Repeating Notification Alarm - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro ROM Development

On some phones, when you get a text message, if you don't hear the initial notification it keeps beeping every minute or so. Is there any way to do this on the Universal in WM6?
Sometimes I don't realise I've received a message, or missed a call as I was away from my phone at the time. If it kept beeping or vibrating until I checked it, I wouldn't miss any

Try changing the following reg entry:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Reminders\AutoSnooze]
"AutoSnoozeMins"=dword:00000000

At the minute its set to 2. I should set it to 0?

Random, Late Vibrations

I using a S710 with Dr Gonzo's WM6.1 v1.1
I've set the Profile options as "Vibrate and sound" for messaging, emails, and Calls.
But whenever there's a missed call, the phone vibrates about 25-30 seconds after the missed call, multiple times.
Same goes with SMS, the sound notification comes first, then sometime later, the vibrations.
Sometimes it vibrates for no apparent reason, even after checking the missed calls list.
It's kinda irritating now. I've put off the vibration option for all except voice calls for now.
Is it fine after you put off the vibration?
I think its not the phone which gives the late vibrations, but the reminder script. it keeps notifying untill you check the missed calls.
You should remove the script notify.mscr from the startup. It will resolve your issue.
yes, its ok after vibration i turn1ed off,
I'll get rid of the script. Thanks !

Long alert sounds

This is something that has been bugging me for a while with Windows Mobile...
If I set an alert sound for New Text Messages for instance, and it's a long sound, then the whole thing gets played even if I open the text, or dismiss the notification. Most other phones shut up as soon as you perform some action. Is there any way to get WM to not play the whole alert sound if I've responded to the alert?

WM6 problems with alerts/notifications

I'm having a real bugger of a time managing with how my phone is behaving lately. It's a Sprint Mogul PPC-6800 (Titan) running WM6.
I'm not sure what's causing it, but here is what is happening. When a text message, missed call, or voicemail event comes in, I have it set to flash the light. There seems to be a delay of a few seconds from when the message is displayed to when the light actually starts flashing. If I dismiss the alert before the light starts flashing, the light will flash until the timeout in the notification configuration.
Also, lately.. it's been randomly playing the 'infbeg' and 'infend' wav files. It will start playing unsolicited, and play at random intervals. The only way I have found to stop this is to perform a soft reset.
What I'm looking for is this: Is there a debug program available that will log the system events.. what programs are triggering which notification alerts, etc. Also, is there a program that would reset all these alerts. Basically to act as the 'dismiss' button when it shows?
Thanks for your help!
i didn't get a reply... *bump*
if anybody has any ideas...

[Q] How can I change the vibration length for notifications?

I seriously tried everything, but I can't change the vibration length for notifications. The result is that for EVERY Email, SMS, Facebook message, you name it, I get a 3 second long vibration that is driving me nuts.
No matter what I do, the vibration length stays the same. I can set the intensity to lower, but the length stays the same. I defined my own vibration pattern as well, but that only works for calls, it does not work for everything else (=notifications). WHY is it so difficult to just set the vibration length to 0.5 seconds? This is the worst phone I have ever owned, honestly
Go setting ...under sound and notifications...there should be vibration intensity. If u hate vibration...personally just turn it off....i did mine..and save battery too.
Sent from my SM-N915G using XDA Free mobile app
Like I said, I don't want to change how strong the vibration is, I want to change how LONG it vibrates. Right now it vibrates for 3 full seconds for every goddamn notification. This is the worst and most annoying thing I have EVER experienced with a phone.
I need vibration in general so I notice when I get a new message etc. but I don't need my phone to vibrate 3 FULL seconds for every single text message, hangouts message, facebook comment etc. If I get several of these at once (e.g. 3 text messages in a row), then my phone keeps vibrating for 9 seconds!
So is this not possible at all, or am I having some weird bug? I can't believe anyone would use this phone like this, it literally vibrates for 3 full seconds for every stupid notification (like the 'basic call' notification setting, but it stays on that pattern even after I change it to 'knock knock' for example)

Restoring Messages Kills Vibration

Got a new phone. Restored my messages via Titanium Backup, and now instead of getting vibrations I'm getting beeps. It hasn't changed anything from "vibrate" to "play beep sound", things that are set to "vibrate" just have the beeps now.
I'm having the same issue on the old phone. I have no idea what caused it.
EDIT: Okay, cycling from ring to silent to vibrate a few times has got the vibration back, at least, but the beep is still there.
