v1605 / TyTN and Blackberry client

Does either the v1605 or Windows Mobile 5 come as standard with a Blackberry type "push" email client ?
Whilst I'm looking for this device to replace my own 2020i, I'm now thinking that it could replace the Blackberry the office gave me too if it comes with a push email client.
Thanks
Steven
Not one apparent on my v1605
Rich
My V1605 doesn't appear to come with any sort of Blackberry specific client, just the usual Exchange Push E-mail via Activesync.
This is listing a blackberry client for the Vodafone VPA III compact - I got to it from a microsoft site - want to try it?

MDA Vario II Exchange & DirectPush

All,
I have setup my exchange 2003 sp2 for direct push, can some tell me how I can configure my MDA Vario II in order to work with direct push?
Thanks
Msuk
You need to sync your device using ActiveSync, it will recognise that your device and Exchange are push enabled, and display addition settings for syncing with Exchange.
The only challenge you may have is ensuring that you have the relevant certifcates installed on your device if using SSL
Hi,
Is there a guide or something I could use to set this up?
Thanks
Msuk

Managed to get it all working
I'm having problems setting up my Vodafone v1605 for Direct Push with my Exchange server.
I'm pretty sure it's to do with SSL certifcates. Do I have to purchase a certificate as a self-signed cert doesn't appear to work?
Hi,
You can use your own certs, I created mine using SelfSLL then exported the cert as a .cer file and installed it on my Vario II.
Thanks

QMail doesn't work

Hi there!
Do to the fact that MS removed NTLM Authentification after Win 2003 SE (my old MDA works fine with all eMail accounts...the HTC hermes doesn't) I had to change to QMail Freeware as EMail Programm and it works fine with the hermes but not with my new HTC 710!
After starting the exe a error message appears that there are missing files / components.
Any one a idea how to solve? As Pocket Outlook won't work with some of my email accounts as well...I'm without email;(
THX in advance!

[Q] windows 7 and omnia 7

Hi peeps,
Never even seen a Samsung omnia 7, but tonight I was asked how you would sync MS Outlook contacts and calender from windows 7 pc to the Samsung omnia 7
I couldn't answer at the time because my last windows phone was a HTC HD2 running 6.5 and syncing that with XP seemed to be a bit backward compared with my old HTC Blueangel and ActiveSync.
Can you please point me / her in the correct direction. She has a pop email account, not hotmail and apparently is finding it a little difficult to find instructions for anything other than an MS Exchange setup.
I did a search and saw a few references to wireless sync, what's the way forward please?
If this MS outlook hotmail connector "Work around" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqJL9X0oqIk is the only work around then MS are truly nuts, what an own-goal. iPhone & Android have better sync capabilities with MS Outlook
you have to setup the phone to synchronize with Windows Live Website and then add in outlook (2007>2010) the hotmail account as mail account.
It will download the "hotmail connector" to download all data from windows live.
you can also use windows live mail 2011 instead of outlook (free and easy to use)
MSFT have stated pretty clearly that the future is in the cloud. Actually Windows Live mail is an excellent implemenation of cloud & local e-mail integration.. If you want to use google mail or something else, then fine, (and WP7 is fine with that too) .. but I don't know why MSFT have to support possible e-mail configurations - for free. If you don't want to play it their way try nuevasync, pipe everything via their service & connect as an exchange server.
