G1 secret dialer codes

Anybody knows secret dialer codes for g1. Like *06# gives IMEi any another code which provides phone's information.

This codes are neither secret, nor specific to the G1. They are pretty standard.

Yeah, nothing special but:
#646# - minutes
#676# - texts
Not sure about anything else.

*#*#info#*#* - Phone & Battery Info - Also Lock to 3g or 2g, APN & SMS Message Center Numbers
You can also use anycut to make a link for field test mode.

#225# - Check how much you owe on your phone bill.

#???# codes are OPERATOR SPECIFIC CODES!
Not tied to the phone....

Below are the ones I'm aware of, from this post. I created a starred T-Mobile contact and just added them all under there so I can pretty quickly check whatever I need w/a few presses.

#MIN# - Minutes Left

I used to know them all by heart, until I discovered Anycut. Just get Anycut, it will create a shortcut on your desktop for ANY "code" you can enter into your phone.

Voice Dialer Logging Enabled means that it will store the last 20 Voice Dials you made as a .log and .wav in /data/data/com.android.voicedialer/app_logdir.
The .log file contains the intents returned from the search as well as all possible matches.
The .wav has what the microphone recorded when you spoke.
Good stuff... kinda useless if you ask me...

use this code to make ur phone ring longer before it go to voice-mail:
[Step 1.] Enter *#61*11# and press Send/Talk on your phone.
[Step 2.] Write down the number your calls are currently forwarded to.
[Step 3.] This is your voicemail deposit number.
[Step 4.] Decide how long you want the phone to ring in 5 second intervals. The maximum time is 30 seconds. I have mine set at 25 seconds.
[Step 5.] Now enter **61*[number from step 2]*11*[number from step 3, use 2 digits]# and press Send/Talk.

[solved] Problem with Contacts and International Country Codes

So Ive been using my HTC Ozone (6.5 Standard, 3VO rom) for a while in israel, and the way the cellular network works is as follows:
country code is +972
the number that shows up on an incoming call is 052-555-5555.
The number that shows up on an incoming text is +972-52-555-5555.
The number that shows up on an outgoing call when dialing without the country code (aka 052-555-5555) is +972-052-555-5555.
All of these differences mean that if I have a number saved in the contact manager (in only one of the above forms), it isnt displayed 2/3rds of the time. If i send a text to ME(052-555-5555), the reply comes back from an unsaved number, in a new thread is +972-52-555-5555.
Is there a way for me to just save the base number (052-555-5555), and have the phone's contact manager realize that its the same number is the +92 equivalent? My current workround is saving all the forms of a number to a contact, but 1. its tedium to go through all my contacts and do this, and 2. you can only save so many numbers to a contact, which means im screwed if the contact has two different numbers.
I see all these fields in the "current country" setting, but I have no idea what they mean, or if that is even the solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey , i got the same problem on my Omnia 2 with windows mobile version 6.5
The local incoming call won't show the country code, and sms does the opposite way.

i just resolved my problem. hope this way can help you as well.
get a regedit software on your windows mobile phone.
go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Phone
under it, you should able to see a key name "CallIdMatch", change the value to maybe 8 or 9, which means it will match the last 8 or 9 numbers for each incoming call or sms. (use decimal) after the changing, reboot your phone.

Displaying A Selected Contact In Call Log When Multiple Contacts Share Same Number

The following Google Contacts are stored in an Android Phone for ACME Corporation:
Amy Appleseed
John Doe
Pedro Valdez
Amy, John and Pedro all share a work telephone number.
I'm working with Pedro on a project and would like to track the dates and times of our phone conversations using the call log on my Android phone.
However, even though Pedro is manually selected from the contact list, Amy Appleseed appears as the called party because she is the first contact for ACME Corporation, which are listed alphabetically.
This behavior can be consistently duplicated on a Motorola Milestone X2 (Droid X2) running 2.3.6 stock but this has been an issue on every Android phone I have ever owned from Android 2.1 to 2.3.6.
Is there any way that I can call Pedro AND have his name appear in my Call Log using Android?

I think that's just the way it works. i.e. the call log program is unaware of how the call was made--it just knows which number was dialed and at what time and resorts to a reverse look up to get the name. You can sort of see this from the way the numbers pop up...and then the names start filing in. Also, after adding a new contact for a number, the contact name magically appears in the call log.
I know its a hack, but what if you try variations on the number for your contacts with the same phone number? For example:
123-123-1234
123-1234
+1-123-123-1234
1-123-123-1234
Depending on your phone company, these may all dial the same phone number (but, you'll want to confirm that they won't charge you long distance for using 11 digits to dial a local number). With luck, they may fool Android into thinking that they're different phone numbers.
As for incoming calls, though, you may want to make a contact for just the company with a number that matches whatever your call display pops up when either person calls. There's no way it'll know who's on the other end if the call display is the same across your colleagues.

Thanks for the response. The reverse lookup of the first contact listed for a number is understandable for an incoming call, but I would think there should be a way where dialing outbound from a manually selected contact would write the selected contact name to the Call Log.
Is this something that could be accomplished with a third party app? Perhaps a dialer with a contact look-up that rewrites the call log to reflect the selected contact (or keep a call log of its own)?
I'd appreciate the input of a developer or anyone with experience with the OS to suggest whether this can be accomplished programmatically...

Android Advice: Shared Home Phone Numbers
One of the things that has always annoyed me with cell phones is that there is no good way to handle multiple people having the same home phone number. Android’s contact manager allows multiple contacts to share the same number (because the database is not indexed by phone number, like on many older phones). This still wasn’t perfect for me, however. When a phone number shared by multiple contacts calls, the first match (sorted alphabetically A-Z) is displayed on the caller ID screen and in the call log. Fortunately, this consistency means we can manipulate the system to display a custom name. The following steps illustrate the technique:
1. Lets say we have a theoretical family: John and Jane Smith. They each have a cell phone, but live together and therefore share a home phone number. They each are added in Android with their mobile number as their primary number, and their home number as their secondary number. Both can be called at either their home or mobile number from the contact list. When a phone call is recieved from their home number, Jane Smith is displayed in the caller id and call logs because she is first alphabetically.
2. For this technique to work cleanly (without any additional clutter), you must have your Android contact manager set only to display “My Contacts” (this settings is under Contacts > Menu > Display Group > My Contacts)
3. Log into Gmail and switch the contacts view
4. Create a new group to put these combined “metacontacts” (I called the group “Metacontacts”)
5. Force your G1 to synchronize contacts (Home Screen > Menu > Settings > Data synchronization > Uncheck and then recheck “Contacts”)
6. Tell your G1 to synchronize this new “Metacontact” group (Contacts > Menu > Edit sync groups > Check “Metacontacts”)
7. On your Gmail Contact Manager, in the “Metacontact” group, press the new contact button (person with a +)
8. Enter the name you want to display when the number calls (ex: “The Smith Family” or “John and Jane Smith”)
9. Add some form of symbol in front of the contact’s name to cause it to be first alphabetically. I used a period because it takes up the least space, and then put a period at the end as well for symmetry ( .The Smith Family. )
10. Add the shared home phone number to this new contact
11. Press the save button
12. Press the “Groups” button and then click “Remove from… My Contacts”. This will prevent the contact from showing up in Android’s contact list, but because we chose to synchronize the “Metacontacts” group, it will still be in Android’s database when it does a caller ID lookup.
13. Repeat steps 7-12 for each custom home phone number contact
14. Force your G1 to synchronize contacts again (Home Screen > Menu > Settings > Data synchronization > Uncheck and then recheck “Contacts”)
15. The new custom contact name will now show up in the call logs and when the number calls, but each individual contact (ex: John and Jane) will still have the number stored, so you can call their home number by clicking their name in contacts.
It works almost perfectly for me, but there are few caveats to this method that you should be aware of:
Every time you change the combined contact (“metacontact”), it automatically readded to the “My Contacts” group and you will have to remove it
The combined contact (“metacontact”) will have the symbol you chose (in my case, a period) in front of their name, so if this bothers you, this isn’t the technique for you

"But how can I update my SMSC number?"
Well, for this you have to do a little step before you can do that. The number has to be converted into the PDU format. To do that go to this page: http://www.twit88.com/home/utility/sms-pdu-encode-decode and look for "String sms message". There is a little editbox which says: "SMSC +019000001". Enter your own SMSC number here and klick on "Convert" below. The big textbox "Hexadecimal PDU Message" will update and will show something similar like this:

Plus im on sprint, and when i go into the phone to update the SMSC number i keep getting update error.

Thank you so much i was pulling my hair out over this. I had the message center number but had no idea about the PDU conversion. It's also worth noting that you can check the PDU is correct by pasting the first 16 characters into "Hexadecimal PDU message"(its ABOVE the smsc box) and pressing convert. It will convert it back and you should see your message centre number you entered down in the SMSC box in the "Readable PDU message" box. If not, you've copied the wrong digits. It's Best to copy ONLY the first 16 chars as you are checking only your SMSC.

Try using GoSMS. Go to Settings > Advanced > Enable customized SMSC number and put your carrier's SMSC number in. Did the trick for me and it even sticks after uninstalling GoSMS!

I got the issue fixed.
The SMSC code is to be entered in the PDU encoder as + Country Code & SMSC number e.g. +91991xxxxxxx in the box under header "String sms message". Select 7bit "Alphabet size". Remove the text message . Thereafter hit "Submit" button. The hexadecimal PDU message created will be something like "AT+CMGW=8
0791198922700800110000910000AA00".
Use first (from left) eleven (11) digits from this code and enter in the phone.

All of these advice on smsc is wrong. All you do, is enter the damn smsc number in quotes, PDU is not necessary at all.

Dude near 2 hours on the phone with str8 talk and countless days past since I've searched n searched... I would lick your nut sack if I didn't like ***** so much...my comment will probably be deleted. But in any case to ANYONE THAT CANT USE THE *#*#4636#*#* OR THAT DOESNT HAVE THE MESSGAE CENTER NUMBER IN THEIR SETTINGS IN THE MESSAGE APP THEN FEAR NOT BC ITS IN your network mode settings I tried several codes none took me there. So I download force LTE from the play store or anyone of them will do that I've used... and that big ass SMSC that says updated refresh well that's it it's right there. And I'm supposed to know alot about phones and computers but this gave me nightmares....anyways thank you to the o.p. who probably won't see this anyways but your method needs updated a tad. With a 3rd option to find that setting. Jus download an app for LTE switching from Google or apkpure or wherever. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I cant find where to post this, this website changed so much, but it was on my new s22 ultra so....
I got a call from "NONE" the 'number' beneath it was "NN".
No voice on the other side, and I attempted to called back. Then my phone popped up a little message near the bottom of the screen... "USSD Code Running."
It kinda freaked me out. What does that mean?

Do a Google search on "USSD Code Running". A lot of info comes up.

I've seen this kind of behavior when I've had the phone in my front pocket, and I happened to be sweating. The sweat carried the electrical signals in my skin through the pocket liner (I'm no scientist, just my running theory) to the screen and thus, randomly unleashing all sorts of weird mayhem and shenanigans.
It's either that or gremlins.........

For whatever reason it's probably just the way that phone responds to some unknown numbers with no caller ID. I block unknown numbers, try that.

Noticed that Samsung added a feature in Samsung Messaging that allows users to block e-mail messages.

It is mostly likely a SPAM caller. There are automatic dialing apps that can either spoof a number, or completely hide the number, which makes it difficult to block.
I'm have Verizon and it has a Call Filter app. Check with your provider if it has a call filter app. You can also find third party call filtering apps.
Unfortunately, dealing with SPAM and scam calls is a game of Wack-a-mole.

Yeah...don't call those kinds of numbers back. If something like that comes up, or you get a blocked number. Let it go to voicemail. If they leave a voicemail, fine. If not, don't call it back.
It is possible someone was trying to run a Smishing scam on you. With the aim to hijack your SIM and take over your phone service account. Depending on your carrier, the USSD code could trigger your device to do something you don't want it to do.

The mobile Phone number of your simcard
Has now call forwarding active to the Hackers Server (ussd MUST bei activated by the victim/target. Hacker need the victim to call a 10 Digits number that will Route to His Server)
Its a curently Well known Hack ... (Thus Person was smart enough to hide His 10 Digits number ... Well played good trap)
What the attacker wants... example :
Get into all your Accounts that are secured with YOUR PHONE NUMBER
...WhatsApp Google ... An E-Mail Account ? Etc etc
So...
I dont believe IT was random Attack.
Someone who know how or someone who ordered this

Maybe the simcard still use [email protected] browser. (A Browser placed inside your simcard)
Get rid of such a simcard too. Better Sirius lee
Change ur simcard Phone number for ur savety.
But
do it by EVEN changing the mobile Network Provider. (Best in Case If u have an old jackable simcard)
Sad fact : If the Hacker has enough informations from your simcard u need to Change the Provider. Because ... Your Provider maybe gives u a Brand new simcard ... With a new number that u ordered (the Service to Change Phone number to a new one) ... But ... The new number ist the only Thing what Changed all other leaked informations will stay the same as an act of keeping your customer number in the customer Care systems.
U need new customer number or Change the Provider + new number
My Tip: Use a Landphone number as a WhatsApp number ^^ need to recieve calls to activate the new WhatsApp Account so No Premium SMS Hack possible.... its More save
And ... U can start new the new start is : never leak ur simcards original mobile Phone number. Not in those days. Use the original simcard Phone number to Order pizza or a taxi. Give IT to No one and u dont need to Clean everything... Like u need to do NOW

Jupp thats so obvious ... The trap was better than call the target and please the Person to dial the number that activates the call forwarding Code that waits on a Server
Sim jacking needs the [email protected] Browser in the simcard. Needs to be an old one. Network Provider dont sell new regular simcards with the [email protected]
And dave wouldnt know that an invisible SMS with Codes reached his SMS Inbox :/
No need to call him in that case ... Just send the right prepared SMS and Game over
