you dont need that, you can just hold the end button on the home screen and it will disconnect. you can also disconnect from comm manager

well thats what the internet is for.. if you dont want it to use internet at all just remove the internet settings and it wont be able to connect at all

Worked great even in 6.5 until the incorporation of NETCF 3.5, then it failed. MoDaCo does not seem to be re-writing it to support the newer version but you should be fine on any of the older ROMS.

I installed Palringo but it will NOT uninstall properly, and now i receive an error each time I boot up my Hermes
I've never had the inclination to uninstall it, but that's a bit irritating.
I imagine the error is Palringo attempting to run at startup? In which case you can manually go into the start up items folder of your device and remove the shortcut.
The folder path is \Windows\StartUp
not been in here for ages, but hanging in the palringo groups is pretty good, what did I do before Palringo ?
dont use it but will check it out if its got anything to do wit my ppc.

PTT just seems to send a WAV. Can it not do proper PTT even Palringo to Palringo?
Palringo is the second most-used app on my phone (Opera Mini is #1). The recent update that adds the "chat" menu is a huge improvement, since I can actually have multiple IM windows open now. I don't like the fact that my connections are proxied through palringo servers, but it's still the best free IM app I've found.
BTW, even the JavaME version works on the Kaiser in JBED. Don't know why anyone with a Kaiser would want to use it, but it's still cool. I used the Samsung version.
I just joined the group, so I might bug some of you just to try out the PTT and other features I've never used before.

palringo wont stay open
ive been using palringo for a while now and i like it but recently its been acting odd. when i flash a new rom and i open palringo its all good. after it updates the software, palringo wont stay open. i open it and as fast as it opens, it closes.
anyone else?
is this really the main room? or is there a bigger one?

Hey, I gota annoying GPRS problem!
I changed the setting of "Application with automatically Internet-access" and "Application with automatically ptivate Network-access" in "Connections"-Menu to "corporate-Network" (I don't know how these menus are called in english version of windows mobile) but if I start e.g. youtube.com the TCPMPlayer launches and GPRS (O2-Internet) connects..
I never wanted to use the slow and ecpensive O2-GPRS and I will never start it myself.
How can I do a full disable of o2 Internet-Connections?
But I can't install WM6 after Hardreset without "branding" because TomTom is placed in extended rom.

What I did on mine was to edit the settings so that all the login name had a little "x" at the end. This way I can always use it if I really needed it. The GPRS never connects.

Cannot get my internet to launch through tf3d tab/icon. I can get it to launch through the start menu and programs. But just not through tf3d. Any suggestions?

No, I'm using aruppenthals RRE 5.8 rom. I just downloaded 5.8 version from his 4.5 version.

Yes, it works when I use it out of the start menu and programs, just not tf.
It will launch the favorites like YouTube and stuff, just not when I hit the big internet icon and "launch" from the right soft key.
firstly, you can change the linking using TF3D Config 0.6.7 (If i'm not mistaken)...
besides that, that fact that your browser works thru the start/programs has nothing to do with your tf3d. maybe everyone using that ROM have the same problem.. which means the chef needs to do something about it.
aahh. gotcha. I understand now about the tf3d being separate from the programs and such. Sorry I am a noob to the whole tf3d thing.
Any chance you can give me the path I need to enter in the tf3d configuration? So when I touch the internet globe in tf3d it will take me to internet explorer.

I went into windows through total commander and copied the path file from there and I still couldn't get it to work through tf3d.

Tried some of the internet sharing cabs and such I had laying around form other ROMs, nothing worked. I also have a Touch Pro, so this phone really is just a spare, but its almost worthless to me without tethering...

I got mine to tether using the QPST tool to change the modem connection username setting from [email protected] to [email protected]

no offense taken and I have been google-ing... I have found a link to it... but the link I found I used to try and install it on my tp1 and it never worked. I now have a tp2 and dont want to muck it up by not installing the latest version of it
Maybe you can try searching for HTC's wifi since... Tom Codon didn't do anything but take the package from HTC's ROMs and cab it. That doesn't make it "Tom Codon's wifi router"

After using this software your Winphone may not connect to any other wifi access point. Just go in to Settings, Connections, WiFi. Wireless Networks, Adapters tab. Choose the relevant wireless adapter and set it to Server assigned IP. Need to do this after each use of wifi router software. HTH
