How to turn off Network Connect message for Opera Mini (JBED) - Non-Touchscreen Windows Mobile Other

Now that the new beta for Opera Mini came out my JBED installed Opera Mini keeps prompting me about connecting to the internetubes when I run it. I remember something about how that was turned off originally, but I don't have the instructions and forgot where they were.
Help!

did you try the hack explained in the MIDlet Bible (sticky thread)?
Some people stated over at HF that it doesn't work with the new beta; you could still want to give it a try to see whether they're right.

The above link takes you to the instructions for making an app under JBED 'Trusted" so it will run without asking about connecting everytime.
I didn't see this in your bible...worth adding I'd say!

Yup, it's in the chart only, see "Security: Allow permanent Net access without prompting ("Blanket" security model, as opposed to "Session" / "Oneshot")? " in the chart - most of the concrete (non-generic) info is in the chart, not in the article itself, to make the latter much shorter.

Can you define "work"?
for me it seems that the jblend one works better. plus it is full screen so all the applications will look good.
jeodek did not work so good for me.

joedek (esmertec) is good. to bad that I cannot made the apps go thru http proxy (i've modified the config file.. but no effect).
unfortunally both of them are not as good. found this after playing with both of them. some apps work good on jblend which is better. but some don't work on it. so both of the managers would be good together. some apps installed on one, while some on the other.
now that i play with jeodek a little more, i think it actually mutes the sound on my phone, and i then need to restart my device. im about to try Jblend now.
EDIT:so far Jblend supports just as much, but takes longer to install..
EDIT:ok I tried a game that supposed to display 176x144 but it less than 100 pixels. its extremely small...and...hahaha that sound is WAY disorted. i think i like jeodek more.
any other midlet managers besides joedek and Jblend?
yes! this is what happened to me also. the sound on the phone was muted by jeodek after some time and i had to give it a restart, which is annoying as hell.

does anyone know how to force full screen on jeodek? I would prefer blurry than little.
I couldn't try jblend because it doesn't let me choose a local file. Any solutions for that, apart from making your own webspace?
Thanks for your help.
Edit:
I now realize this is my first post, even if I browsed for a long time, hi all and thank you for your awesome help.

When you install it, it will just associate itself with JAR files - this means you'll only need to click JAR files in the file system for them to be auto-deployed.
tao intent registry
would someone be kind enough to post here the Tao Intent registry for WM5. I want to try to make it work on WM6.
Thanks
Thanks guys, much appreciated.
Did you get it to work! I need the proxy throughput also. Need opera mini to get work over a proxy....
try this
http://www.sharemobile.ro/file.php?id=31572
all you need is to configure the http proxy properly in connections settings.
PS: set regional settings to english (united states or australia or anything english)

Samsung SGH-i780 and CorePlayer - incompatible?

Is someone having CorePlayer 1.2.0 running without problems on the Samsung i780?
After installing the latest CorePlayer 1.2.0, I can run and use the software, but when I have closed it (exit) I can never start CorePlayer again.
For a second there’s the ‘CorePlayer’ title in the top Windows Mobile bar, but then the program just closes directly after that. Uninstalling and reinstalling CorePlayer, a soft reset and even a hard reset didn’t do the job.
Has this something to do with the new 320 x 320 screen resolution of the Samsung SGH-i780 or is it something else? I couldn’t find any information regarding this issue (or same experiences of other users) on the internet.
Thanks!!
I doesn't manage to get it works too.
Hello, same here. There is no way (at the moment) to get this program working on i780...

That's a pity. And really strange, since CorePlayer DOES work properly the first time you run it (the first time after installation, that is).
It's just after that, that it won't execute....
this is great to read, just after I ordered one!!!

I found a solution somewhere but I don´t remember where I read it. But start Coreplayer as it works the first time. If you already had started it once and can´t start it again delete the config.xml located in \application data\coreplayer on your device and try to start it again.
Then go to tools - settings - advanced and remove the mark at support for WMP UI plugin. And after that it shall start everytime

Thanks for the solution.
In that case, avrcp function of coreplayer would not work. what a pitty. tcpmp is my favourate player due to its ease of use and powerful functions. coreplayer is even better because of its support of avrcp.
seems i780 is not using standard wm6 bt profile. it disconnects my itech clipradio all the time, but works fine with my new jabra bt3030. strange.
the built-in wmp is so stupid that it won't remember the directory i browsed last time and point to it the next time i start the application. that wastes me a lot of time. working with the media library is a bad experience also. Alternatively, is there any way to change the default directory of wmp? that would help me a lot before a new version of coreplayer supporting i780 is out.
coreplayer 1.2.5 supports i780 with avrcp working
I am using coreplayer 1.2.2, and have been for over six weeks - it worked straight out of the box and I have had no problems at all with the software.
this is using a UK Orange ROM which has not been upgraded or flashed in any way.
I've have installed and using realVGA - perhaps this is what is making the difference?
Haiz.....I face to same problem , can't use the core player ...to me , first run also can't...may impossible.after i click the icon , it just flick my screen then no more response ,who can help me ???

link to JAVA Applicationn opossible?

they there is there a way to create a link for installed JAVA Applications under WM6.1?
I'd like to start my GoogleMail Java Application directly by Icon shortcutting the usual way to run Java first and then select the icon for the application.
So I think I'm asking for a script that does all the steps?!
Cheers
There's an OperaMini one.

You will probably have to download and rip apart the CAB to figure out what it does.

no. operamini is a java application I have to run inside the Java manager as well. you didnt got the point. opera mini does not start like a seperate program. I have to open the Javamanager first.

If you install the CAB from that link you can run Opera mini from a Shortcut on you start menu (or in Programs). I have not opened my Java MM in months now.
Try taking apart the CAB and seeing what it does, or what parameters the Shortcut has (by default the Shortcut is in Programs>Internet>Opera Mini)
Thanks

I think you should follow DaveShaw's advice about looking into the cab he linked to. That file is the linkage as you describe, only it's for Opera Mini. So what you should do is check how the developer has managed it, and mimic it for your GoogleMail-thingy..

Skyfire does Java Applets, not Midlets. Midlets are what are run on your device, not as part of a webpage, those are Applets.
The GMail applicaion is a Java Midlet, and must be run from inside a java midlet manager, I've never seen any browser, ppc or not, run a midlet .

yes I am talking about JAVA-Midlets here. Nothing to do with Opera or whatsoever. I just want to link a direct start-icon to any Midlet-Application avoiding the opening and confirming of the JAVA Midlet-Application.

MusicID (shazam)

Hi all,
From yesterday MusicID is no longer working.
I got the following result after it analyses music
Track: Ugrade Now!
Artist: Get Shazam
I got an upgrade link that leads me nowhere (this is not possible to go any futher).
Anyone knows why?
I visited www.shazam.com put there are no WM version available. But there are RIM, iPhone, Symbian, Android,... versions...
Any MusicID alternative? (I know that Samsung developped a similar application, available with the new i8000 Omnia 2)
Thx in advance for your help.
Still working for me
I hadn't used it in awhile, so I fired it up after reading your post.
It could be the version you have installed. Someone said that at least one of the versions was tied to a particular persons account, so that account could at some point stop working, but that's just a theory.
I'm using 1.3.16_QVGA by Lepsyfou.
try www.musicid2.com

Alternative found
Just follow this link: http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2009/08...app-ported-for-all-windows-mobile-phones.html
This app is even better than Shazam as you can sing or hum a song in order to find the author name and the title of the track.
It works just perfect on my Touch HD!!!
Great find!
The UI fits the HD much better too. The reg edit to make it work from the phones data connection as well as wifi is a bit annoying, but worth the small hassle
Thanks for the update Dino.

Its available free of charge here and seems to be most recent version, works perfectly on my HD2 without any need for registry hacks.

Man I want this for WM as well; looks very nice! We're closing in on desktop browsing on mobile devices.
This looks great! But from the features demonstrated, it seems to act very similar in many ways to Opera Mini 5 beta, so you can pretty much try it out now from the look of things.
