SHOUTCAST
nuno.ripper,
I was looking for a app that would work to listen to shoutcast.com streaming radio. gsplayer 2.xx works great on the trinity. After installing the .cab file I enabled all associations and used the internet explorer and was able to open shoutcast.com links. This application is open source and free. It can work on PPC 2003 to WM5 and WM6

Hope that helps
Updated - Changed over to tcpmp 0.72RC1 - Also look at the additional plugin for mp4 and ac3.
Running WM6 AX3L_OS_v3.1.2_LITE_fixed
You can use saved .asp files as links. And it has a background mode.
I switched over to just one app to play streaming radio and movies. I wanted to watch a few films while on a long plane trip. (Also have second battery and eternal power supply for a 12 hour flight)

Streaming real video over WM 6.5

Alright, so I've been searching for a solution to my problem for about a week and couldn't find a solution. I looked everywhere including here, of course, and no luck. So I had to choice but to start a new thread.
I used to have the Tilt (TyTn II) which had the build-in real player (not real one player) and I was able to stream rtsp .rm video over wi-fi without any problems.
Now I upgraded to the Tilt 2 (WM 6.5) and I can't find the original real player which was on my Tilt. I tried Real One player that's available on Real's website which didn't work either.
I tried to install the CV media package (I think that's what it's called) by Cingular which is supposed to have real player with it but it wouldn't open on my phone.
I also tried the HTC streaming program but that doesn't the .rm protocol.
So does anyone know of a way to stream rtsp real media content on WM 6.5 phones?
I appreciate it and thanks in advance.
anyone?????
anyoneeeeee

Real Media RTSP support for WM6.5

I've been searching for this for about a month and couldn't find anything online and would hope that someone can help me.
I'm currently using HTC Touch Pro 2 running WM 6.5 and I need to stream live RTSP .rm streaming.
HTC streaming media does NOT support .rm streaming because every time I try to connect it tell me "Media file type not supported."
I've already tried RealOne Player from Real Player website and for some reason it never connects and times out.
I've also tried different builts of HTC streaming media and none worked.
Can someone please point me to something that works?
Thanks in advance!
anyone????
Help plz..

Streaming from PC about home network

Hi,
I want have access with my vox (WM6.5 from FB) to my notebook via WLAN and network to get files or listen music (e.g. streaming mp3s with TCPMP). Is there a way to realize ?
After short google investigation I found Resco Explorer for PPC to get access to files on notebook. But smartphone version hasn't that feature.
Any idea?
Regards Odiad
you could try to stream music and videos with vlc player.
if tcmp doesn't work, maybe HTC Streaming Media Player will.
Hi Klownk,
thanks for the hint. If I am try to use HTC streaming..... and I go to "Connect" I have to fill an adress. Can you support me how to fill in:
Example:
Notebook name (in windows): Notebook
IP in private network: 192.168.1.105
Music is in: C:\Music\....... (many subfolders with music files /mp3/WMA)
Networkname (SSID): Odiadnetz
So how to fill in into adressbar of HTC-Tool ? And do I have to fill in every path of each song ? Or is there a way to browse in my music folder structure?
Or can I use the tool only for streaming in www ?
Thanks in advance
Odiad
Conduits PocketPlayer can receive (and even send!) streams. It detects available servers via UPNP. You need to have a mediaserver installed on the PC. I did this once to see if it works (it does) but I don't remember which mediaserver performed best. See http://www.conduits.com/community/forum_topics.asp?FID=19
