There is Register setting as below (BACK UP YOUR DEVICE BEFORE CHANGING THE REGISTRY)
Repeat notifications for text , email messages and missed calls
Under HKCU/ControlPanel/Notifications find the following keys for Email, Text messages and missed phone calls:
A877d65Axxxxxxx
A877d65Bxxxxxxx
A877D660xxxxxxx
Also find Key 15F11F90xxxx for reminders.
Copy the Options value from the Reminders key and overwrite the options value in missed calls or both email and text message keys with this value (1073741853)
Once you have done this, go to start - settings - sounds and notifications - notifications. Under events, select new email message, new text message or missed calls and you'll notice that the repeat option that was grayed out is now enabled and can be selected.
Cheers (dont forget to backup your device before)
I have tried the similar approach (using other software that seems to able to hack the Notification settings) to enable the repeat option. With that enabled, I have a problems with my 5 seconds WAV sound for SMS. When I cancel the message while the WAV is playing, it is somehow not recognised as a 'dismissed' notification, and it keeps on 'bugging'. That's quiet a while ago, and possibly on the 1st versin of WM5. Probably you'll get lucky on the newer OS, but I think the may have the option greyed out for a reason.
Anyway, do that Bulldog said, backup your system, just incase you need a hardreset.

Everytime I send or recieve a sms message to/from a person in my contact list, his/her birthday notification gets doubled in my Calendar.
I tried to remove all double notifications in Outlook (on my pc), syncd. and the double notifications on my TP went away.....
However, after receiving a new sms, the problem came back again.
I had this problem with many WM devices, and it bugs me a lot that I can't resolve this problem.
I also tried to remove the double notifications with Memmaid, but again the problem reoccurred.
Can anyone help me?
(and don't tell me to search because I did.....with no result)
Suggestions:
Did you disable the "Add new number to contacts...." under settings/personal/phone??
Or change the Name display for known numbers to a lower value, if you just see the number and not the name. (advanced config, you know the tricks)
Other than that, it can only be Outlook, sorry, no suggestions, i avoid that crap.

I can't believe that I'm the only one with this problem
yes, "Add new number to contacts..." is disabled.
The problem has nothing to do with my contacts (no double contacts/Sim contacts sh*t. I know how to get rid of those)
perhaps you are right: it might be a Outlook problem....
I will digg deep into my Outlook setting tonight to find the problem, I just hoped that I was not the only one and that there was an easy fix for my problem.
Thnx karloe!
This isn't really Raphael specific but I was in a meeting today and got a call and wondered if there was any kind of program to auto-reply a caller with a text saying something like "Meeting" or whatever.
Its halfway there with the send text option on the incoming call screen and would resemble away messages on an instant messenger. If its out there has anyone heard of it? Possible for someone to tackle it and try to develop something? Might be neat
I thought that was already in the dialer? I remember seeing an option in my Fuze (before ROM Flash) about sending a text back to people who called stating you are busy orsomething. I think it was editable so you can have it say what you want.
There are some apps out there though that do just that.

This one is from 2005 but there were some new ones recently. Just can't remember their names.
theres definitely something buried in the settings for this.
i believe i was changing ring tones and noticed it...
it's for when you reject a call it will send a text which you can edit
perhaps:
start > settings > phone > advanced
is what your looking for?
never tried it to see if it actually works tho.
MagiCall from Mobiion does just that.

yep right there theres an option to enable the reply text
But when you press "reply with SMS", it takes you to SMS edit, wher eyou have to press send again. IT's really slow when some's ringing. I would prefer it sent the predefined text directly.
Hi people.
I've spend a couple days searching and trawling around google and various fora (including these ones) but can't seem to find exactly what I want... which is:
I want to be able to disable email, SMS and MMS notifications at night when I'm trying to sleep. However I still want to be able to hear the alarm I've set to wake me up in the morning...
I realise I could do this manually through the "sounds and Notifications" menu in WM6 "settings", but its a right pain in the arse.
I've tried the PhoneAlarm free trial, but it doesn't let you switch off specific notification types like e.g. just email and SMS, but not general alarms.
Anyone got any ideas or can suggest a program. I don't need lots of bells and whistles and other unnecessary control features - just a quick way to set the profile to a setting that turns off email and SMS notifications, but keeps on alarms - I'm even happy to press a button for this each night and don't mind if it doesn't automatically switch at my preferred time.
thanks in advance for any help guys.
ps. I'm running stock O2 WM6.0 UK ROM - I've never changed it... so please, please, please don't tell me I need to upgrade the ROM to 6.1 I'm way too busy and need my phone and pda working at all times to be dealing with flashing a new ROM and re-installing all my progs and entering email settings etc...
PhoneWeaver
I use a timed silent profile that switches back to normal before the first alarm of the day
hi
use spb phone suite for this, it allows you to switch. There are other programs that do this that may be free but i cannot for the life of me rememeber they were i somewhere on here i think... someone started a thread on it
and for alarm use g-alarm as its by far the best out there, if your not already using it that is
Hi guys!
I own a Touch 3g (Jade). After the last (and first) Hard Reset my phone doesnt play a sound or vibrate when an sms arrives.
after the hard reset it worked without problems. I already checked the windows settings, a sound is activated. As well i activated the LED and a notification bubble. Those work without problems.
I've already been searching the registry and found the values wich calibrate the sms notification, but they where correct (ive read a post in this forum about that topic as well).
has anybody an idea of how to make my phone ring and vibrate again when sms arrive?
I would rehardreset it had times when that was necessary
is there no other option? i really dont want to reconfigure everything again

You don't need to hard reset, because if you do you're just gonna install the previous programs that corrupted your settings for SMS sound notifications.
That's all you need to know really. Everything else is just trial and error from there.
i've solved the issuie via installing smiley sms
thx alot for ur help
just go into your sound/alert settings, and pick a new sound or set it to vibrate. (is this not common sense?) it is built into windows mobile. i cannot believe you installed a 3rd part application that will just slow your phone down more, when the fix is just a settings change
didnt work, as i wrote i checked those settings, tried to change the sounds and even searched the registry....
but its a good solution, now i got smilies in my sms too
cheers
I am quite frustrated by now and have tried all tricks on this forum(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460368) to stop the email LED notification without any success. No matter what, the green blinking led comes up on receiving new email and would not go till I open the Email application and open an email.
Any ideas please?
have you tried this?

This is not supposed to work with TP2 I heard from everybody?
not sure never messed with notifications, but I recall reading somewhere on ppc issues w/ nueled. There are a couple other tweaks out there (this is for a tilt 2, so back up your registry because i'm not sure it will be the same).

*edit*
This might work better because mr.x and mightmike created it (specifically for CDMA tp2)

I did try the cab - Not sure if this actually works for email (I was not concerned about it then) BUT this once screws up the Vibration on Keyboard/Phone pad everything and I had to uninstall it.
I will try the first link and let you know.

Im assuming you reset your device and then configured notifications once it was installed?

I did not reset my device. I installed the cab, configured the options and then must reset the device a few times for other reasons. Not doubting the efficacy of the fix, I never tested how well the cab actually works. I then realized (after quite a bit if sweat), that it was this cab, which screwed of the vibration on display keyboard. So I uninstalled it.
Now I am hunting to get the email LED notification out. I did find those registry tweaks and applied them. Infact, as I write, the check box for led is off for email.

A lot of times registry changes won't take place until a soft reset. I have made it a habit to soft reset after installing programs or making changes to verify everything works.

Enable LED Notification Setting in Sound and Notifications [with my changes for to make it work for Touch Pro2 but it should be good for HD2 as well.]
If you want to get the addresses for HTC HD2 just click the keys up and down in the same area of the registry, and look at what is specified. Or go to the link below for the original forum where I got the info from before I made modifications to their info to make it fit for Touch Pro2]
For Touch Pro2 running on stock ROM wm6.5 for Sprint:
Messaging: New Email Message
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
“AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)
Messaging: New Text Message
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D65B-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
“AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)
Phone: Missed Call
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D660-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
“AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)
Phone: Voice Mail
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D661-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
“AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)
Messaging: New MMS
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{C346 5585-39EF-4c9b-B2A3-5558BF27BFB0}]
“AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)
Soft reset. Go to Sounds and Notifications, and uncheck "Flash light for" for each item that you fixed above. "Flash light for" will no longer be grayed out.

Does anyone know of any registry tweaks to disable the flashing red LED notification for low battery in Touch Pro2? I tried to disable it through the "Low battery warning" flash option in Sounds and Notifications menu of wm6, but that does not work. If you want to know how to enable "Low battery warning" in Sounds and Notifications menu, here are the instructions:
1. Search for the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}\.
2. Create a new String value, name it Default and set its value to Low battery warning.
3. Now move to Start -> Settings -> Personal tab -> Sounds & Notifications applet -> Notifications tab, choose Low battery warning value from the Select an event drop-down menu and set whatever you want.
