Thunderbird Contacts Export - General Topics

From the author
"This freeware application allows you to quickly export contacts from WM6 into a comma separated file (csv) for easy import into Mozilla Thunderbird 2.
I created this application for 2 reasons:
1. I could not find a decent contacts export application for WM6.
Those I did find required online sign-up with a sync site or involved multiple steps to do the export.
2. Once I exported contacts (in csv format) for the purpose of
importing it to Thunderbird, I found that matching the columns in
Thunderbird to be a nightmare process which discouraged me completely.
I was just looking to copy all my WM6 contacts to Thunderbird. Yes, I know that syncing would be a better solution, but I found that once you have the bulk of your contacts in Thunderbird it is easy to maintain current and add new contacts."

Google Calendar treats me like a guest? Invites me to each new event and so on...

Hello everybody,
since the last time the Google Calendar apps treats me as an guest.
All events I add using the app are indeed sync'd correctly, but contain other settings as the ones I create using the online version on my desktop.
This is how the event looks on my desktop (I assume those symbols to stand fo "guest" and "anticipation" or something like this):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If I enter the edit-view of this event I've got additional options for invites and so on.
If I edit the event on my mobile I can set the following:
("Datenschutz" translates to "privacy" )
I think they have an impact on the settings, described above...but I'd have to set them for each new event.
What can I do? There is no menu to define the standard-velues
Thank you

Calendars and thoughts for developers and users.

Would like to share some thoughts and examples of what I think all of these type program should do.
Rocket dialer is the only dialer that let's you make an appointment directly from a contact.

}
It also includes the number, email and address in the event.
Next you need a calendar that supports"hyperlinks."
Snooze calendar works, it has email, dialer, and location for navigation. But it works only as an alarm, no widgets, no agendas ect. (calendars should all have a snooze function).
Touch calendar is the only one I have found that has hyper links that let's you open your email,dialer and Navigation right from the calendar event.
This saves so many clicks I don't understand why all programs don't do this.
The only program I found that let's you change the calendar the event is in, is Pocket Informant.
Pocket informant was a very popular windows mobile pim.
Theses all seem like basic functions to me.
Please ask your developers to include these functions in all of their PIM programs.
Does it have anything to do with patents by apple such as the HTC ruling?
Keep up the good work.

The text editor for everyone that lives in the cloud but wants control over local and cloud text files.
The text editor of your dreams is here. With CherryNotes you can easily manage your notes and select which ones will get synced to the cloud and which ones should stay local. With one click you back up notes to the cloud and with another click bring any note from the cloud back to your device, and all the notes that are on both locations get synced effortlessly.
As a multitasker I always wanted a text editor that let me keep notes on the device but at the same time sync some of them with a cloud storage solution. After a year looking for the perfect app I couldn't find it, so I decided to build my own, that's how CherryNotes was invented.

Voice translator for Skype - Droid Translator

Hello guys!
Here are some fresh news from mobile battlefields.
Droid Translator – is a new app that can be a good complement to Skype.

Nevertheless, it uses Skype login for identification. Not a password, only login. Contacts are supposed to be synchronized from the phonebook (keep in mind, that Skype should be previously synchronized with you phonebook, too).
After these two actions you can make calls and write messages, and the program performs translation according to the language settings.
It is possible to track the conversation using on-screen verbatim report.
The hardest thing with video – somehow it doesn’t work without special device. If you need video – buy the device. If not – use the program and don’t mind. Very simple
I am looking forward to hear your opinions

[Q]halo,how can I manage my contacts of my phone on my computer?

i wanna delete or add my contacts of my phone on my computer. maybe it’s more convenient than that on my phone. what’s the best way to manage my contacts?
thanks in advance.
If you wanna manage your phone’s contacts via computer, it’s necessary to download Third Party Software. if you have no idea, MoboPlay which is a smarter and smaller PC suite is suitable for u.
1.Download this PC suite and connect your phone to your computer via USB or WIFI.

2.Click the “Device” tab and you will be able to see two folders named, Contacts and Messages below the “Media” section.
3.Click the “Contacts” folder to manage all your Android contacts. You can add new contacts, import and export contacts as VCF
files, delete contacts, edit contact information, and send SMS directly from your PC to any of the contacts.
