Gmail/IMAP
This might not be a solution to your device problem but have you seen the new IMAP feature within GMAIL? See link for more information:

Download the Esmertec JBED java vm from this thread and try it again. I had big issues with the IBM Micro Environment, which all evaporated when I used the Esmertec one.

Cheers matey, that alternative java program worked a treat
Chris

Very welcome. As an aside, that one works famously with the Samsung Blackjack as well. Installed it for a friend.

i had real problems trying to get opera to work on the 750 - i gave up in the end!
Why not just use Opera?
Why bother with Opera Mini?
thanks for the reply...well i tried the regular opera and it was kinda slow..and mini did the trick...why is there no MIDlet installed on the 750??? they need to make a cab for it...lol..
Try this cab - intent midlet manager - i dont know if it will work on your device. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286604&highlight=intent
then you can intall opera mini.jar
thanks a lot...im gonna try it and ill let you guys know...your savior...
You can also use this:
http://ppcgeeks.com/gmail-gmaps-java-application-tutorial-update-11-21-t1198.html
It' s a java emulator and you can install not only gmail or GoogleMaps but also Opera Mini of course. I' ve tried this on my Treo and it works fine.

RiNo

How do you uninstall beta 2 completely?
I use HTC Kaiser and Esmeretec midlet manager.

Just answer Yes to the "cleanup" question when you install b3.
However, you can also explicitly do this by just selecting the MIDlet and going to Menu / Actions / Uninstall in the MIDlet manager
Thanks Manneisyys, I have tried the beta3.
But strange thing is, the shortcut trick is not always work
I assigned the IE button to the Opera Mini shortcut. Everytime I hit the button, Opera Mini was not always launched. Most of the time, I got only blank Java midlet manager. But sometimes worked.
It was not the case with beta2.
Anyway, I downgraded to 3.12 because I heard the cookies works fine in this version, and that's the most important for me.
I have having to type username and password everytime browse to gmail, yahoo mail, etc.
You mean cookies are not working even in Beta 3. Have not tried this as yet but would do so only if someone can confirm the status of the cookies.
Thanks and Regards

Remote desktop app

Hello, I'm looking for a good remote desktop app that works with the 750. I am currently using LogMeIn on my pc's but they don't support the 750. Thanks for your help, artman.
I also have a Treo 750 with WinMob 6.0 and I also use logmein on my PC. I can confirm that it works with the 750! Just go to logmein.com with internet explorer on the Treo 750. After you login you will be asked to install a windows mobile plugin and after this you have to continue with the link provided.
Et voila it works!
Thank you for your reply. I will try again and post my results. artman1
I can't seem to find the plugin. I am stuck in a loop, I log in then click on the computer that I need to access then I go back to the log in page. that happens over and over. I guess I need the WM 6 plugin. does anyone know where I can get it? Thanks, artman1

Opera mini 4.1 on HTC S710.

Hi,
I've got a HTC S710 running WM 6.1 and a while after performing the update, I was unable to launch Opera Mini 4.1. I went to the default java emulator, clicked on opera mini, and besides a brief image of someone running, nothing else happened.
I can't really understand why because after performing the upgrade it worked flawlessly.
I tried today to install the IBM Midp 2.0 java emulator, I didn't like the way you could select files, I uninstalled it and tried the Risoto_Intent java manager 1036.
When I go to the programs menu and click on the icon, the program just doesn't show up.
Can you please help me out as I would really like to use opera mini 4.1 again on my mobile.
PS: Sorry if the question was asked before.
Dude just use jbed or the omnia i900 jblend
Ok, thanks. I am downloading the emulator as we speak.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407667
I installed jbed from this link, and now when I try to install the opera mini cab, I get the following error : "Can't find 'min' or one of its components.
read my om4.1 install tutorial
Many thanks Menneisyys. I installed this version of Jbed, Ebeneezer's one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2127317&postcount=65
and opera mini 4.1 works flawlessly on my htc s710 with WM 6.1 on it.
YUPIIIII!
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, in case it is, could you point to where I could download some games for my Htc S710 ?
I tried searching but I'm guessing I did not search very well
thank you

[Q]CitiMobile Java App

I used to use the citibank mobile java app on my AT&T HTC Fuze WinMo phone. I would tell citibank I had a Samsung A727, and it would allow me to download the Java app, which worked fine on windows mobile. I believe Citi have upgraded there site recently, and I have also upgraded my Rom.
I now use RRE's WM 6.5 v8.1 Rom, and now when I go to download the Citibank Java App from the link they text me, it tells me I have an unauthorized phone. I figure I can trick it into to downloading by adjusting the User Agent in the registry, but I am not sure what to adjust it to.
Is anyone else using this application, and if so, how did you get it to download.
I hope this is in the right place, and I searched for an answer but found nothing. This is also my fisrt post, after lurking for a long time.
I had this same exact problem. I upgraded to Da-G's 6.5 rom and I couldn't use the Citimobile app. I don't know if it's a 6.5 compatibility issue or a java compatibility issue. You can try downloading another java client to install the app and see if it works. If it doesn't the it's probably not compatible with WM6.5. Either way, you don't have to use that java app anymore... just use PIE and go to www.citi.com and it will take you to the Citibank wap page.
