what is the version of your ActiveSync(AS)?
did you delete the old AS partnership?
and...
you don't need to have a multiple thread asking question and help with the same problem my friend...
Download Active sync 4.2
That will solve your problem

already downloaded the activesync4.5
I already downloaded the activsync4.5 but seems to have problem using the port assigned. Already use the suggested port of Microsoft windows mobile but sitll won't work. You can see the device on my pc but when I use the activeSync it still says that it can connect.

the 2005 rom that people on this site use ONLY works on the himalaya devices
if it's that rom you have then you cant use it unless you have a himalaya
i keep trying to upgrade my xda lli but it dosent work! ive even tryed thing where you press dpad,off/on and reset button. i'v try'd everything it just doesent work can enyone help me?

HI to all. Need some help.
Tried to upgrade my ROM but every time there is an ERROR 260. I got the ROM upgrade from HTC website, followed all the instructions but still hang at the 3 colour screen and the error will appear after that. BTW I'm using Vista with Mobile Device Centre.

I think this may be caused by the fact you are using Vista.
So.....cannot use Vista?
from personal experience no, u can't upgrade rom using vista. i have vista home premium & i'm using vmware running win xp pro.
cari la vmware kalau nak update guna vista. mestila awak tahu mana nak cari software ciplak kan? hehehe (sorry for malay talk here)
Confirmed, MUST use XP to upgrade. Borrowed my brother's computer to do it. Now works perfectly.........looks like my plan to upgrade to HTC TyTN II is on hold.

I've upgraded my XDA II to Ather's Diamond. Unfortunately I am not able to sync. Same with Wm2005 roms. I had to downgrade back to wm2003 to actively use activesync. Help pls.

i tried most of all rom of windows 6.5 for my o2 xda orbit 2 bt i cant updat it plz solve my prob....

look in my rom thread under steps...think you did not flash Hard Spl before

run on xp...and also on vista or win 7...
It can be that you must install for xp....active sysnc....or in win 7 or vista...mobile device center before
update errors....
hey i had tried your rom also bt i cant update i found error 262 or 276....
means wat to soft reset i hv done it but prob. is nt solved..plz help
send me detail step by step....
at first check your usb and the cable...maybe other pc and cable....
2. install mobile device center (active sync)
3.flash hard spl
4. flash original rom +Hard reset
5. flash my rom +Hard Reset
and all of my or other coocker´s rom´s do not have those errors...i tried the most rom´s here and all flash fine
