Sugestion to all rom builders/compilers - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro ROM Development

I guess this sugestion
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1558857&postcount=831
can be followed by everyone.
It's very small and very usefull.
Regards.

Windows Mobile 2003SE and WM5 supports a bluetooth profile named "Hands Free Profile Audio Gateway". This profile allows any Hands Free BlueTooth device, for example, a car kit or a simple earphone, the functions of answer/reject/make calls, voice dial, remote volume control, audio connection, etc.
This specs are included in Microsofts Bluetooth driver, however it's possible to use that profile for some things more.
One of them, and the principal purpose of this software, is the possibility of using that profile to redirect all of the audio from the device to the hands free device, allowing simple things like earing mp3, GPS voices, gaming voices, system sounds, etc. all from a simple earphone or car kit!

himalaya a2dp ht820 CSR Cambridge Silicon Radio stack

Hi!
first, i'm sorry for my faulty english, but who cares...
lets try to sort things out, because some topics are really messed up
my challenge on the search for a full featured sw/hm setup for stereo music, headset, handsfree, voice command now lasts for about 2 weeks, and i'm still not satisfied . So i will post my impressions and problems here, perhaps we will find a satisfying solution
my hardware:
himalaya (xda II O2)
ROM 1.72.01.GER wm2003
RADIO 1.17.00
ht820 motorola headset
tweaks:
CSR Bt see (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33532&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=a2dp)
what i got done until now:
- a2dp profile works great, brilliant playback in my ht820
- 2 sec connection time on start, i can live with that
- no skips during playback, i can live with that too
- incoming call during playback: no problem ansering by pressing multifunction button on ht820, headset profile is activating
bad things:
- only functions with wmp, i can live with that
- doesn't resume playback after call, well i don't like that
- no guess how to enable ms voice command over ht820, thats sad
- playback buttons don't function, sad too...
so if you're a owner of a Himalaya (xda2, xdaII, mda2, don't know all it's names ) device post your comments, achievments, answers...
for you whe are annoyed of all the steps to enable bt stream music to headset, i wrote a mortscript to be placed on today screen to toggle ht820 on/off, i hope it may be useful, be aware you need SwichIt by Buzz_Lightyear (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=17476&highlight=switchit) installed for proper functionality. you may have to edit the mortscript to fullfill your needs (paths,....) with an editor like notepad .
ok thats all for now from me, look forward to some life on this topic
hey.. i got CSR stack with wm5.0 combo.. look at my review of it here.. http://buzzdev.net/component/option,com_simpleboard/Itemid,59/func,view/id,15228/catid,26/
i got every button to work on windows media but not any other player so far. and i prefer pocket player since its louder than on windows media. are you experienceing the same even if u r using wm2003??

yes, wmp is not that loud, thats true
i think it's pocketplayers preamp, perhaps there's some plugin for wmp , too, but i've never seen anything like that
can you use MS voice command with wm2005 and is it possible to use the headset for it?
ooo i havent been playing around with voice command yet. post the prog here, i'll try it out. or the link to it.

well i found that on buzzdev, perhaps you've already seen it:

i guess its a beginning to solve the volume issue.
here you can download a demo of voice command, its one of MS produkts, that really functions , well i like it.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/voicecommand/default.mspx
I just installed a wm2005 image http://buzzdev.net/component/option,com_simpleboard/Itemid,59/func,view/id,14533/catid,26/ + crb stack
next previous buttons on ht820 function now but pause play button does not...
it also does not resume music after call, did you manage to solve those things?
i didnt install that rom on mine, but a previous one b4 that. giodata rom. everything works for me on windows media. jus that its not loud enough so not useful for me when on da bus. i use pocket player now when on da bus. i think itech blueband is louder but lack the music control. so u are saying that the 2.01 rom dont work fully?? im thinkin if i shoul flash to that. btw is windows media now louder after u use this rom?? compare it with pocket player for me. im thinking to upgrade to 2.01 or not.
VVGEO, you are the master of all things wicked and PHAT! I've been trying to get my bluetooth headphones working for 4 months! It works with excellent audio quality now! Thankyou for posting this.

GSPlayer with AVRCP!!

Hello everybody,
after my resume-plugin for the Windows Media Player i have developed a little AVRCP agent, wich allows to use AVRCP in combination with the GSPlayer, even to start the GSPlayer by pressing the "start" button on the A2DP Headset.
If there´s anyboby interested in, i would post it in this thread....
Greets,
Thomas
core
core player is better
I'm interested in that plugin. Thanks.
I'm interested, could you please post it?
The Agent......
Ok, here is the agent!
It is a little app(NOT a plugin for the GSPlayer!) wich runs in background. The app uses the Windows Media Player plugin for parsing the AVRCP signals (thank you to Mirko Schenk from MortPlayer for his help!!).
On startup you do not see anything from the app! When you start it a second time, you see an menu at the bottom (OK and SETTINGS) where you can configure various things like the path to the GSPlayer and timings for double and triple clicks. Don´t click the OK button, because the app will exit after that! Just leave it run in background. The menu disappears after clicking somewhere else.
When you have configured the GSPlayer path, the plugin ready to work.
Headset Button functions:
Play - click - If GSPlayer is not running, it will startup, if it is running you can switch between play and pause.
Play - double click - turns the screen off
Play - triple click - opens the "File Open" Dialog
Play - long click - exits the GSPlayer. you can start it again with another click!
Forward - click - jumps forward one track.
Forward - double click - fast forward.
Backward - click - jumps back one track.
Backward - double click - fast rewind.
OK, that´s all. The best thing is to start the app in autostart, it is only 50kb of size and uses about 50-100kb of main memory! Then you are able to start the the GSPlayer when you connect your headset.
I´ve tested it with the Motorola HT810 Headset under WM6, but it SHOULD work under WM5 and with any other Headset wich is supported by the Windows Media Player. I´am working at a new version, where you can fully configure the functions of the buttons, e.g. start any other app and control it by sending WM_ messages.....
Ok, then enjoy.
Any feddback is welcome! Excuse my english if there are any mistakes in the post, but i am german..
Greets,
Thomas
This is exactly what I was looking for! I love GSPlayer. The agent works for all single click functions, but the double and triple clicks don't work for me. If I try to set the times for those functions, it doesn't get saved. It just reverts back to blank. I don't really need those functions, but I thought you'd want to know about it.
Question please for those using GS Player...
When Itried GS Player months ago... I noticed it can't select and play every MP3 songs I have. It only can play 10 songs.
For example, I have 100 MP3 songs in one folder. With WMP or TCPMP, if I select all and press play. It will play ALL 100 MP3 songs until the end or it runs out of battery. BUT with GS Player, it only can select 10 songs even if I MANUALLY select them one by one.
My question is: Does GS Player still suffer from this BUG???
---
rofl ,i dont know what gsgetfile version you are using..but..trust me..its not normal.
AVRCP - How did you do that?
Wolfman, could you point me to some sites that explain how to add AVRCP support to Windows Mobile apps?
I did a lot of searching, but haven't found the "holy grail" ...

That´s strange. Which device and OS are you using? I tested it on universal and WM6.....
Thanks Wolfman for your great job
By the way: i have modified the GSPlayer Source, so it can display Album or Track covers and changed some Parameters so that the Player is VGA-Compatible (i think someone did this before too). There are some VGA-Skins wich looks really nice.
Anyone interested?
VGA updated GSplayer
I would be very interested in your modified GSplayer and VGA skins, please let me know where I can download them from so I can try it out. Great work.
Here are the Files.
It´s just the gsplayer exe and one dll. The SubDirs are some VGA skins i have collected.
If there is a jpg file with the same Name as the mp3 file in the directory, it will be shown at the bottom. If not and there is a file named "folder.jpg" in the directory it will be displayed instead.
is it possible to change?
from:
Forward - click - jumps forward one track.
Forward - double click - fast forward
to:
Forward - double click - jumps forward one track.
Forward - Click - fast forward
thx
Yes, i have already change it, because i like it better, too.
This is the newest Version of the AVRCP-Agent.
New Features:
-Changed double and dingle click behaviour of forward/backward buttons
-Pause and Resume the GSPlayer on incoming call.
-If you press the VoiceCommand Button, the Player will pause too.
Greets,
Thomas
Hey, can we adapt this to other programs, like say, TCPMP?
Or better yet, can we assign custom commands to the AVRCP calls? For example, maybe I'd like a forward-press to launch WMP, and a back press to launch TCPMP, or something along those lines?
I could see this being very useful in my car since I have a AVRCP / A2DP stereo unit.
It would be interesting to have a control start the GPS app on my phone..
Great agent
Thanks very much for this agent it works great. If I could get the universal to ring through the internal speaker as well as the bluetooth headset at the same time I would have the perfect solution from my persepective.

It´s no Problem to start other Applications, i plan to make the commands to be customizable. To start the WMP is a problem, because i use the WMP-AVRCP plugin to parse the AVRCP commands. It will start, but then there are 2 AVRCP Application running, this would be problematic.
To control the TCPMP would be no problem, if would have the corrosponding WM_ Messages to control the TCPMP. I would need the TCPMP Source code to do so.
I you just need a button to start your GPS App, just replace the path to the GSPlayer in "Settings" with the path to your GPS-App.
the new settings for one/doble click arent really confortable for my hbh-ds970
will you release the configurable version of this ?
also, ANY chance you can not only make gsplayer to pause, but also send sound to the loudspeaker on a call (for the ringtone )
i dont know if its a WM limitation, but i hate not hearing my ringtones and missing calls when i drive

a2dp stereo on magician

hi ,,i installed the a2dp cab file got it working fine ,,but the only problem i have is it will only stream stereo audio from wmp ,,,which i find frustrating because i prefer winvibe,,or coreplayer instead,,
can someone show me a way of makin all my stereo sounds on the magician to work on these apps also ,,,i am using a motorol ht820 stereo headset

Yo,
Yes the renaming always works.
By the way, MortPlayer is far more better than any audio player(s) in the world, worthwhile to try.

Listen to music using mono Bluetooth Headset

Hello!
I´m planning to buy a mono ("one-ear") BT headset to get my calls on the go, but I´d also like to listen to my musics on it.
I´ve done some research on google about any hack or program that would let me do this, however I don´t know if these programs work on WM 6.5, because they´re a little old.
Has anyone tried or is still using a program that works on nowadays cellphones (like Touch HD)? I just need this to buy a mono BT headset.
The programs I´ve heard of are: Bluetooth Audio v1.0, BlueAudio, BlueMusic.
Thank you very much in advance!
BlueTooth Audio 1.0 works with 6.5/6.5.x.
This is not a software release and does not belong in this category. See "Questions".
Moved as not software release.
Sorry for posting in the wrong area.
I´m gonna buy the BT earphone and tell if it worked.
Thanks!
It should definately work if you get BlueAudio3 as I use it every day Rollerblading with a mono bluetooth (SE HBH-PV740). Have fun!

Adapt sound and different headsets

I have tweaked adapt sound for the 3 Bluetooth headsets I use namely Beats Studio, Livall Bluetooth Helmet and Sabbat in ear buds. I'd like to be able to automatically shift to the corresponding adapt sound profile when the particular headset connects via Bluetooth. Is there a way to do this?
Poweramp will let you set as many equalizer profiles as you want. Great app, complex to set up, but nothing comes comes to it for a music player.

I'm not particularly interested in changing players. I just want an automated switch. For example when I connect my Beats headphones to the Note 20 Ultra through BT, I want the adapt sound profile to switch to the Beats tweaked one automatically.

Unless there's a plugin don't think you can support individual EQ settings per device other then turn it on or off with Poweramp.
I may be wrong, Poweramp is the Swiss army knife of players... lots of features.
Unfortunately I didn't find any way.
With Routines only equaliser and dolby atmos are available.
Maybe with a Bixby command, that you can trigger with Routine when a specific Bluetooth device is connected, but I didn't set it at all yet to see if it's possible.

If you have a large digital collection it's the one to use. Otherwise not.
You aren't supposed to use "adapt sound" for various headsets. It is not an equalizer.
Adapt sound is for your HEARING LOSS in various frequencies. You set it once and it applies to everything. You can use their "generic" age ranges or you can go through their hearing test to customize it specifically for you.
The point of it is to identify the ranges of hearing that you have lost over the years and amplify just that range for your hearing only. (Using any headphones or speakers)
The older you get, the more important this is.
This isn't designed to compensate for crappy headphones.
