Hi all,
Anyone know how to fix this really annoying issue? Every time I hit the voice dial button on my bluetooth headset instead of starting the voice dial app I get the stupid phone app, and it is driving me insane.
I already double and triple-checked the HKLM\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand reg key and the PATH value calls the proper executable, but it still refuses to work.
Thanks in advance for any [email protected]
You should ask this on the particular ROM thread that you're using on your device, instead of starting a new thread.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTA GExtModule = "\Windows\btagext.dll" (string)
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path = "\Windows\VoiceCmd.exe" (string)
Try the above two and soft reset, it might work.

That's the funny part... I have seen this with two different ROMs! Even funnier. the problem just fixed itself a few minutes ago. That is what's vexing me.
As far as the registry settings, they are as recommended.
Thanks for your input!

OEMAGW.dll appears to be missing from my windows mobile 6 universal, i think its needed for voice speed dial to work over bluetooth... Im trying to switch back to voice speed dial as voice command doesnt seem to do anything (im guessing it needs training, but i cant see how to train it). Can anyone make this file available for me as I really need speed dial for my car's hands free headunit. Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
I have uploaded the voice dial on the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345256&page=7
I am not sure if this is what you are looking for!
KOR!
OK, thanks , im gonna give it a go, re-installing using that cab, and using the REG file... I was just after the dll for the OEM bluetooth audio gateway.
If i explain the problem i have maybe someone will have experienced it before. I recently flashed with JWRIGHT's rom (FANTASTIC BTW ) but it comes with voice command not just voice speed dial... which i cant get to work (pretty sure its me doing something wrong), anyway im quite happy with voice speed dial, so i want to just use that instead... I install it, apply a couple of REG fixes (just pointing to SDDIALER i think) and set it up on the button. When i press the button it works fine, but when i use bluetooth it appears to activate both voice speed dial and voice command at the same time. I get two seperate bleeps, one from speed dial and a different one from voice command, then if i dont say what its expecting it asks me to please repeat... they seem to conflict and as such it doesnt work. I think that its is something to do with the bluetooth gateway, so i just want to point the registry to the standard one... but i cant find it in the windows folder... The DLL is OEMAGW.dll .
Im hoping if i can get that and update the registry it will work... i could be wrong as im still new to playing with new roms and stuff.
Off topic a little, Im interested in trying to cook my own roms, but i dont know where to begin... im a programmer by trade but i dont really have any experience in this sort of thing. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
I have just upgraded to the tilt .
I have installed ms voice Command 1.6 and also the bt voice Command hack to allow voice Command to come over my bluetooth . Well it's not working . even if I edit the reg. I also tried the vc16btfix , still didn't work. is there something i'm missing ?

I have 8925 with Custel ROM. I've read here and there that people upgrade and install the BT Hack...
But I never had to. I had the 8525 and I remember I had to add the BT Hack (and give it like 15 seconds or whatever...) to transfer all audio to BT. But at least on my 8925, right out of hard reset, VC 1.6 works fine with my BT Headset (Jabra, Jawbone, few Motorolas, etc...all of them works fine).
Search button is a good friend on this forum it helped me find my solution for this exact same problem

Hallelujah! I finally figured it out- so it did have to do with the XCSDM setting I believe... so here is what I did for anyone else that is wondering:
1. Installed MSVC 1.6 (from the link in the TNT ROM posted earlier)
2. Soft Reset
3a. Made registry change to set Path = \Program Files\Voice Command\voicecmd.exe (no quotes)
3b. Change button assignment (assigned to Button 6/PTT in my case)
4. Soft Reset
5. Enable XCSDM
6. Soft Reset
7. Disable XCSDM
8. Soft Reset
9. Pair Bluetooth Headset
It seems to be working...the best I can figure is that when it initially gets installed the XCSDM doesn't have any value at all, but by enabling it, and then disabling it, it actually turns it off as opposed to having a null value. Also note that since I am using Alex's 'UltraClean' ROM, there were never any Cyberon installation traces, and therefore I ignored those sections.
In any case it seems to be working great and I'm very happy.
Thank you everyone for all your help, and hopefully what I listed above will help someone else.

i'm using the original wm6 that came with th tilt. when I do push the button on my headset it's like all the handset volume is transferred to the headset
i had same issues then i tried the steps above and solved my problem i'm not on the original att rom anymore though i'm using dutty's dualtouch v3 rom. You should try those steps mentioned above should solve your problem if not then dunno sorry i went crazy my self trying to fix this problem then when i tried this solution it worked i was so happy all the headaches and times searching forums finally paid off LOL. Anyhow good luck.
Running Dutty's v2K fixed and . . .
no issues with MSVC 1.6 without hack. sometimes stops responding but either turning my BT off and on again, or SR fixes it. Using a Jawbone if that makes a difference.
Problem after updating to new ATT Tilt Rom
I cant use voice command through the headset anymore after upgrading the rom from HTC. What happens now is when I press the Bluetooth button it transfers any sound to the headset (Music playing from MP or in call voice) but will not allow me to use any Voice command functions.
Please HELP!!
Redundant...

Funny you should say that. I have been trying DCS1.3 and the bluetooth works fine (both headset and a2dp profiles) and in Dutty's 6.1 rom (WHICH IS SUPERB I MUST SAY !!!) the headset profile works fine but the a2dp stereo occasionally cuts out. Done it a few times and it wasn't a range issue or anything. Anyone else had this !!
It's a shame because dutty's 6.1 rom is amazing. Love the speed of the cube and the beautiful icons !
Is it just me or has anyone else experienced this ?
maybe its just me!
am i the only one with this issue?
bluetooth
Mine works fine- I have three headsets and a Bluetooth GPS synced up.
pairing is no issue for me. I cant get the BT working with Voice Dialer.
Few ppl including myself have ask for solution in Dutty's thread, but no luck. I am currently using 3.03 leak version and it works great.
Did you HARD RESET after flashing the 6.1 rom at the "tap here" screen?

I have only just installed the new ROM and ran a few quick tests with the parrot minikit. It paired okay but then I had a few intermittent problems. Sometimes dialling from the phone would not automatically transfer to the minikit and sometimes I could not transfer a conversation from the phone to the minikit. Other times these worked okay. I did not try answering from the minikit as no-one called me while I was testing.
Only tried this once so will try again tonight and then try the bluetooth fixes and report back.
Using Radio 1.64.08.21 on Orange TyTN II and did the hard reset after installation.

Again...tried... map the botton..... i have try everything I can think of, but... no solution....
BTW, the botton 6 "PTT" map will start the voice dialer. BUT... what I need is press the botton on BT device to start voice dialer and I will heard a "beep" to start voice dialer while I am driving or doing oter thing without touch my phone. When I press the botton on BT device, it goes to dial pad or I can't heard the "beep" again, and it start the voice dial in "mute" mode... I have never experience in any other ROM I tried before. So far I have not yet found any solution. I need the BT device, because I am always on phone while doing other things.

same problem here, was working great on all the 6.0 roms but since 6.1 not working for me.. i hear no sound in the headset. i do see the headset icon on the dialer screen, but the button on the headset does nothing for me.. I am using the motorola h700 i believe.
UK TYTN II with Dutty's 6.1 rom works fine for me. Holding the BT button on headset launches voice dialler ( Schaps cyberon version) Double pressing the BT headset button dials last number. Single press on BT headest answers call when the phone rings.
Can you attack the CAb you use? I might have the older version of Cyberon.
Thanks

Thanks guys,
Those are the 2 files I found last night, but did not have the chance to try them yet.
Cyberon voice command is almost 2MB and compare with Cyberon Voice Dialer 617k. What are the difference between these two??
Anyone know which one works properly with bluetooth and announcements?
thanks
MS Voice Command
I use MS Voice Command v1.60.4622.0; it works fine . I've made an update from the older Version v1.5, which didn't work on the TD1 either.
I have to admitted, my TD2 arrived only 3 days ago, so I couldn't use voice command for hours, but making a call ist very easy, the speaker of the TD2 is of good quality.
and what about announcing incoming calls by dictating the caller ID name or incoming phone number? I was trying it with MS VC 1.6.19971 without success :-/
Hi,
which button is VC using?

Rodik

Can you tell me which button you remaped?
no one knows? i tried every button in the list and also its not possible to set it up as a new one.... damn i need this!!!
You can map it in settings, personal, buttons. Select MS voice command from the list on the right. This will then also work with bluetooth headset button.
I can't get incoming caller announce to work on any UK version.
no, there is only button 1 shown!
also i need this for a wired headset, no bluetooth crap
I'm using MS Voice Command v1.60.4622.0 and everything works as it should. I have mapped the long press call button and it works with a bluetooth button as well. It works with both hands free units I have in our two cars and also with the Garmin Zumo on my motorbike. Caller id announcements work also as long as your bluetooth unit supports that function.
ok, it works for me with bluetooth as well, but i want to use the button og my ear phones! i love music and there is not good solution for bluetooth. so in the next days i get an adapter to use my high performace era pohnes and i would like zo use vc with the button on this adapter! the problem is it doesnt work with the one includet!! so please dont tell me it works with the blue one!!
ok, got it!

Did you fix call announcements?
This registry edit gets announcements to work:
Edit this registry key:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\Category
Change from VoiceCommand1 to Ring
It should now work, but sounds level is low. To increase the sound level, I did this edit:
HKCU\Control Panel\Sound Categories\Voice Command1\AttenutationCategory
I set it to 4 which is decent, you can go to 5, but I see no difference going louder. Using 0 or 1 will make it whisper quiet.
If that does not make it louder, then edit:
HKCU\Control Panel\Sound Categories\Ring\AttenutationCategory
Same thing, set to 4 or 5.
damn, doesnt work for me...!
Did you restart?
Edit:
This fixed it on my TD2 with MSVC UK1.6, the same version loaded on a Touch Diamond this fix didn't work. This program really is so odd.
sure, not only once, i also spend some time waintig, thought it could take a while but nothing! using vc1.60.4622uk... i think i will wait for wm 6.5 and the new integrated vc
I had problems with starting via Key 1.
I made a shortcut of voicecmd.exe und assigned the shortcut to key 1.
Works now via key 1.
Bluetooth headset key worked before.
Path in registry didn't help

Hi,
What i did, to get MS Voice Command v1.60.4622.0 French version
retail, working with bluetooth Callerid's announcement:
i installed it (ps: dont forget to activate the notification via bluetooth, obvious but i forgot that before trying many manipulations ;-) )
All worked except notification via bluetooth
(i eared the ringtone instead of callerid)
i tried to replace some V.C files by the 1.6.192.13, because that was working with my Kaiser stock rom 6.1(but noway with the Topaz)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2186001&postcount=254
(also tried with 192.14, 199.71,199.65,19209 but be careful some of the VoiceCommand_PPC.cpl versions made my topaz always rebooting the key to solve that worry was to replace via activesync the cpl file before the pin prompt, via explorer from desktop in the topaz/windows folder )
finally i uninstalled all, reinstalled retail 1.60.4622, Desactivated voice command (step quoted below perhaps not necessary, up to you)
And replaced the three files
VoiceCommand_PPC.cpl in /windows
VoiceCommandWMP.dll in \program files\voice command\
voicecmd.exe in \program files\voice command\
by those version 1.6.192.13
(ps: replacing VoiceCmdRes_PPC.dll with v1.6.192.13 as said in the link above made voicecommand crash when activating it)

After i tried the regedit (backup first !!) given at the begining of that thread
hklm\software\oem\voicecommand\
created string key "Path" value "\program files\voice command\voicecmd.exe"
Edited this registry key:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\Category
i renamed the DATA of the string "category" from:
"VoiceCommand1" to "Ring"
to increase the volume i set to 4 the AttenutationCategory in
HKCU\Control Panel\Sound Categories\Voice Command1\
After a reset, announcements via bt are working

Does MSVC work with the newer Sakajati ROMs based on 6.5 or not. I have a tad of ADD and can't keep up
This has been an ongoing problem with my last two phones. First was an HTC Touch Pro, now an HTC Touch Pro2. It doesn't matter if I am on a stock or custom ROM or whatever.
I noticed that when I called people, especially when the headphone jack was plugged in (using the auxiliary port in my car speakers) that people would be unable to hear me for a good 5 to 30 seconds. I could hear them but they couldn't hear me. Eventually they'd be able to hear me.
I kept killing processes one by one until I narrowed it down. It was Microsoft Voice Command! I was really surprised because I use the program only for announcing who is calling me (very nice feature so I don't have to run to the phone if it's someone I don't care about). I don't use it for dialing or anything of the like.
I have Googled for hours and a few people have the same problem but the only fix appears to be "don't use Voice Command" which sucks. I guess what I'm asking is if either a) there's a way to fix MSVC so this doesn't happen or b) there's a program that announces who is calling you that I can use instead of MSVC.
MSVC was annoying anyway because when you click "mute ring" when someone is calling you it still repeats the name! Pretty stupid. So I guess I'd just like some sort of replacement program for announcing incoming calls. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks but that program did little more than allow me to change the volumes and speeds.
I have the same issue with my Blackstone. When I check the running process I find that Voice Command takes almost 100 pct and James everything else.
I also Need it to announce who is calling.
Yeah I'm essentially giving up on MSVC ever working correctly, so if anyone know of a program that just announces who is calling, that would work just great.

MVC1.6 - no please! i am looking for a Voice activated app...
What good is that MVC1.6 if you have to Press a button and then say command? its called crap. Such a Program is already inbuilt in my WM6.
I am looking for a Voice program that keeps running in the background and its always in the listening mode and I can simply "SAY" these commands "as well".
1) WakeUp - wakes up my PPC
2) Sleep - PPC goes to Sleep mode (PPC is On though)
3) Programmed to wake me up at a particular time (by a beautiful Virtual Girl)
4) and Features of MVC1.6
is there anything like that for PPC WM6 ? CE5.2 version?
