Media Player - Palm Treo 750

I just noticed (by accident) that the media player, (ATT 750 WM6), will continue to play after the device is shut off. It definately did not do this with WM5. However it only plays until the end of the currently playing song, then stops. If I turn the device back on, it starts playing the next song automatically. If the keyguard is on and I let it shut itself back off, it again plays just one song and then stops. I love the fact that the device can be off while listening to music so that I don't activate unknown programs while in my pocket, but is there a way to tweak it so that I don't have to turn it back on between each song???
Thanks everybody...........

So I guess I'm the only one that likes this feature ?????????

I like it as well but I didnt get the WM6 ROM before they took it off.

Did I say something wrong? Have I stumped the experts? Is it just unimportant enough for a response? I listen to music almost daily, any information would be greatly appreciated. "Please?"

I know this post is old, but it might help someone:
You have to go to settings an assign a hardkey for screen toggle in the WMP settings/options menu. I took me long to get why the fck WMP stops playing after 1 song when device is turned off.

W100 and WM6 Official (ANZ Release)

Hi All, Just a general interest post..
The W100 headphones appear to function very nicely in the official WM6.
Now when you tap the power button to turn off screen / lock keys my music keeps playing under windows media.
As for earbuds I am using a set from a SE w800i headset. Would not satisfy any audiophiles but they are ok for me and the length is perfect for the W100.
Have had some problems with Media Player Music Library
I just delete:
-Delete the folder \CF Card\MSMETADATA
-Delete the folder \CF Card\WMDRM
and it is all ok again..
I found the workaround from xda-developers - always pays to search..

Not quite as good for me...
When I turn off the screen the music keeps playing, but only till the end of the song I'm listening to. Will not play any other songs until after I turn on screen.
Not a biggie really.

Have not had this problem.. If i select a library / album it plays till all songs are done..
Just as a side note today i had an album playing with TomTom running at the same time (sceen on) and voice prompts were playing over the music with any issues.
Other the TT i have not played with any settings all is default load.
You're Right
If you select album it will play the whole album through while screen is off.
I was having a problem because I was trying to play all the music on my mini SD in shuffle mode.
Seems that the screen needs to be on in order to shuffle the music.
I'll keep testing.
Hmmm that's weird. The problem seems to have fixed itself.
Don't know what I did exactly...have hard resetted several times since flashing. Different software combinations seemed to have adverse effects.
But I've noticed things more stable since I upgraded from SPB Shell Mobile v1 to v1.5.
Could just be coincidence though. Either way I'm happy it's working like it should
I seem to have this problem. I;ve not got shuffle mode on.
Also notice if I select album to play and then pause then play again the problem occurs.
Need to do some more testing but would be interested to know what others have found.
Also I have the W100 which people are complaining about. It does what its meant to with WMP and if I can overcome this play problem then I don't see a problem it is doing its job.
Capeli - i noted in some other thread you got a W100 too. what's your view on it now you've used it a while?
Problem with keepting screen off...
Hello~
I wonder whether anyone else has similar issues but...
For me... when ever I press any button to adjust "volume", "Fw/Rw", "Pause/Play" etc...
Screen just turns itself on~.
I just hope that there is way to keep screen off whilest making any adjustments on wmp...
Hope HTC will provide updated cab file to resolve this if this is common
issue with everyone.

People are complaining because the w100 only works with wmp and most people don't use it. It's library sucks, the screen turns on, there's no "exit player", etc... How hard would it be to allow the W100 to work with other software? :\

Loosing sound on Treo 750....

It started happening since yesterday and I tried all I could, so I am posting for help now. Problem is, without any warning or message, sound on Treo suddenly goes away. So no click sounds, no vibration, nothing. Even when plugging or removing charger, there is no buzz sound, neither is little vibration when switching to vibration mode. When I open Conduits PocketPlayer and click on a song, it just froze and I needed to soft-reset. The sound is restored after soft-reset though. I did install Resco Audio Recorder few days back though and yesterday ran it for the first time. When I open it (when there is no sound), it gives a message something like "Input sound could not open" (dont remember exactly what it says).... Could you please guide me if Resco Audio Recorder could be the problem.
Thanks for your help guys!!!

HELP ! how to make the music player keep playing even the machine goes sleep

the problem i face is same as the title, i want the music keep playing even while i press the power button.
i have tried pocketplayer, S2P, kinoma, HTC audio manager (manilla2d built-in) and they stop while i press the power button to put the machine to sleep mode.
i search in google but i can not find suitable articles for me.
is there anything i could do with my machine ? i am using hermes with manilla 2d rom, but before i flash this rom, everything just fine, but now, it makes me so annoying that i need keep press power button every few mins .
I use S2P and S2U2 and have set S2U2 to only blank the screen and not power off totally after 45 seconds (you can just change this to the time you want). That way I can just let the display time out and the music keeps playing. I think you can use any music player along with S2U2 this way and keep the music playing with the display off.
Pocket Player works for me
I use pocket player, and that function works fine for me. Just make sure to change the sttings : menu>more>options>advanced>power options
The only problem I have had is with the newest version. The music keeps playing when I use the power button, but I can't control playback functions like I could in version 3.6
I wouldn't recommend any other player. I use pocket player on a daily basis for my work. I do floor contracting/installation. I listen all day through bluetooth headset(function supported by pocket player without adding any other programs like BT toggle). Also has EQ and a lot of plugins(support winmedia plugins as well).
Might sound like a salesman, but I've tried them all and pocket player is the best. I hope somebody figures a way to make HTC home support
Try buying a new phone, something like a smartphone that can play music while the phone is asleep.

Sleep Timer

Hi guys,
love my Leo the longer I have it.
Just one question: has anybody been able to find a sleep timer for Leo? I always fall asleep listening to music or audio book played with the built-in (music tab) player. On my HD, I used PHM Sleep Timer, ticked the option to suspend the device after timeout, it worked like a charm. Unfortunatelly, this doesn't seem to be working on Leo. I suspect the problem is that the sleep timer switches off the screen. The HD hibernated, music stopped, but Leo can play music also with screen off..
Anybody knows about a software or utility that would be able to stop playing the music by hibernating the device? I know that there are music players with built-in sleep timers but I like the music tab player and don't want to install another player if I can avoid it.
Any suggestions welcome
No suggestions?
Don't know a software that fits your needs yet. But how about quickly putting together a custom playlist before going to sleep? That's what I've done for quite some time even on my far "simpler" device like the N82. Want it to end playing in an hour or so? Just put in songs/audiobooktracks worth an hour and there you go.

Music volume control issues with PocketPlayer

Hello mates
It's been a while I have been working to fix these issues with HTC HD2's new headset:
- The Next Track/Last Track buttons on the headset do not work with Pocket Player
- When the screen is off (the phone is in your pocket and you are listening to music with Pocket Player), the volume rocker buttons on the phone itself do not work. (You have to take the phone out of your pocket and turn on the screen, unlock the silder and then turn the volume up or down)
If anyone could help with this issue, that would be great!
Hi any luck on this? Were you able to assign buttons for functions?
I am considering buying HD2 and use Pocket Player everyday. Thanks.
I think that Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP)‎ is given by default to HTC Sense's Music Player because whenever you press any command on handset/carstereo is switches to that Music Plater ignoring your already active PocketPlayer
I've given up on trying to find solution to it and also contacting HTC because of their ignorant customer service
Weird. Never had that. But I also never used HTC Music Player.
I believe I have a solution for this (with the compromise of getting rid of HTC Sense). If anyone is interested, pls let me know.
Same issue here.
I can not control Pocket Player with my headset controls.
If someone can make this happen there is 20 dlls from me on it (double of what I paid for the player itself).
Thanks for your support and I hope there is a solution for this.
Regards
Use a ROM without HTC Sense / Install PP / In Options, plugins, "update now" / tap WM plugin then tap "configure" / check the "Intercept WMP", then all all items from "Load WMP Plugins" like "HTC WMP" and tick all boxes below, checking "next/back=Rewind/FF" and "play/pause"

Something to work without changing ROMs?
I would like to keep my phone as it is with manufacturer ROM (Sense included) and have the wired controls work with Pocket Player.
The plan is to make a AUX cable with the controls and install it on my car, then I can just change songs without any distracting from the road.
thanks
