Sms icon on desktop, help

hey, im not se good to english so hope you understand me.
I want at icon on me desktop, where i click, and it will go into at new sms.
where can i find the .exe file i me touch ?

Okay, so if i got that right, you want a shortcut to launch SMS editor, without going trough your inbox, just like on most standard cell phones?
If that is the case, you'll need to create a new shortcut. The best way to do it is to use a file explorer allowing to create shortcuts, but thye easiest is to create a new text file on your computer, neme it something like SMS.txt, open it with your notepad or whatever text editor you use, and paste the following into it:

now save the file, transfer it somewhere to the device ("/windows/start menu/programs" might be a good place) and change its name to SMS.lnk (or whatever you wish, just make sure that the extension is .lnk).
Now about adding it to the "desktop" - it depends on what plugins you use, but if you have a configurable launcher, and from what i understand, you use the Touch, which has a launcher by default, you need to add the shortcut you created to the launcher, just like you add any other program to it (as far as i know in touch it's just a matter of clicking an empty field in the launcher and navigating to the shortcut you created).

Need to Call Some Links/Programmes..Can you Help?

I am putting together a theme for WAD2 in WVGA but have a need to call the following:
1. The SMS page when the SMS counter is pressed. All I can find is the Messaging.lnk
2. The email page when the email counter is pressed. Again, all I can find is the Messaging.lnk
3. Is there a tool which can be linked which directly calls the backlight just like the SPB Mobile Shell backlight?
4. The sounds page on TF3D 15-tab is very useful, is there a way of calling something similar from outside TF3D?

try this:
For inbox, try using:
tmail.exe -service "SMS"
It should open your inbox. At least it works for me.
To directly open the new sms window type:
tmail.exe -to "<number>" -body "hello" -service "SMS"
You can remove the parameters you don't need.
For email, replace "SMS" to "ActiveSync"

4. you can't really CALL something which isn't on TF3D... unfortunately. what exactly do you want to implement?

oh, about the number 3,. find in the file explorer file named "backlight.exe" then long press it, copy,.
go to your desired direction for placing the shortcut, the long press again, then "paste shortcut",.
There you will have a shortcut to backlight setting,.

Thanks. All worked a treat. The backlight tool I was talking about is icon which calls up series of 5 boxes to control the backlight in the current power setting. This means rather than trying to use a slider, you can click one of 5 icons to get 20% gradation.
What I would like is an easy way of adjusting the sound profiles. I have found one within WAD but the box doesn't seem to scale to WVGA very well and this means some scrolling is required. What I am looking for is a nice easy finger friendly sound profile inut method.

Shortcut to "New SMS"?

Hi!
First post here.
I don't want the sms-functionality of TF3D active due to different reasons (prying eyes for example).
Is it possible to do: "create new sms" when i hold down the left soft-key?
Perhaps a ".exe" file for such a feature exists?
Other shortcuts perhaps?

Get a new bf/gf
- sorry for OT, I don't know of any shortcuts.

soundie, I used HDTweak to change the left soft-key option from 'Phone' to 'New SMS', so now I can start a new SMS with a single tap from the home screen.

Here's my solution:

44#\Windows\tmail.exe -service "SMS" -to ""
rename this file to New SMS.lnk (i.e. change the extension to .lnk)
Copy this link file to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs
Select the New SMS "application" to one of your buttons in Settings>Personal>Buttons.

Check out the start menu customisation link in my signature. Obviously you might not want to use those icons but hopefully it will help you identify how to change an icon.
By the way, I am just about to release a new icon set for start menu and ROM icons customisation so will notify you about that.

Thanx but your customization is too complex (i'm afraid of files named DLL) & its for folders...
i found solution, for program links & png icons need to set in registry
HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\PROGRAM NAME.lnk\Icon:\windows\ICON NAME.png

When Im in explorer of my vm6.1 ppc a have an option to "send shortcut to programs" when I mark a program.
I´ll like to have that function, but I whuld also be able to have "send shortcut to memorycard" or "games folder" or just a folder of my choice.
I belive that I have seen an app that let me do exatlly that, but I cant find It, and when I search for "send shortcut to" I just get matches of "send shortcut to programs" threds...
Please help!

Thats the road I walk now,but like this: Highlight a file --> Copy --> Navigate to the folder were I want the shortcut --> paste Shortcut.
I want something more easy. something like this: Highlight a file --> Send shortcut to "Games".
hope you can help.

If you change the total commander's window view to dual window or virtual dual window mode, and use the 'ctrl' button to select multiple files, it will be much easier to create mass shortcuts.

owner is missing

anyone help me .owner is missing i realy need that for some Resco program.thank's

Go to the People (contacts) app. There's an entry called 'me' at the top of the contacts list; it's like your personal business card. Fill in your details here and they're automatically used for the legacy 'owner info'.
Trust me, I've registered Resco Explorer perfectly fine this way.
There's a registry fix somewhere to get the old owner info screen back but, as you can see, you don't need it.

I've put the owner details in my HD2. Now the lock screen won't unlock the slider moves all the way over and stays there

Same thing happened to me. You have to go to "Settings" - then "Menu" at the bottom right & choose "More" - "Private" --> "Owner info" --> "Alternatives" & uncheck the Identityinformation-box (dunno what it's called in english, running swedish menues on my phone).

Method 1 :
Fire up a Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Owner and remove the redirect.
(You can also remove redirects from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Buttons and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Input).
Method 2 :
Fire up a Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Owner and create a new DWord called “Hide” (without the quotes)
and set its value to 0. If you already have this, change the value from 1 to 0. Soft reset.
Method 3 :
If you don’t like playing with the Registry Keys
1.Go into Today settings, Items tab
2.Enable “Owner Info” while disabling others and tap OK.
3.Enter the Owner Info via the Today screen.
4.After you’re done, adjust back your Today settings accordingly.
