whats the best wm6 rom which works well in vga mode??
Best WM6 ROM's for VGA...
The two best WM6 ROM's for VGA are Midget's V0.9 and Helmi's 1.1 , the newer ROM's don't support it... Have to change all the icons to VGA for them to be able to.
If someone shows me how to do that, I would be happy to edit the icons. what else needs to be done?

yeah i agree, image's too small and fuzzy, could be a skin or a theme of wm6, but the underlying OS is still wm5. it's too hard to tell from the picture
The image is quite small indeed. Nevertheless it is a matter of fact, that Crossbow for the Tornado platform exists. msmobiles.com had lots of pictures and a review about Crossbow on Tornado and Wizard (maybe a Beta oder RTM version), but Microsoft forced them to remove the complete review...

yeah id like to add Lefab and hikey as options too. but i dont believe i can adjust the poll once its been started.
I am myself now using the Lefab 6.1 version as my main ROM for me it is the fastest, fullest featured and most sorted ROM.
I only wish a 96dpi rom was as usable - because those highres screens are WAY better

Unfortunately it's only the pocketCM keyboard with a diamond skin, it's no way like diamond's sip.
surprising why no one has ported this yet!!!
Its just perfect for the large display uni to use in portrait mode imo!

One of the ROM cookers, Tomal if I remember well tried porting it once and it was too resource hungry (~10MB of RAM IIRC) so I don't think it's possible on 64MB Unis.
Anyone cooking wm6.5 128Mb RAM with manila.
Just sent main board off for RAM upgrade and wanted to install Manila.

Well i guess no one is cooking ... because manilla is 3d driven software so it's not gonna work in uni and it need too much ram say minimum of 70+mb so it's not gonna ... and only one that can work is manilla 2d..... and it's only being ported to QVGA... no one has ported to VGA yet... so don't expoect it....
You can use skins that looks like manila...
manila 2D (old version) work on VGA too .. i used on my 64MB with "ROMs for HTC Universal, by Cotulla" before some time.. engine for QVGA and VGA is same, but you need find VGA skin ..
this is possible if there is VGA skin for new manila .. or if old manila can work on WM6.5

Well there is a vga skin over here... still some bugs...

and 6.5 is ram eater so installing manila will make the device unsuable for 64mb user.. how ever might be worthy for 128mb one's...
I'm using a HS++ with manila look a like theme, it gives me more ram to play and some of the basic functionality of manila....
i'll upload some pics once i get home....

I was hoping somwone would build WM6.5 in any of the manila family and get rid of the stupid extra microsoft shell rubbish. Instead I have to install two things for the same job (Titanium and Manila) using extra ROM space.
