I use GSplayer to play my MP3s because it is fast and efficient. My headphones have a built in Green and Red phone button. What I want to do is set the Green one to Play/Pause the song when GSPlayer is open, and the Red one to go to next song.
Unfortunately, like the hard buttons on the PPC, all it does is open the phone interface when I hit the green one, and closes the window when I hit the red one.
If I use AE Button Plus, it disables the original pick up and hang up functions. Does anyone have any solutions? PocketMusic does allow those buttons to be mapped, but my device seems to have problems with the software, and I don't like the seconds delay between songs.
I have pocketplayer and Salling Clicker remote app on my Treo 750. In Salling clicker Win Media player script, on press and hold, it should show the current playlist and short press is just to select a song to play...In pocketplayer, press and hold is for selecting a song and quick press is for play/pause..
My problem is that press and hold is not generating any results in these cases. Nothing happens... normal functions are fine on pressing it once, just press and hold doesn't function properly... any ideas why its happening and what could be the work around...
By the way, press and hold is showing context menus in Resco Explorer and other apps, so I am sure button doesnt have anything wrong with it.
I heard there are some issues with Palm center buttons. Anybody knows something regarding that...
Thanks for your help guys!!!!
Hello....is there any way of changing the action when the handsfree button is pressed or even long pressed & doublepressed
yes, same question. Extremely annoying how easy it is to accidently double tap the button and call the last person.
any suggestions anyone ??? maybe a registry edit or anything..... still waiting
The handsfree button has the same function as the call button typically.
double press -> redial (same as call button on phone)
long press ->
a) on some ROMs simply doesn't work. Guess it depends on driver version
b) if workiing, you can set the function in Buttons, gets same function as long press Button 1 (left phone button)
isnt there a cab or file cause its really annoying and would love to set it to next song or previous song
bump any one some one help its really annoying randomly calling someone
Not sure but;
Check in your registry in HKCU\Control Panel for your headset settings
Search for 'audio manager headset tool' on forums.
Try this cab

Topaz Keyboard Controller;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=555821
What is it ?
It's a solution that allows you to remap ALL keys of your device.
Any key (yeah, i mean ANY, including Home and Back keys) can be reassigned to perform desired actions.
Have fun,
Senax
Thanks for replying ... I already have Topaz Keyboard Controller installed but it does not let you configure the (wired) handsfee button.. or if there is a way then pls help !!!
i am going for another head-set...
samsung has a usb-mini where the call button is less sensitive, plus you can change the headset via mini jack
donno yet if the samsung works on htc

Is there any plugin/application to change the song via volume keys on wm 6.5.x
anyone knows?
Try AEB Plus - you can re-assign just about any button.

That's not what i want. I just want to when the screen is off, change the song on windows media player via volume buttons.
Up! Please i need this :/
I'm currently running Dronix 0.4 on my T-Mobile Comet (Ideos U8150). LOVE this ROM. Stable and smooth, and the only one for my comet that the multitouch actually works!
I've been trying desperately to figure out how to make the volume keys change music tracks when you LONG press on them. I was able to make them change tracks with a short press by simply editing the key layout .kl file in System/usr/keylayout, but then you can't actually adjust the volume with them. I know a few other ROMs do indeed let you control music tracks this way, and still have the volume functionality for short presses.
From what I've read, however, this is hard-coded in the kernel or something? Is there a way, without knowing how to make my own kernel, to simply update or replace something in the system files in order to get this working?
I've even tried using PowerAMP for my music, but still cannot use the volume keys to change tracks.
Please let me know, thanks in advance!
