IPL/SPL Upgrading for 8125 - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

I am using NBD v7.5 on my 8125 and am receiving a lot of missed calls, even after applying the mfrazz radio fix. Apparently after doing some reading, I need to upgrade the IPL/SPL from 2.25 to 3.08 and try a different radio rom. Does anyone know where I can download the IPL/SPL's and the different radio roms? Also, if anyone knows a good combo for the 8125 in the philadelphia area that would be helpful as well.

IPL/SPL doesnt help with missing calls just changing your radio...wither to 2.19 which is used most of the time for WM6 or my personal favorite 2.40 among others...

inconsistent voicemail notification...

Hi, I've on Cingular's network using Faria's WM6 ROM w/ radio ROM 02.25.11 . I don't always get my voicemail notification. Sometimes I will get a notification that says "5 new Voice messages" Why didn't I get notified about the 1st one??!
Has anyone else had this problem? Just today I got a message saying "6 New Voice Messages" and one was from today, the rest were from up to a week ago! help!

Yes, but he get's the messages that he lost the calls...I would blame the provider too for that. Just to be sure, read a little not to regret alot.

Anichillus has a point here. If one checks the HTC America site for the official 8125 download, it uses .... 2.25
This is one of the behaviours I've seen with radio's higher than 2.19 on WM6 with Cingular network. I'll have lots of missed calls and SMS, and then hours later, I'll get notification about VM (and sometimes no notification at all).
So switch to the Tmobile 2.19 UK radio (or some even say a 2.07 Radio) and you should find things like this don't happen (at least it seems to work just fine on my phone with every WM6 rom I've run (and I've run most of them)).
Ok, I just installed to the 2.19 UK radio... I'll tell you how it goes..

Radio having sporatic issues after update

I recently got my Cingular 8125 and quickly upgraded to WM6 using the Feria rom. Now my phone is acting very strangely. It's ringing very rarely and not notifying me of missed calls or new voicemail in those cases, however when I call my own phone from another, it always works.
I have no idea how to trouble shoot this issue. Is there a different radio rom I should be using?

Since you have an 8125 I assume you are on the Cingular network. For WM6, you should the T-Mobile 2.19 UK radio. You can find it on the ftp site under the Radio ROMs area.
I "downgraded" back to the official Cingular rom off HTC's site and everything is working fine again, so it's definitely an issue with that rom. I'll try putting Faria one again today specifically with the 2.19 radio and see what I find. Thanks!
If you read the custom ROM threads, you'll discover the cook recommends a certain radio ROM. Follow those recommedations.

yeah, you definitely have to use the UK 2.19 radio on Cingular with WM6.
I've got the same set up andI was missing calles, texts, and voicemails all day until the 2.19 radio. I tried others, but 2.19 was the only one that worked right.

Best radio rom for T-Mobile USA

What is the best radio rom to T-mobile USA which will eliminate missed and dropped calls and provide better call reception?
2.26.11 T-mbile radio rom
02.19.11 UK w/XDA Cingular WM6 Radio Fix2.cab
Additionally, can you flash either rom after installing TNT 5.0 Touchflo outright?
Can somebody post the roms for each radio listed above on this thread?
Thanks.....
I use 2.69.11. You can flash it after TNT5.0 as the flash only modifies the radio rom.
The installer is on the xda FTP site under /Wizard/Radio_Roms/ as "faria 02.69.11.rar"
radio rom question
technobluff--
You will probably need to experiment to see which radio will offer you the best reception, no-missed-calls, etc.
Yes, you can flash the radio rom of your choice after flashing your PPC with whatever flavor of WM6.
Mfrazzz has all of the radio roms that you asked for here in post #2

Is the Cingular 2.25.11 radio in the above post the same as the US T-Mo 2.25.11? I want to try at that 2.69 radio but want to make sure I can easily get back to my T-Mo 2.25.11 if start having problems with it.
I Did Try 2.69 But It Eating Your Battery Very Fast , 2.6.11 The Best For What I Seen , Been Using It For 6 Months
Anybody has the link to the 2.26 radio rom for tmobile?

I would think so too???
Why use the UK 2.19?
so we run the flash for radio, and then the radio fix?
Or other way around.

Not a bad radio but I experience missed calls and there are no notifications at all letting you know there were calls or messages or voicemail at all.
I reccomend T-Mobile 2.19.11 UK Radio with cingular radio fix 2 patch.
tmobile site
Thats for the entire rom. I was also looking for just the radio rom portion
Anybody running the 2.61 radio rom for Tmobile? What is your experience on missed calls and reception?

I'm tellin you, you want to use the 2.19.11 UK radio plus the cingular radio fix2. I have tried every radio mentioned in this thread in the pursuit of resolution to the missed call and bad reception problems and finally found it with the 2.19.11 radio.
I have attached the radio and the patch.
You should give it a try.(IMHO)
Instructions:
create new folder and extract both zips to that folder
Run RUU and phone will reboot itself
You now have 2.19.11 UK Radio
Now copy the attached cab to your device and install the cab.
Soft reset and youre good to go.
thank you for the straight up install answer.
I went ahead and did it.
I am soft resetting as we speak
how can I confirm that it worked?
Thnx!!

You will just notice a considerable spike in your reception where you already had decent reception and also places where you had no service before, you see that you have enough of a signal to make a phone call or send a text.
For example, when I am at home, I always have reception with the original radio, but with the 2.19.11 radio I have full signal in my basement.
When I would go to my girlfriend's friends house out in the middle of nowhere, I had no signal at all with any other radio, but with the 2.19.11 radio, I have 2 bars and can still call and text freely. It's funny because my girlfriend who also has t-mobile has no signal at all on her razr out there... lol

What's the best IPL/SPL/Radio for Cingular 8125?

What's the best IPL/SPL/Radio combination to be using on a G3 Cingular (AT&T) 8125 in America with a TNT.1933 rom?
Right Now I'm using IPL/SPL 3.08 and Radio 2.69.11.
it depends on your area.
Different radio roms will work better in different places.
Some people swear by 2.69, some don't. 2.19 is the most stable when it comes to radio roms. You might loose a little signal, but all of your calls will come in.
I have been using 2.69 for the past two days and missing calls like never before... back to 2.19 for me
I used to have a lot of missed call problems with different roms. Now I have been using radio 2.69 & Cingular radio fix2 with XM6rc5 with a great success. No missed call so far.
I'm using 3.08/3.08 and 2.69.11.. not having any issues.. I'm on cingular/att in the north san diego area.
3.08/3.08 and 2.19.11uk radio for me, been working pretty good. I don't run that cingular radio cab, whatever the hell its supposed to do. I tried it once, all it did was screwup my network tab, screw that, works fine without it.

i've been searchin for that but can't find workin links.

Best GSM for Rogers AT&T-Canada

Just wondering which GSM some of the Canadian members are using.
Some roms recommend the 2.19 UK- others the 2.71 with the cingular fix ??
I've done some searches - 2.47 or 2.69 - or the original 2.25 or 2.26 that was on the phone ??
Looking to improve outgoing sound quality - and am looking for some local feedback.
Thanks in advance
I had 2.69 with the cingular fix for a while and it worked fine. I'm using 2.71 now and have no complains about it. Call quality is good as also signal strength. I think both r good but i went with 2.71 coz its the latest.
