I was wondering how to disable displaying the program name on the taskbar - is there a registry tweak for this?
It's just a cosmetic thing, i would rather see the taskbar clean with just the icons and time instead of having the current running program's name on it.
Any solution?
The closest I've come is by using something like Tweaks2k2 to change the Start-bar font color. So using something like Vicott's great UI Tweaker app, I change my top/bottom bars to all black, then change the font-color to black too.
That will "hide" the program title but, as a side effect it also changes the Time font color. Your signal bars, data connection, battery are untouched though.
It's simple, elegant and my choice for doing things, but like I said you loose the clock. Also, matching the exact colors to the top/bottom bars can be tedious if you don't know their exact color codes, if you do you're all set.

It looks really nice, the way you have done your layout - I like it a lot. I tried changing the colour of the text, but the thing is, I don't wanna loose the WM6 bars - and I am not able to find the matching colour while keeping the "glass" look. But thanks for the advice
If you don't want to lose the clock, you can use analogic clock instead of digital clock (long click over clock to change it)

Goes behind an overlaid clock to give an approximation of the second hand. Both files are tuned to take 1second per "tick". Note, on the second one, there are two flashes then a pause, like a heart, which makes the second so it is a bit hard to catch the rhythm at first (yeah I should redo that one prolly). Sofar the only program that really likes them is S2U2.
Very simple, nothing special. Not perfectly symmetrical, I just drew it by hand in GIMP with the fuzzy brush tool. Were much sharper / smoother but optimized for much smaller file size. Anywho, if anyone else was looking for a Gif Secondhand for an overlaid clock and can stand my sense of style (looks good in S2u2 IMO), here yah go.

I am not "happy" with the clock hands, but I'm at work and the only program I have to work with is GIMP. Maybe I can make them look better in photoshop.

-Yes I know they spin in reverse, I have a strange sense of aesthetics
man, you must have been bored
nice though,kinda hypnotising
If you are using S2U2 you can use the Analog clock option and use drop this file in place of the regular clock face to center the hands on the animation. I didn't even think about it when I was making it but apparently the small dots and the corner dots make the hours of a clock lol. I need to make some better hands for this but I will have to do that tommorow when I have time.
I'm havin fun lol piddling with this stuff.

I think there may be something like this for windows phones? Anyway, would really like a little analog clock in the status bar instead of the digital readout. It's actually nice to know the time when surfing the web, tweeting, etc. but the digital clock is out of place with a circle status bar icon theme. I've attached a picture to help with the visual.
Anybody interested in making this I would be willing to donate my time and/or money in helping to make this possible. May involve making a million .png files, but I do not know. Would like to see if there is any other interest in this/if it's even a possibility (I have not seen anything). I think It would look pretty slick!

Agreed. That would look nice. I think it would take a bit of coding though. Over my head. Those round icons do look nice. Where did you get those from?
the Ultimate Online Theming Kitchen. just google it, it should come up as the first hit. Pretty awesome kitchen and super easy to use.
something like this should be possible:
lower the clock font, and put those brackets on the titlebar background. I would change the batt icon too. standard measure would be easiest. you still have exact percentage on desktop.
that does look pretty good, thanks for putting that together. Deff gonna mod the batt like that.
My request still stands though, I want a 2 hands turning circles in the top right corner!
Hello again.
I would like to recommend You yet another functionality that comes from alarm clock that I've developed. This time it is simple digital clock widget.

The goal was to make neat widget that don't require unnecessary permissions , has small size (app and ram) and does what is says - displays time on digital clock .
In version 1.2:
When screen got unlocked there was widget time value update lag.
Time value on widget didn't update when user changed phone time.
Just installed it, looks good! Two things
1) Pressing the time should take you directly to the alarm, in my opinion at least
2) There is a small glitch with the graphics on my LG P500, check out the small black lines on the left and right sides at them bottom of the widget:
Thanks for notices. I will prepare new graphics.
I have added things that Jens Christensen mentioned (v1.3). Thanks .
Small fixes&improvements in 1.4:
Time value on widget didn't update when user changed phone time backward or changed time zone.
Refresh improvements for Android >2.1.x.
I don't like widgets in this style, but I can suggest you to make a transparent and a grey version, and post the all the changes on each version on second post, it's better to see.

Well... if it is already a hardware problem,, human can only modified the hardware itself. Developers are also human, so, buy new screen maybe...?
By the way, maybe you can also try to change your appearance from background folder, and other color of background with a dark color (Grey, Black, etc). Since we can't do any hack to modified your screen.

There are many ways.. Just search it how to modify your background (for major appearance)..
But remember it won't change the fact that your screen still has that yellow stain. this way is only meant to hide yellow stain visible when you look your tab..
ok ill do it tomorrow when ill have the tab with me
thank U allot ! its really fix it
thanks
Hello again guys, another weird issue with my new Huawei P30. So I had changed my font to the Huawei font that comes with the phone. Its a nice font. Was using it for a while without issues. I went to the Themes app and downloaded new fonts to try out. I didn't like them much so I tried going back to the one I was using before. But then I noticed that the font has become much thinner. Its like its using the Thin or Light weight of the font. The first time this happened I was so annoyed that I reset the phone (was new and didn't have loads of data on it). But I completely forgot about that encounter and I did it again now and the font is very thin. Take a look at the screenshots of before and after below (ignore the conversation, )

As you can see the font is much thinner. The weird thing is, after this, all the fonts become much thinner. The only way to get normal weight font is to use the system default font. Does anybody have a explanation/solution to this?
Thanks,
Is it thin everywhere system wide or just in that messaging app?
It is thin system wide. Keyboard, settings, status bar... Everywhere!

I'm guessing you have rebooted the phone and applied the font again, I know theme developers recommend that to ensure it applies correctly
1. Apply Theme
2. Reboot
3. ReApply Theme
Or in your case, font
