Can somebody post default skin for Windows Mobile. I hate custom background which come with Faria WM6, otherwise good ROM.
Thanks,
What do you think the default one is? Can you describe it? I understood the one that is in Faria's latest is the true default one. I have a bunch of WM6 skins so I may have the one you are looking for.
Blue color, blue background for Today Screen
Which Faria ROM are you running? "the real thing"? I think that one did have a different one but I thought the default one was in there also. The new Faria WM6 rom thats in his ROM Kitchen is the blue'ish one that you may be talking about.
Here's a zip of all the different .tsk's I've collected from various WM6 roms and elsewhere. A lot of these are dark themes, but I think the Crossbow or the XPlore ones may be more what you are looking for (I don't have them installed right now so can't tell you what they all look like, so you'll just have to try them out).
Thanks,
Crossbow.tsk did it
hey all
After doing a lengthy bit of testing involving a WM5 wizard and a WM6 (pandora) wizard i have reached the following conclusion:
When in in WM6 and installing ANY dialpad which incorporates SMARTDIAL, it will not show smartdial. however, occasionally, the smartdial window will show, but you will only see the very first number that you punch in, it will not show any matches either.
in WM5, dialpad skins install beautifully and work as such.
the theme in question is Jimm98y's Vista Black theme.
is there any way somebody could fix this?! or release a theme that works on wm6, is black and has smartdial?!
thank you.

WM5 dialpads are not compatible with WM6. Eventhough the install successfully, it doesn't work as you noted.
Everyone is aware of this and there are a couple of threads addressing this issue right now. Take a look at them and find out the status.
Hello All!
I made this rom using the Kaiser Kitchen by jcespi2005 and jugglerlkr because I wanted the new radio with the HTC dialer from a Kaiser. This rom is based on RUU_Kaiser_CINGULAR_WWE so use 1.27.14.09 Radio.
As an added bonus, the little camera icon on the dialer that started voice calls on the original HTC rom acts like a talk button for those of us too lazy to hit the actually talk button. It does not however function as an end button. I can't fix this because I don't know how it's functioning as the talk button in the first place.
Do not use this ROM on the Kaiser if your going to use the front mounted camera for video calls. I have a Tilt so I removed all the Video Call png's from the rom.

ATT Dialpad (buttons too small)
PTT (PTT button functions as Voice Speed Dial on press and Record when held down)
Adobe Reader LE
ArcSoftMMS with SMS/MMS together
Clear Storage

Esmeretec Java
IA_ZIP
Real Player
Sprite Backup
TTY Settings
Sliding Sound and TouchFlo Clicking
Windows Update
ATT Junk From Operator Package (most ATT branded junk)
In:
HTC Dialpad (big buttons from HTC_WWE, not touchdialer)
HTC CommManager (9 button from HTC_WWE, not duttty's 10 button)
.NET CF and SQL CE 3.5
ArcSoftMMS with SMS/MMS separated
Camera (new version, it's the 5.04 version that's in dutty's dual touch v2)
Samsung Time
Bluetooth Audio Fix from AT&T's 1.61.502.2
Reg Tweaks:
Disabled Fast Sleep
Disable SMS Sent notification
Removed Title Bar Clock
Turned off Date on Today Screen (turn on through Settings -> Personal -> Today)
Enable HSDPA Icon (only icon, HSPDA can be enabled through Settings -> Connections -> HSDPA)
v3.4 changes:
replaced 1.60 SYS folder with identical SYS from 1.61.
rom date changed from 1.60's 11/01/07 to 1.61's 12/26/07.
*honestly I see no difference from 1.60 to 1.61 except for the bluetooth audio fix and a bunch of AT&T bloatware that was removed in my first rom. there is no need to update to my v3.4 if you're using my v3.3 rom. if you really want to update and want the new rom date and D version during boot you can backup your settings from 3.3 and restore to 3.4 without any issues. the only reason I made this rom is because there was a request for it.*

I made a cab to put the HTC Sliding Sounds back in Settings -> Personal. It is made to become Applet11 in the registry since the last applet in my v3.3 and v3.4 rom is Applet10. Don't try to use this with other roms unless you are 100% sure that your Applet11 is not in use. Reboot phone after installing.
congrats
congrats on your rom. i hope its as good as all the other roms that have been popping up as of late.
Well... The "smart mobility" startup screen was different. Scared me at first because I heard the phone vibrate from restarting and looked over to see a black screen with white writing. My first thought was, "Oh crud. What did I do?" LOL.
It's a very nice ROM, and was basically what I've been looking for since I started flashing ROMs. I'd say it sits inbetween the ATT 0.4.4 ROM, and Kyphur's XDA-Live ROM. It gets rid of all the bloatware and nonsense, while not being completely stripped down of some useful options. The HTC Dialpad, and CommManager are much nicer than their AT&T counterparts. It is fairly quick. I will have to see what it's like after I install HTC Home and a few other apps.
Very nice work.

Keyboard is AT&T Tilt layout.

Sorry bout that. I don't like AT&T's Deathstar. It's just too bright and AT&T like so I used the splash from HTC's ROM.

Thanks! I'm not anywhere near the others (dutty, kyphur, custel...), but this rom fits my needs perfectly. Hope it works for you too.
Hello All. Just added a NetCF 3.5 version to the first post. Inspiration from Dutty, OEM from FAMAN.
Hi all,
I am a super newbi and just got a new at&t tilt. I want to get rid of the bloatware and install this ROM. This would be my first ever mod/rom installation. What are the steps (CID/unlock), how to install ROM. I tried to search here but too much information...can't comprehend. Is there a quick start guide somewhere? Please help. I dont want to brick my phone.
Look at the stickied thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334679 by pof. Pretty much all you have to do is download the attachment at the bottom of the first post, activesync your Tilt, run the exe and follow the on screen instructions.
Remember if you want to use my ROM to upgrade the radio also. Links to ROM and radio are in the first post of this thread.
Thanks for the ROM. Exactly what I wanted. I like the dialer and comm manager from HTC - leave out all the att fluff and give me back the PTT button. Great job.
The Phone pad
I have a brand new Tilt and have added some cabs and i can say i would be very happy if I can just find the HTC phone dialer. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks

If you do a search for "touch dialer" or "kaiser dialer" you should be able to find a bunch. I'd rather not recommend any one dialer because I can't guarantee how well they will work on your phone. Hope that helps.
.Net fix in first post
If anyone is using my DK35 rom with .NetCF 3.5, please install the cab on the bottom of my first post to fix .Net issues. There are 6 files that are the incorrect version in the ROM. The cab file will replace these files with working versions.
Anyone using DK35v2 does not need to install this cab. Sorry for all the trouble.
sound?
awesome work, I love the fact that its very lite! but! im not getting any sound. nada. when i slide out the keyboard or play mp3s, i only get a clicking sound from the speaker. is this happening to anyone else? sound works fine when i use a different rom.
Edit: Works now! Thank you, akadonny!
Blar, check your radio version. You need to use 1.27.14.09. I have a link to it in the first post by jscepi2005. No need to flash the ROM again, just do the radio.
Will this rom cause problems if installed on a Kaiser rather than a tilt. I am looking for a 3.5 .NET rom but would prefer not to hose my kaiser in doing it.
Bratag, I only have a Tilt so I'm not able to test. I would guess that if the stock ATT rom works than this should also. I'm also not sure if the front camera on the Kaiser would work.
Hidden Proxy
Did you strip the enable/proxy settings?
Thanks,
Greg
Im comin from wm5 and Ive been comfortably using UI Tweaker to edit my upper lower taskbars. Im wondering does this work with wm6? Or is there a UI Tweaker for wm6 or a similar app that will let me customize the wm6 upper lower taskbars?
There is no new UI Tweaker specifically for wm6. Most of it's features work with wm6 with a few bugs, but I don't remember if the taskbars do.
I used to have a cab for it that was a program and it lets me set custom top and bottom bars.. just wish i could remember the name of it.
Here it is lol i found it..
thx man!
thanks
thank you
u really helped me
FYI - Doesnt work for WM6 Q9C Verizon Wireless.
Happy New Year guys!
My buddy has a tp2 from uscellular and I'm trying to hook him up with morphgear. I can't get the keymappings to work I just get the 229 code. I know how to map the keys by using the virtual keyboard but I'm supposed to switch to the windows mobile standard keyboard and the problem is that isn't an option. I have only the HTC keyboards listed. Anybody able to shed some light on this? Can I add the winmo keyboard through a cab or is there a setting that is hiding it from the list? Thanks in advance!

Is it the stock ROM or a cooked ROM? Some cooked ROMs don't have that stock WM keyboard.
Try going to Start > Settings > Personal > Input. Look for Keyboard in the drop-down. That's supposed to be the WM keyboard.
Sorry if that didn't help (I doubt it helped).
Happy new year!
Thanks for the reply although it did not really help but that's ok. The stock keyboard s not listed in the settings menu either. It should be a stock ROM because it hasn't been changed since it was brought home from the retail store but I wouldn't put it past USCellular to have a custom build. Does anyone have the stock keyboard pulled from the CDMA TP2?
As far as my limited knowledge allows me to understand, if its not already in the rom then it has to be cooked in with a custom rom. I have looked everywhere for a cab and the responses I got from much more experienced people is that you can only cook it in. There is no reg entry to mod or cab to install. Try spb keyboard as an alternative. Its a bit bigger than the stock one (cuz its meant to be finger friendly) but it has all the features that the stock one has. I would post the cab I have for it but Im not sure Im allowed to.

ok, sounds good I will try spb keyboard and hopefully it will let me map the hardware keys in morphgear. Can anybody on USCellular confirm the omission of the wm stock keyboard?
