Hi,
When I actavate the wifi on my SPV E650 (vox), and the phone goes in low power mode (screen goes black), after 10 secondes the WIFI disconnect itself (that's OK), but there is a BIP when it does it.
After even when the keyboard is locked, if I press a key the Wifi seems to wake up for a while, then disconnect again and BIP again.
Is there a way to
1) get rid of the BIP
2) avoid the WIFI to try to reconnect when the keyboard is locked ?
If I deactivate the WIFI completly, it stop beeping but then my wifi don't work anymore...
In the power mode of the wifi settings there is an option to have the phone not deactivating WIFI when the screen goes off. But then you have to manually put on / off your wifi.
Unfortunately WIFI drains a lot your battery...
Ka
Thanks that could do it.
Actually now I'm manually deactivating the WIFI unless I really want to use it.
But I'm upset that I can't get rid of the beep when the WIFI is deactivated.

Hi,
Please can you help, I have had problems with my XDA2i using Tomtom 3. In order for it to work properly I need to turn the phone off whilst maintaining the use of Bluetooth to connect to my Bluetooth GPS.
The question I have is how to turn off the phone whilst maintaining the bluetooth turned On. I know how to turn the phone off using Turn On Flight Mode the problem is this turns off everything, Bluetooth and all!
I have read a post that to turn off the phone I just press the Hang up button for 3 secs, This idea doesn't seem to do anything.
If I turn on the Flight mode then try to turn on the Bluetooth, it says I must turn off flight mode which in turn turns on the phone!
Can you help
Cheers

Can't answer your question other than 1) don't understand why your Tom Tom won't work with the phone on 2) holding the red "end" button for 3 seconds will only disconnect you from GPRS connection.
Your Tom Tom should work with a BT headset, BT GPS and the phone radio on all at once.
Check your set-up and you'll find it works.
Tom Tom 3
I have the same issue if my phone rings whilst using Tom Tom it will stop the navigation system and I have to reset the XDA...I have found that seting flight mode on and then switching it off actually doesn't renable the phone just wifi and bluetooth the phone switches itself on when you make a call..
I thought that was the case, My XDA2i software must be bugged at it re-enables the phone if I do that.
My old XDA2 worked a treat, I just turned on Flight Mode, then Turned it off and the Bluetooth worked and the phone stayed off. To turn the phone on I went into the phone and chose settings it then prompted me for a "do you want to turn the phone on" question.
My New XDA2i doesn't do that, I turn on flight mode, then turn it off and all 3 (wirelss, Bluetooth and Phone) come back on.
If I play around with the XDA2i I can manage to get the phone to stay off but it is problematic.
Any Help?
Cheers

Ok here is how to do it, ive just done it without having a problem.
1) Start Tomtom with it communicating to the Bluetooth GPS and Phone is on.
2) Whilst tomtom is running turn on flightmode (turning off all Wireless and Phone)
3) Go back into Tomtom and it should have lost its connection to BT you will see it hasn't disabled the GPS though!
4) Turn on BT in the Bluetooth Settings in the settings menu of the XDA2i
5) XDA2i will then pop up a message saying turn off flight mode first, try to close that popup and it will take several seconds whilst it closes the popup.
6) Hey presto the delay was caused by the XDA2i trying to turn on Wirelss with out the Phone.
7) You now have just wirelss on and not the phone.
Let me know if this works for you, it has for me each time.
Cheers

I turn on wifi and used it for..lets say 15 minutes. Then i turned it off.But the battery life looks like it has wifi on, it eats about 80% in 8 hours.Far from the normal 10%.If i reboot the device, the problem goes away so it there a solution other than rebooting after every wifi use?
What is the status of your wifi connexion in the comm manager ?
Hello,
I have an old android 2.2 phone (Karbonn A1) and I use it as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Its battery is dead so I just plug it in my PC via USB cable and it turns on and it turns off as soon as the PC shuts down. Now every-time I turn my PC on, on the phone I have to go to setting and then turn on the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot on every single time. So is there any way that I can permanently turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot, like when the phone is turned off and then turned on the data connection is always on until I turn it off manually but the Wi-Fi hotspot turns off when the phone is turned off. My phone is rooted.
Any help would be appreciated.

im not sure if it will work on a system version that old, but there is an app called llama that will turn it on automatically.
how you would set it up is:
-delete all the pre installed events as you wont need them
-create a new event
-add condition, "enter/in area" and choose "home"
-add action, "wifi hotspot"
-back out and it will save
-now go to "areas/home", long press and select "learn". i recommend at least 2 hours for best results.
thats it. it should now boot up and turn on the hotspot (provided you are home).
it uses cell signatures, not gps. so it wont tax your already dead battery
hope that helps
Is it just me or does WiFi turn off when you get an incoming phone call? When I am at home, I am hooked up to wifi. When I get a call on my N5, I can see the wifi disconnect, it connects to LTE, then the phone rings. When I hang up, WiFi will reconnect.
After some more research, I think Tasker is causing this problem. I have it setup to connect to wifi when I get home. If I disable this profile, wifi stays on during the call. If I turn on this profile, wifi will disconnect and then reconnect when the call is done.
Hi!
I have some problems with WIFI on my tablet, it disconnects randomly from my WIFI network quite often, at home this isn't too much of a problem as the device reconnects itself in a few, but then I traveling with trains, the device disconnects as soon as I stop browsing the web for a few minutes, and then fails to reconnect itself, turning WIFI on and off makes the device able to connect again but only for a few minutes, then the problem reappear.
I have already tried to disable powersaving mode, set WIFI to never sleep in WIFI options and turning off WIFI optimization too. Neither of these fixed my problems., factory reset didn't help me either, as this happens on trains too, I can't change the router settings either, is there anything else I can try???
I also send my device into Asus repair serviceservice 2 times, first time they did troubleshoot my battery charging (which was working flawless and I asked them to troubleshoot my WIFI not battery), second time they was troubleshooting my WIFI error, but screwed up the battery.
Third time they replaced the motherboard and after all this I'm still stuck with my broken WIFI.
Please help me
