I just tried to update my spv c600 with (RUU_1.00_TMOUK_v1.1.22.182_Ship) rom, it had windows mobile 6 rom (i-mate version).
The installation crashed half way, now everytime i switch of the phone the screen just goes grey and notting happens. I tried to hard reset it but nothing happens. can any one help pls?
RUU_1.00_TMOUK_v1.1.22.182_Ship is not a Tornado WM6 ROM. It's an official ROM for T-Mobile SDA UK version. Congratulations!!!! You have won a very expensive paperweight!

No, not really! You can sell it for spare parts...

Maybe. There is still chance that it will work. But you will have to disassemble the phone. Probably when you will send it to Orange they might be able to do something about it.

If your device is still under warranty, send it back. It happened to me before because I "format" instead of "format BINFS". Otherwise the cost of replacing the mother-board will cost an arm and a leg.

Well basically you need to find the JTAG points on your phone's motherboard. Then you need to make a JTAG cable and somehow connect your phone to your PC (you need to solder the cable to the phone's motherboard and connect to pc). Then you need to find some program that will flash the rom. I never did it but I think that it's pretty hard. Good luck.

There is a great lack of information on how to JTAG a Tornado! How exactly did you manage to do that by yourself? Where on the motherboard did you connect the JTAG cable? Please share....

my mda is telling usb v1.00 its a duth one from t mobile and i im trying running the noid.exe with the qtek s100 rom dutch ship, but its still checking now for two hours and still cant get it working.
i cant reset it either

:wink: this trick works for me :wink:
1.get rthe MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe
2.unpack the update to a folder (just unpack the exe with winrar )
3 replace MaUpgradeUt.exe with the noID one (rename it to MaUpgradeUt.exe )and run it while your phone is hooked up trough cable.
this works for me on several occasions :idea:

please while using shelltool. to upgrade wm5 to wm6 but ive just got an error message and suddenly lost my connection from activesync! please i dont know how to retrieve my phone! now after bootscreen... white screen appears and nothing happens! i tried hard reset it. nothing happens! please help!
i wish someone here could help me! please! im crying like a baby here! cant sleep! waiting for answers!

Get it into bootloader and flash your carrier's official rom
Also, see that in WM6 you must use only ActiveSync 4.5 or higher
Ask if you need help, I will be here for couple of hours and there are others who know way more than me and also can help

Get the rgb boot loader screen on by holding down camera while you reset. Then connect via usb to the pc. You will see the word " usb " appear on the bottom of the screen on your phone.
Run the exe you downloaded from your manufacturer / carriers website and it will install the stock rom.
Phone will reboot when finished.

i wanted to make a rom upgrade but it stops at 12%(doesnot matter what rom), now if i want to enter in bootloader i only get a white screen. Ive olso tried to put my bakup rom on momory card, but still the same. how can i repair bootloader ? please i need help. all ideeas are welcome

It's dead. Send it back to HTC for repair. Nothing anybody here can do for it...

hmm i had no idee this phone can be so fragile. I don`t think im gonna send it to a service, because its warranty has expired, and any hardware/software intervention must be paid, i ive olso think a repiar like this one must cost me a fortune (50$). i live in Romania and i don`t think i gonna find a "cheap" service so easly. anyway thanks for your assistance. this thread can be closed.
It can start in bootloader and the usb connection is still alive. Can I, somehow, bring it back to life?
i give you 80€ i need a bricked device to develope JTAG interface! after that i can give the community a solution to reflash a bricked device like yours! if my way works ... you can sell it back if you want for the same price.

I've learned thet JAFWM software could help me get my Prophet back to life... I'll give it a try and will post results...

the jafwm software will only restore your imei nothing else (unless they have updated their software) the only way to fix the problem is to use the jtag OR goldcard trick i've been working on.
Well, I got my Prophet back from service. As I can see they have changed DOC. Now I have a G4 Prophet...

And now it wont start or soft reset or even hard reset.
It Only keeps blinking the screen,
can anyone help me here? PLEASE

1. did you really flash a Prophet with a rom for Wizard?
............. too sad,
2. try to recover you rom with NVID flashing and force bootloader method ( if it still can ...)
