Help moving the time/appts/profile/sms-email around - HTC Vox

Anyone know how to move the text around so that you can place it where you want? (like have sms-email come up in the lower left while the time would be in the lower right, or something?)
I'm working on a new (awesome) skin that I started with prosper's "singularity". It looks NOTHING like singularity, but since I didn't know how to move the words around, I just picked one and used it as my template.

Whats next? (Suggestions)

Im just rambling, but over time ive seen these roms get better and better, and as far as suggestions go, Id LOVE to see something based around this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333763
something totally new for our wizards. If there could be a way to remove the bars from the top and bottom and make the left softkey be the start menu that would look slick, Im tired of the bars. It would also be neat if we could find a way to change the background color in the windows to match the home screen, all the touch and today stuff is dark grey and when Programs or Settings is open , its got a white background. I think its an Idea, it would be nice to see the bars gone from the op and bottom of the screen and incorporated like in the chinese plugin link i posted earlier. what do you guys think, yay or nay?

Gesture Input Method / Keyboard

I've done a cursory search looking for something like this but have been unable to find something...
Does anyone know if there is an app/keyboard replacement which has a screen much like the gesture search screen, allowing a person to draw individual letters and have them placed into the input box? Yes, it has shades of Graffiti (from the-company-which-shall-not-be-named), but would make typing while the unit is in a car dock, or just when standard keyboards are a pain in the ass, much easier.
I can't believe something doesn't already exist, so I turn to all of you.
Help me, XDA, you're my only hope.

Well, it would appear something kind of comes close ... graffiti or stroke keyboard work, tiny input area. But MobileWriter looks to be very much along the lines of what I had envisioned, but does anyone know of something with the same sized writing area which doesn't cost 5 bucks?
I'll get mobilewriter if nothing turns up, but hey...free is cheaper than 5
Thanks!
Graffiti has been ported to Android. Search for it in the Market.
The input box is still quite small. I'm thinking of something where one could essentially be inputting with one hand (using the thumb of the hand holding the device) without even needing to look at it, so a large forgiving graffiti area would be best. Thanks for the tip though.

Hey, that looks pretty awesome.
Couple of questions though.
1) Is that a widget your intending for the centre of each screen, or is it the only place you can put icons?
2) Is the gap at the top and bottom being reserved for anything?
3) The dock bar at the bottom is showing differant icons on each 'screen'. Intended? Are they screen independant or do differant screens show differant icons?
4) What design reason is that large 'apps' rectangle at the bottom? Is that being filling by something else?

s - note shapes: Why are somehollow but some "filled - in?"

Just playing around with S-note. The auto shape tool leaves some shapes as outlines but fills othersin. Anyone know the rhyme or reason? I've tried different pensbut get inconsistent results. Circles seem to fill - in more thanother shapes.I've attached an illustration.
I'd like to know too! I saw something in one of the tips about long pressing on an object to bring up options, but doesn't seem to work. Can't find out anywhere how to change whether a shape is filled or just outlined.
I think S-note will be an amazing tool once I learn how to use it, but Samsung doesn't give a lot of help with learning it all...
Mine is doing the same thing now but it wasn't before the update. Bug maybe?
Mine also just seems to be the circles that come out solid......

I have tried to replicate the issue but mine does not do this, UK model and we don't have any upgrades since launch, yet...
I tried to replicate, but none of mine filled in and couldn't find a way to make them fill in.

I'm confused. Which tool are you guys using? Like toenail_flicker, if I use shape match to hand draw a circle (left) it doesn't fill by itself and isn't selectable for me to modify or fill it on my own. If I insert a shape (right) it still doesn't fill by itself but it is selectable and I can fill it if I want to.

I used the shape match tool for all the shapes in the screenshot. I cannot select and edit any of them. Some of the circles filled in as disks, and some remained only as outlines.
As far as I can tell the only shape that will fill itself in is a circle and then only if you are using the 2nd brush from the left. Any circles made with that brush filled in.
I could not get any squares to fill in.
Very odd.

If you pick the eraser tool then long press on any shape then you can change and adjust it. This works when you insert a box or circle but not sure with shape match. Will play around and report back.

[Q] Font colour location

Being new to android, I am slowly finding out how to customise the look and feel to suit me.
One thing I can't figure out is how to change the font colour in the attached photo, I'm not sure what this bit is called. But light blue is a terrible colour and I would like to change it to white or black if possible.
Can anyone tell me where this might be done? The OS is 4.2.2.
Hard
I am guessing by the huge amounts of replies, that changing the colour of this item is incredibly difficult and beyond the capabilities of most of the people on this forum.
anyone?
I must be in the wrong forum.
Well you could have saved some time and looked at it yourself. It is set in the system ui apk and defined in framework res. Depending on your device. See that's the thing it really depends on the rom and device. It is different for each. Not to mention there are plenty of tuts that would have told you the same thing.
thanks
Thanks, you couldn't point out one of these tuts could you? If I knew what the thing I want to change is called too, that would be helpful.
found it
It's called statusbar, and now I know it's name I can search for info on it.
Google returns a lot of results for 'thingy' or 'wotsit' but rarely the results you are looking for.
Conclusion
The thingy in the original post is called the status bar.
It is defined in /system/app/SystemUI.apk
Editing it requires a piece of software called apktool.
I now have white text instead of pale blue.
Thanks to zelendel for the clue.
All is now good.
As a slight aside, I found both a status_bar.xml and a gemini_status_bar.xml in SystemUI.apk and my phone appears to be using the gemini one. What practical use this is I don't know. The phone is a U51GT-C4B if anyone cares, it's as big as will fit in your jacket pocket without requiring the services of a tailor and makes using rdesktop so much easier.
It doesn't make your fingers any less fat, but it makes typing easier because the letters are further apart.
