Windows Media player issue on WM6 750v - Palm Treo 750

When I do a keyguard lock (screen turn off) while playing a song, the wmp will continue to play until the end of the song and then just stop. It does not continue to play the next song until I turned it on again. Is this a bug or inherent of wmp? Just note your backlight must be 40% due to the backlight bug on wm6.

HELP ! how to make the music player keep playing even the machine goes sleep

the problem i face is same as the title, i want the music keep playing even while i press the power button.
i have tried pocketplayer, S2P, kinoma, HTC audio manager (manilla2d built-in) and they stop while i press the power button to put the machine to sleep mode.
i search in google but i can not find suitable articles for me.
is there anything i could do with my machine ? i am using hermes with manilla 2d rom, but before i flash this rom, everything just fine, but now, it makes me so annoying that i need keep press power button every few mins .
I use S2P and S2U2 and have set S2U2 to only blank the screen and not power off totally after 45 seconds (you can just change this to the time you want). That way I can just let the display time out and the music keeps playing. I think you can use any music player along with S2U2 this way and keep the music playing with the display off.
Pocket Player works for me
I use pocket player, and that function works fine for me. Just make sure to change the sttings : menu>more>options>advanced>power options
The only problem I have had is with the newest version. The music keeps playing when I use the power button, but I can't control playback functions like I could in version 3.6
I wouldn't recommend any other player. I use pocket player on a daily basis for my work. I do floor contracting/installation. I listen all day through bluetooth headset(function supported by pocket player without adding any other programs like BT toggle). Also has EQ and a lot of plugins(support winmedia plugins as well).
Might sound like a salesman, but I've tried them all and pocket player is the best. I hope somebody figures a way to make HTC home support
Try buying a new phone, something like a smartphone that can play music while the phone is asleep.

Sleep Timer

Hi guys,
love my Leo the longer I have it.
Just one question: has anybody been able to find a sleep timer for Leo? I always fall asleep listening to music or audio book played with the built-in (music tab) player. On my HD, I used PHM Sleep Timer, ticked the option to suspend the device after timeout, it worked like a charm. Unfortunatelly, this doesn't seem to be working on Leo. I suspect the problem is that the sleep timer switches off the screen. The HD hibernated, music stopped, but Leo can play music also with screen off..
Anybody knows about a software or utility that would be able to stop playing the music by hibernating the device? I know that there are music players with built-in sleep timers but I like the music tab player and don't want to install another player if I can avoid it.
Any suggestions welcome

Don't know a software that fits your needs yet. But how about quickly putting together a custom playlist before going to sleep? That's what I've done for quite some time even on my far "simpler" device like the N82. Want it to end playing in an hour or so? Just put in songs/audiobooktracks worth an hour and there you go.

[LineageOS] Bluetooth volume sets to zero on screen on when music is playing

Whenever I'm playing music (I tried using different music players) on a bluetooth speaker and I lock the screen, as soon as the screen turns on, the volume jumps to zero!
This also happens when I start the music, close the player (with the music playing from the notification) and when i reopen it it jumps again to zero. Another thing to note is that when turning the volume back up it doesn't go up normally, instead it ticks up and sometimes down (like +1 +1 -1 +1 +1 -1 . . .). Also this doesn't happen when ambient display turns the display on, only when I press the unlock key or touch the screen from ambient display.
I already tried disabling battery optimization from all bluetooth system apps but it didn't fix it.
LineageOS Version: 14.1-20171109-NIGHTLY-osprey. Tested with Phonograph, Pi music player, Retro Music player, LineageOS Music player
Did you try a clean flash including a /data /cache /system wipe? Often fixes those strange issues.

Bluetooth headphones resume playback not working

Hello,
I use a pair of true wireless Soul X-shock earphones to listen to seminars when out jogging etc using background playback. (Samsung Galaxy S7 and MX Player Pro)
The play/pause function (on the earphones) works as it should if there is less than an approx 5 minute delay between button presses...
However, when the video is pause is longer than 5 minutes I find the resume function on my earphones no longer operate and background playback of the video is completely halted.
Not only that, when resuming playback on my phone screen and then pressing the home button or lock screen the video does not play in the background as it should.
I have found the only way to remedy this is to force quit MX Player Pro directly and start it up again. That way the background playback function behaves like normal again.
The problem also happens immediately if I put my ear phones back into the charging case and take them out to use them again.
I am able to use spotify without issue taking my ear phones on and off but MX Player Pro behaves very differently.
I have also noticed the background playback for MX Player Pro on the notifications bar gets killed after about 5 minutes of no playback, requiring a full restart of the app before it can come back again.
I have already added MX Player Pro to the power saving exceptions list but the issue still happens.
Is there anyway to fix this via settings or via new update?

Thanks for your feedback. When you pause the playback manually, MX Player will no longer use the foreground service. So, the system may kill the app to reclaim the resources if it is required for some other process. Once it's killed by the system, it may not be able to receive the media button controls. So, you can't resume the playback from the headset. However, everything should work as expected when you open the app again. If you found any abnormal behaviour, kindly provide us with more info so that we can investigate it further for you.
