For those not familiar with it - Opera Mini is a Java based free version of Opera browser for PPC and other phones that can support Java applets.
I wanted to try it, but fortunately was so board at the time I read the license agreement: (displayed automatically first time you try to go to a web address)

On the left is the version 3 EULA and on the right is version 4 beta (the latest).
As you can see if you use the browser it will send your phone number, model and all your browsing history cookies and even the cache back to Opera ASA server.
So basically they can know who you are and what you are doing on the internet at all times.
The biggest problem and the part that really annoyed me about all this was the fact that instead of visibly warning users that the price for this "free" software is the violation of their privacy, they hid this little detail behind 3 or 4 screens of the usual legal chatter which most people wouldn't bother to read (and those for whom English is not the native language might have difficulty to understand).
The 'accept' button in version 3 is on the top (and you would have to scroll back to it if you read the thing) so it seems to me that they are encouraging you to just click through without reading.
Also I could not find this license on their site. It is only visible once you installed and configured the software so it is possible they already collected your phone number at this time.
Finally, the version 4 EULA is a bit ambiguous. It just says that the app collects the info to help with debugging and such but version 3 states clearly that it is sent to their server.
Any thoughts welcome...
'UNINSTALLED'
Thanks for the info, thats pretty worrying

Today Opera released third beta version of their browser - Opera Mobile 10. One of the new features added in this release is smartphone support, finally!
You can download it here: Link (remember to choose "Keypad phones" option)

Its far less than perfect.
Stability is inferior to ie mobile in some cases.
Flash doesn't work on WM standard.
Zoom controls are non-existant.
But it renders fast (not as fast as skyfire though) and here is the big one -
Is the first browser that I know of on the smartphone platform (native, mini doesn't count) that has tabbed browsing...
The default font size is too small.
To rectify follow these steps:
1) type about:config in the address bar in a tab
2) Navigate down to user prefs and click
3) Search for minimum font size. This was 0 on my phone (a samsung Jack)
4) Change it to something between 10-15. I use 13
Now you should be able to leave zoom at 100% (thus preserving the rendering accuracy) and still be able to read text.
Note that this seems to work for me and the sites I frequent. It's easy to mess up opera in about:config and that you might want a different combo of zoom level and minimum font size.
Cheers
Frooze my Phone tonight. lol pretty much right off the bat.
needs adobe flash on it
Nice apps, thanks
Hey guys n girls,
Not sure if all of you use Chrome or not, but I'd say that XDA would have a fair amount of Chrome users here, wouldn't you say?
If anywhere on the web was going to have Chrome users it would be XDA. If you are a hater of Chrome or use another browser then please save the hate posts this is not a thread for you.
Ok. If all of you have not noticed already there most of the other browsers have already shifted to x64 (64bit) configurations. This means some pluses and minuses as far as performance and security etc. (excuse the double pun) Please Google to bring your self up to speed if you are not already familiar. InternetExploder (IE) is already 64bit, And Mozilla is already 64bit (unsupported apparently?) anyway I use neither of those browsers, and my much favoured browser Chrome is lagging behind in this race. Not that IE can account for shear ball taring performance on it's good days....so let's face it. Those that are Chrome users I am certain you're not willing to change just because Chrome isn't 64bit right?
Wana do something about it?
Here is how:

Issue 8606: 64 bit chrome on Windows
it will then look like this
Issue 8606: 64 bit chrome on Windows
When this gets upvoted as a priority then more focus will be put on to building a 64bit version for Windows. I believe there is one developer supported edition of 64bit for debian linux only and you are required to load only Mozilla plugins.

Sv: Office Suite Comparisons
I want to add one, the CloudOn app! As close as a full office (well, at least Word, Excel and PPT) as you can get with nearly all functions for free. It looks just like Office 2010, and you get a row with all the Ctrl and other PC shortcut buttons that works like Ctrl + D for subscript or superscript etc, Ctrl B for bold text etc.
There is some problems however, that makes it not just as great as it sounds at first. It lags sometimes and as far as I can tell there are only landscape mode avaliable. But it's really worth a try, and if you are an advanced user you'll be happy to see that even equations typed in is showing and working just like the PC version. Text and maybe images is something almost any .doc editor can handle but everything else usually becomes one big mess. With this one though, I find every component and the alignments very close to MS Office.
So, try CloudOn and see how it works for you compared to the above mentioned office apps is my advice

The Application is for the search of the site position in the most popular search systems.
The search is realised in the real time.
Get external links, Google PR, Yandex tIC, indexed pages.
In the present time there are 6 systems of search:
Google
Bing
Aol
Yandex
Baidu
YahooJp
An advantage of the application is in spreading across the platform of the android.
Not so every person has the possibility of being near a computer but a mobile phone is always in the hand.
Without registration. The app is spread by free of charge (but it has not so big restrictions).
In the future it will be realized :
- Support of available regions for search systems
- Automatic verification
- Adding the search systems

Not a great explanation of the data section.
Q: In the "Data" does not show one or more parameters.
A: After the first request, you must wait a few minutes and then refresh the data again. It takes time to update the data.
If the next request they will not, then they do not exist in the system.
