phone call volume is set just a tiny bit above zero, so I can hear nothing and I have to crank it up. I have to do this each time and I still did not get into the habit of doing it (partially cause I do not subconsciously want to do it forever), so the frist few seconds are always just awkward. It has nothing to do with the mixer_paths.xml, cause I have a "90" settings (by default) set there, so it must be something else.
I know of no setting that would make a default in-call volume globally for a phone. This happens in normal calls, facebook messenger calls.. I think I noticed this happening first time with facebook in-call volume.
Is there anything to be done?
Hello,
I have exactly the opposite problem. Did you solve?
Did anyone find a solution or got this solved?? I have the same problem
I am on CM11 44s, I set the volume to 2 notches and it resets back to full for the next call. The setting is not getting saved or something.
This problem has cropped up a couple of days back, previously it was working fine.
Anyone having any idea?
I stopped having this problem, after I upgraded to Android 6.0.1. However, in call volume dropped even when it is maxed out, which is kind of worse situation actually.

SMS notification sound doesn't play if SMS arrives after screen turns off

My S6 and S4 did this too, so I'm wondering if there's a workaround.
If I'm having an SMS conversation with someone, while the phone is in my hand, I get the SMS notification sound as normal, but then I put the phone down next to me and if a new SMS arrives somewhere between the screen turning off and the phone locking itself, there is no notification sound and so if someone adds something to the conversation, I inevitably miss it until next time i check my phone.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? is there a workaround? Thanks
it has been like that for alot of the samsung phone. I dont think there is a way to change it.
Normally i just reply and back out of the app before leaving the phone
