Anyone using Jeyo Extender to download SMS'? - General Topics

I've previously been using Jeyo Extended with Outlook, along with my WM5 phone (MDA Pro).
I've just upgraded to a WM6 phone (Kaiser - yay!) and i was wondering if the latest version of Jeyo (2.5) supports Windows Mobile 6?
(seeing as in WM5, SMS + MMS are filed separately, and in WM6 they're all in the same folder)
Thanks!

It works flawlessly with my WM6 PPC's and Smartphones - even the older, 1.5 version.

Oh right... weird!
I'm assuming that it just ignores the MMS messages? (i'm not interested in downloading them really - just hoping it wont interfere with the SMS')

Windows XP / Lotus Notes @ work, Vista / Windows Mail @ home. Sync?

Sorry for the long title, it was the best I could come up with.
First, the facts:
My work PC uses Windows XP and Lotus Notes 6.5.
My home computer is Vista Business, Outlook is NOT installed.
My phone is (well, will be, when it arrives) a Cingular 8125/HTC Wizard. From what I can gather on the forums, I have the option of running WM5 or WM6.
I only care about syncing my contacts and calendar, email is of no concern.
My questions are:
Is it possible to sync contacts and calendar info in the above scenario? From a few posts I read here and elsewhere, it seems you need to install Outlook in order to sync to Vista.
If this is possible, what mix of software will allow this?
I support I'd prefer WM6 for my device, but for no real reason other than being "the latest". Would I be better served sticking to WM5?
If I *have* to install Outlook at home to get this working, what version would be best? Would Outlook 2007 be able to import my existing rules/filters, messages, etc?
Am I missing anything else?
Thanks!
-Brett.

I have done some searching and I'm familiar with Easysync Pro. I'm running an older version now for my Pocket PC 2002 PDA now. (v4.22). The latest version has the following requirements...
Supported mobile devices:
Microsoft Pocket PC 2000 / 2002 / 2003 / Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC devices (ActiveSync)
Looks like it's not ready for WM6?

Do you have any personal experience with this?
I checked out the vendor's site and it looks promising:
Compatible Devices:
...- Windows Mobile 5 & 6
However:
Works with applications:
- Microsoft Outlook 98, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007
- Lotus Notes R5, 6.0, 6.5, 7.0
- Novell Groupwise 6.5 SP2/7.0
- Lotus Organizer 5.0, 6.0, 6.1
- ACT! 2000, 5.0, 6.0
Looks like I'd have to install Outlook at home. Not a huge deal, but Windows Mail is working fine for us.
Thanks,
-Brett.
There might be a simpler solution: try one (or more) of the online syncing services. Many are free, some have paid adds-ons that are even more useful, and best - no extra software to install.
I haven't tried them myself yet -- but planning to do so soon -- but I want try mobical.net, zyb.com, and plaxo.com (in that order).
If anyone has links to good, informative reviews to these 3 services, I'm eager to see them.
"Do you have any personal experience with this?"
nop just did the search dont have any exp with notes
EasySync Pro is working well for WM6.
fyi .. I am using Atom Exec. Windows XP with Lotus Notes 7.0 and EasySync 4.2.4
IBM / Lotus have recently released EasySync 4.2.5 - but you have to pay for it...
Pity I didn't find that out before my Kaiser arrived today!

WM6.1 Threaded SMS compatibility wit Jeyo Mobile Extender 2.5

Hi!
I back-up my TyTN II SMS using Jeyo Mobile Extender 2.5. To those who also use Jeyo & have upgraded to WM6.1 with threaded messaging SMS, may I know whether the back-up still works? Because I'm not sure how the threaded messages will translate into single lines Outlook interface. That's my only concern about updating to WM6.1. If it backs-up alright, I will upgrade to WM6.1
Thank you
Don't worry, it will work. I've restored all my SMS using Jeyo.

Thanks cayotte for the response. However, I'm not too concerned about transferring back sms to my phone, because at least I have back-ups on my PC, & so, I don't even mind if I start afresh after upgrading to WM6.1, ie with no SMS at all on my phone. However, my concern is the threading feature because, as you know, Outlook doesn't have threading feature. So, how does the sms on the phone gets transferred to Outlook through Jeyo? Will it be transferred as one line item, ie like normal,or, my worst nightmare, is it doesn't get transferred at all (because Outlook doesn't recognize the threading feature)?
Jeyo Mobile Companion treats them as one line items, so its highly likely that mobile extender will as well...

Yes, it's true. Jeyo Mobile Companion will treat them as one line items.
That's all I needed to know before upgrading. Thanks guys.
I'm using Jeyo Mobile Companion for all my backup/restore needs. The new version exports the backup to a .xml file which makes searching them so much painless.

thanks guys for confirming that the back-ups still work, even with the new sms-threading feature of WM6.1. I can start planning for my upgrading now

Integrating with Sharepoint via Outlook 2003 on Vista

Hi,
I'm looking for a phone that will sync with my sharepoint folders on outlook 2003 (eg contacts, calendars), without needing to use chapura pocketmirror (which doesn't seem to be very compatible with vista??)
Does anyone do this? What phone do you use? My old ipaq 2210 used to do it using pocketmirror with no worries - but my treo 750 doesn't like it at all.
Any advice?
Cheers,
Steve

sms through pc

Hi guys,
does anybody know an application, where I can send SMS through pc ? I used to used Efficasoft Mobile Express, but after upgrade to WM6.5 does not work very good.
Thank you for your help and suggestions.
jeyo mobile
I'm trialling Jeyo - looks useful.
I use My Mobiler while the phone charges; Full remote control of the phone.
TrueConnect
Although it has some serious issues with winmo 6.5 - as it doesent work
but for winmo 6.1 it's flawlessly combined with outlook 2007
/Smirge
My Mobiler also gets my Thumbs up - at bit slow at times but its a great app for free
