Hi, i've tried the great rom Wm6 a02 for mi axim x50v maded by maglite and football. I want translate it in my language, but i don't know how dump the finally rom .nb0, because i've only this rom on witch work, i've dumped the rom wm6 .bin by wm emulator. If anyone know how dump the rom .nb0 please contact me, their name will appear in the crator of translate and so evrybody that have x50v and x51v in my country know him. Apoligise me for my english, i'm italian. Thanx to all.

Get the tool's used to dump nba files.
The nbo file is nothing more than a nba file renamed.
I've extracted the new A03 rom realy easy by putting the nbo file in the same dir as the nba tools, and renamed the file to nk.nba. There should be a batch file called nba_to_dump.bat so once you did the rename, run that batch file, and when it's done, (it has two stages) you'll notice a nice little folder called Dump in that directory. Open that folder to see the files.

i´m intrested in editig a IPAQ 2210 ROM.
there is also a .nbf file and i can view it with a acsii editor, but i don´t know how to extract files from it.
i tryed ER2003Edit but it tolds me that i have to enter a password for the nbf file.
i also tryed to use "OSImageTool.exe" but it hangs allways at the same thing.

I tried to localize WM6 in Italian using Faria Rom Kitchen and 0410.mui files extracted from emulator images. What's the simpliest way to do this?

it is a emulator image .. this will emulate the wm6 on your pc
it probably uses different files and stuff then the wm6 rom has on your device
it translates the data from a wm6 mobile device program to something the pc
can handle and show on your pc desktop
i read somewhere on this forum that one cant replace this language dll just
like that as it is part of the operatingsystem as well..
i think u need a italian rom for this.. if there is one u know who's to first to be
having this

I have a Qtek 9100 (HTC Wizard) and installed the ITALIAN ROM IWT MAMELI, so I have windows mobile 6.1.
values are IPL 2.26 and SPL 2:26 so I have a G3 upgrade to version 6.x Windows Mobile.
now I want to install a clean version of Windows Mobile 6.5 (this version), unfortunately I found it only in English but I will try it. I always download and opening the rar archive, I found one file:
nk.nbf
Shocked
How do I update the ROM? What do I need? I tried to google a bit but I swear that I have not found anything. the only thing I understood is that the NBF file see language on the ROM of the phone and if doesn't correspond to the language of the ROM that I want, the upload stop.
now I have the Italian on the wizard, while I should put one in English! What should I do?

you can't use RUU MUN?
I don't know what is RUU MUN!!
When I upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1, I used a rom with .exe format, so I installed everything with a double click..
download RUU from the attachments. Copy nk.nbf in the RUU 2.5.2 folder. After that run romupdateutility.exe

I have already read the wiki but it doesn't speak how to install rom having NBF file. I followed the wiki when I installed Windows Mobile 6.1.
Now I know that I can install the 6.5 because I have IPL and SPL 2.26.
But if I have an italian ROM with Italian language and NBF file contains an English rom, I can upload the new rom? or freeze?

It shouldn't matter what language you had. The new rom language will replace the old one.

NBH Utility from Olipro 2008 (NBHutil.exe) is the prog u need for this as far as i know, i ve it under a directory called "createa boot", and i found it searching something to make my own bootscreen ...

Ok since much time has past and our fellow Russians have developed win6.5 ROM but the only problem is that its in Russian! its for free but only in russian language. so i contacted a guy who did ROM and he told me that he doesnt do cooking anymore and he gave me links to kitchens and tools but he didnt gave me any manual or tutorial. I will put these links here so that people more experianced in ROM cooking could provide us with English or other language ROM. Oh and a guy named Veisen did an auto kitchen but it has problems with SMS and Wifi network as well as with some other functions.

For build new ROM for hp ipaq 514 need:
1)Make dump from worked smartphone.
Use pdocread tools from collection http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=XdaUtils
Need dump two partition IMGFS and XIP
2)Decompile dump, use tools from kitchen
3)Add OEM file from original ROM to ROM-donor
Or use BuildOS tools for make package list.

4)Build imgfs and xip
5)Convert imgfs image to *.OSx files and build .nbf file
5)Write .nbf to smartphone
Exclude .bl, .xl, .yl (bootloader's) file from you ROM for safe smartpone.
If new firmware bad - you look bootscreen, splash-screen and stop.
My tools from kitchen not worked for official ROM.

i dump Part00, Part01 and Part02 raw and than i dont know how to extract them, i know that 00 and 01 are XIP and 02 is IMGFS but i dont know how to extract them or i have failed to do it...
