WM5 pim.vol work in WM6? - General Topics

Not talking about a ROM upgrade here. Has anyone bought a WM6 device and copied their pim.vol from their WM5 device to their WM6 and had it work?
Did M$ keep them compatible?
Thanks,

Nope
Actually it didn't... I didn't think about it too much coz I just syncd it back to my PC...

Wouldn't want to make things to be too easy for the dedicated followers I guess

it works but u hv to follow aku versions. aku 2 pim cannot b loaded to aku 3.xx and wm6
aku 3.xx pim work in wm6

Same goes for WM6.

WM6 Pro - Q9H

Do any of these cab files work for a q9h? Would love to go the pro route.
What cab files are you talking about?
Sorry. Is there a CAB that will allow me to put WM6 Pro on my q9h from AT&T? I had WM6 on a Treo 750 and like it much better than WM6.
You can't use cab to upgrade ROM.
By the way doesn't that phone come with WM6 preinstalled? I don't think I understand what are you asking for. Do you mean WM6 Proffesional edition? If yes, then that's not possible. WM6 Professional is former WM Pocket PC and WM6 Standart is former WM Smartphone.
That clears up my confusion. Thanks.

By far, the HP hx4700 (aka HTC Roadster) is the oldest machine running WM 6 ....
WM 2002 ---> WM 2003 ---> WM 2003 SE ---> WM 5 ---> WM 6.0

HTC Typhoon (also was 2003>2003SE>WM5>WM6)
The Motorola MPx200 probably also qualifies:
Smartphone 2002 > 2003 > WM5 > WM6
In fact, from WM5 onward there is insufficient ROM in the device itself so half of the OS has to go onto the memory card. Thankfully it takes full-size SD cards though...

As far as I know, the hx4700 cam with WM2003SE when it was released, not 2002 or 2003FE.

how to use balckberry with WM6 in Tero 750

who know ow to use balckberry with WM6 in Tero 750v......
this is a software limitation...Even with the blackberry, they don't support WM6. It would only run with WM5

back to original WM5

It is possible to return to the old original qtek9100 wm5 ??
i have exe file in italian of wm5 for qtek 9100 ....
thx for all
I think it's better to flash a Wizard WM5 Love Rom,
Or you could try WM5SE. They are all Windows Mobile 5, tweaked for finger functionality.
PS: long time since I've been here Missed the place
