I have a question that some one here might be able to answer. as we all know that haver been many different 6.5 roms made. a lot of them with different features. but one feature that always seems to be the same is slider and icons. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get the transparent slider and Blue icons from the genesis energy rom. i think they look way better. I would really appreciate it
I've done a search, but can't seem to find any Dialler Skins to change the very dull and boring WM dialler.... has anyone got around to doing any yet?
Eh? the HD2 doesnt use the WM dialer.
oh, doesn't it? oops, well it still looks a bit naff and wm like just wondered if anyone had made any skins, maybe a black one like I saw in the Blackstone threads

You can search around and find the correct image files for it. Failing that I've got them. If you need them let me know!
I really really have to encourage you to go with the iDialer (as long as I remember right it is from Supro)
You haveo to download :
iDialer
and
iContakt
for the phone book.
It looks like an iPhone-dialer and the buttons are HUGE on the 4,3"
iContact is f...... great, never had a better phone experience.
Hey guys I was wondering if you guys can help me with my pure. I wanted to know how to get a custom taskbar on it. I''ve seen some cool ones but idk how to install them on my pure. And i also wanted to know how to changet the back ground on tf3d.

Search for taskbars in the theme section, plenty of options
To change backgrould depends upon what manila version you are on. Should be either Settings Tab\Personalize\Home Wallpaper or Home Tab\Menu Portrait\landscape Wallpaper.
I'm a CHT user and I love it. But just now, I've seen screenshots in another thread using MaxSense and they look awesome too. Going over it, it looks like it's only cooked in some ROMS for now. To tell you the truth, I haven't flashed to a custom ROM.
So, I'm opening this thread to ask your preference: CHT or MaxSense. What do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of one over the other? Is it worthwhile to take the plunge and flash a ROM with MaxSense?
I am attaching a link with MaxSense video: http://pocketnow.com/tweaks-hacks/video-maxsense-ui-has-arrived-and-its-awesome
Any feedback is appreciated.
Well i go for Cht.
For 1 simple reason.
I have flashed my omnia so many times i lost track
Since a got my first Htc Tp2 i first want it to check it out.
But very fast i got the HD2 and never flashed my Tp2.
With the HD2 i found out i had a powerfull phone in my hand.
It is fast just the way i like it, so i never flashed it.
And i think i will never flash it.
Once i start flashing my phone i will get lost in it for sure again.
Maxsense sure looks great but Cht is just amazing.
Maby if i give Maxsense a chance it will be to.
But Cht....................I really have to say its fantastic.
@ all developers ... RESPECT and thx for all you do for us
Its a hard job and takes a hell of a lot of time.

Thanks for the feedback!
Got a question though. After flashing to a custom ROM, you can still apply some mods to it, right?
Both
Try the both...I have. Then you'll see for yourself which one you'll like better.

I always played with mods.
The great thing about custom rom is its made for speed
and eyecandy.
All the crap ( thats wat every one thinks for them selfs wat crap is) has taking out of the rom.
When i had my omnia i got seperate cabs for all apps and mods.
So when i flashed i decided wat was going on my phone and wat not.
Thats the great thing about custom roms.
Its made for speed ,memory and eyecandy.
Short answer ..... yes i always did put new mods after custom rom to
Greetz.
Thanks again for that reply!
One thing I like to add about CHT is that it has an excellent support for bugs and problems. For this reason, kudos to Cookie and his team! The thread has really gotten humongous but one way or another, they reply to your concerns once you post in their thread and give you some feedback or advice.
Will this be an issue with MaxSense if ever you encounter some bugs/issues in it?
For now, I too vote for the CHT.
But, you gotta have in mind that MaxSense is only 2 weeks old, and that it will improve more for sure.
They are also completely different in what they do. One is a homescreen modifier will the other is a full on new UI. I have stuck to Max's work since MaxManila and have had MaxSense since it was released.

Yup, MaxSense just came out but I get the impression that widget-wise, it offers more than CHT. One thing that amazes me is the favorite contact widget that you can scroll. Moreover, their widgets seem to offer easier customizations.
But certainly, CHT is still developing and will likewise make more improvements and introduce more features.
CHT is available for everybody, MaxSense with WWE ROMs only (as of now).
Furthermore, CHT in the latest version has received a major upgrade in functions, they are both on par in my opinion.
When you love customizing your home tab, I think CHT is stronger - there are many more choices available.
Personally, as I prefer ROMs in my language, and as a Manila "modder" (love all my clocks...), I will stick to CHT definitely.

I'm not familiar with Max at all as I just got my HD2 recently and had an HTC Polaris before with SPB Mobile Shell.
But I think I get you on this, I think. Am I right in saying that CHT is a Sense mod while MaxSense is not? So, it boils down to if I'm willing to stick with Sense or not? If yes, then CHT, if not, MaxSense?

Which is the motorcycle, which is the Ferrari?
I'm going to say CHT as well. Personally, I'm using CHT 1.8 and Max Ultimate together, and I must say it's treating me well.
As far as I know CHT does not modify the tab structure of manila or really how you get from tab to tab. MaxSense no long has a tab structure so to say. You still have the pages but how you get to them is through widgets or a tabs selection page. There is no longer a slider in MaxSense.
I've been amazingly impressed with every iteration of CHT - it's amazing on every level and the mod of the year (imo).
MaxSense is an incredible adaption, and I enjoyed it for three days. However because of how new it is there were too many bugs for me to use as a business phone just yet, and I also had issues with the alarm clock not going off, which is not handy during a busy week at work!
But give MaxSense another few months and it has the potential to blow us away! I particularly liked: The scrolling wallpaper (which CHT 1.8 has also introduced), the widget potential, and the Android-y look.
My strategy is to love the pants off CHT for the time being, but try MaxSense every 6 weeks or so to see if/when it steals my heart
One question. If you flash to a ROM with MaxSense, can you still run CHT? I know that it's not the case the other way around, i.e. CHT is not compatible with MaxSense. Am I right?
no either way.

There is this Beautiful Dusk Theme for HD2 created by grzegorz10:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761521
Can someone port the Dusk Clock Widget, I would love to see a fully working Dusk Clock with HTC Weather animation on our EVO.
One dude on here has it ported and has completely ignored my PM to share it with us here on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9440768&postcount=11725
So am I asking other talented members here to see if we can get an official port made that all of us on XDA can share and enjoy.
Thank You

haha, nevermind. i sometimes forget that winmo device
This can easily be ported, actually. Not so sure about how it'd look with the animated flip clock from the new Sense, I' not so great with PhotoShop. But I'm downloading the ROM now and I'll see if I can put it together real quick.
Edit: I dunno what the hell is up with WM but they're custom ROMs are RUU's? Lol Weird, I really have no idea what to do here. Not unless I have the actual apk.
I asked him if he could get me the png's to his flip clock in his thread. Hopefully he gets back to me or somebody else ports it before then. It's a beautiful flip clock.

Edit: Well grzegorz10 is a cool dude and is always willing to help so lets what his response is...Thanks for looking into this.
I'm planning on porting his entire theme includeding the task bar icons etc.
But I won't get a chance to start on working on it until the 15th.
I also didn't really ask hos permission yet... but I'm sure he wont mind.

u will need to have a tool to dig out icons for the task bar from a dll file and u would also need cfc editor to pull out the images off of the manila files.
edit:
actually i have all the png's from his theme... just dont have time to mess with it now.. i do hope that u know how manila actually works... cuz other wise u will need sometime to figure out some things...
anyways... here is the pngs used in his theme... i didnt sort them out cuz manila doesn't really work like the packages for the android... its just all in one big folder with numbered manila files and not actually names.
anyone that feels like they wanna give it a go... go for it.. i will personally start a full port of this theme sometime next weekend and since i wanna make t perfect with everything thats the theme has it might take sometime to finish it completely.
I think you can find it on beautiful widgets. Or something close to it.

neckface might have a quick swing at porting the clock widget
aamikam sounds like you got interested in this long before I did, looking forward to seeing a Dusk Theme Thread....
It s just too bad that dude I mentioned is unwilling to share a port he already made....

Switching images around is the easy part... making it all fit and look good in a unified look is the hard one.
I know people think its easy to theme once u have the images... but that's not true if u want the theme to be unified...
U probably didn't try my theme cuz u probably don't like the look of it.
But just so u can see what I mean when I say unified... give it a try.
I rework every tiny little 12x12 icon and make sure every apps has the same changes as made for everything else.
And yes i did think of porting it for a while now... but my priority was other things.
I'm just happy that since I also themed Manila before I know all the files already... if u look at the zip I uploaded u will see that its very hard to figure what's what in there.
