Just wanted to post in a separate thread so it is not lost in a huge thread:
I just installed NBD 7.3 ext since it says Zoki got the latest bluetooth stuff in there.
It works with JointStereo = 1 like it is supposed to (it is STEREO not mono on this setting)! Quality is excellent on the two A2DP devices I've tried here.
So those of you looking for that latest A2DP where you do NOT set JointStereo = 0 , this is the ROM you want today.
Tomorrow, who knows?

Actually, I have A2DP running on NBD 7.2...just to let you know
Well i had a2dp running on 7.2 and it just sounded like crap no matter what you did. I guess it was because of the old a2dp drivers. Im gonna have to try out the new one. im pretty confident zoki fixed the problem on this one. Good job bro
it also depends of the headsets
of course it depends on the headsets but it cant be the headset when i have one wizard flashed with 7.2 and another flashed with xm6 and its a black and white difference in the sound between the 2. I got the pulsar 260's and they work really great. I like them alot better than the moto ones that i had.
that is true i also had a moto headset but then switched to a jabra 320s. but this rom is the best for A2DP, just flash and its ready.
What media players do you use?
On my hermes i use the pocketplayer. I love that one, the customizable equalizer and audio gains are awesome. But since on my wizard i flash it so damn much i use the htc audio manager. Works like a charm.
But Curwiler is talking about NBD 7.3, not 7.2! I'll test it today and write a report.

I've flashed NBD 7,.3 and I can confirm that my A2DP also works better with my Itech S38.
the state of art!
Perfect!
...I cannot find better words to define NBD 7.3....
and finally my a2dp works!!!
thanks Zoki.

nice work all of the people here that have time sharing their knowledge, i just got one question if you dnt mind, what is better ROM if you live in some part of asia(philippines), the version xx.12 or xx13?,and also what's a better RADIO version also xx.12 or xx.13?
And what's a GOOD combination= ROM xx.12/RADIO xx.13 or ROM xx.12/RADIO xx.12 or ROM xx.13/RADIO xx.13 or ROM xx.13/RADIO xx.12.
i've tried the combi ROM xx.13/RADIO xx.13, and something happen,my xdamini "TEMPERATURE" got higher,it's always WARM,but before, when i'm using combi ROM xx.12/RADIO xx.12,it's ok.(i put it back again NOW to ROM-.12/RADIO.12), but some people sez that RADIO xx.13(better battery life) is better than xx.12, and some also sez that ROM xx.13(better network coverage) is better than xx.12.
quite confusing!, i want the BEST for my mini, and also for saving some battery life. Hope SOMEBODY could help me with this one!
tnx in ADVANCE
ANYONE?, ANYBODY?
I'm completely satisfied with rom 1.13WWE & radio 1.12 for 6 months now. Better batterylife & more stable than with rom 1.11.
Just my 2C
TNX OLTP, you light up my life, gonna test it NOW!!!!
I like radio 1.13 better. I use a vivanco BT headset and with radio 1.12 the incoming sound was terrible. With 1.13 no complaints anymore.
So I guess, only when you have a good reason (like I did) you should upgrade to 1.13.
Hi mr-who,
Which BT device from Vivanco have you exactly? I got a BT22D & indeed the sound could use some improvement, if you got the same I'm going to try radio 1.13.
M
Hi oltp,
Indeed I have the BT22D. Bought it for E 24.95 at Steenweg in Utrecht. I know it is not the most expensive headset, but the incoming sound was a bit choppy. Using radio 1.13, the sound improved a lot. Give it a try and let me know!
Bought it @ a local shop in Arnhem for the same price. The sound isn't exactly choppy, it's more the background noise that's annoying. Anyway I'm going to give it try this week.
Thanks for the tip.
Hi, everybody, with the test i've done and with the reply you post, i have studied and conclude that the version 1.13 RADIO is mostly compatible on most european countries, and the RADIO 11.12 is most compatible on south east asian countries.
the test i've did is comparing the mini with my bluetake i-phono bluetooth headset and testing the reception or signal of the network. BOTH RADIO 11.13 and 11.12 are fine, no problem when calling, listening to music, ect., but the one thing i observe,is that there is a big difference on the temperature of my mini, when i use RADIO 11.12 and the bluetooth is always on,the TEMP of my mini is fine, but when i tried the 11.13,it's kinda WARMER,actually when your listening to music it's normal that the mini is getting warm, but not WARMER or even i dnt use bluetooth and listen to music it's still WARM.
My conclusion is maybe we have a different network signal here in my country compare to others, that's why maybe the're still no available or no available 11.13 updates at all for asian coutries. hope this may help someone quite confuse like me.
and also tnx to OLTP,it's true that the ROM version 1.13 is better battery life saver. that's it!
wow great
Thx dude for your input. was searching around here for the coments on how the radio rom version differs with one another.
using 1.11wwe, planning to upgrade~
OLTP can you tel me how to upgrade just RADIO ROM ( from 1.12 to 1.13)
What i must to do with "radio1.13.0.sd.nb1" file

hi there
thanks to all TNT 5.0 users and all the forum users for their good reports.
i found some new things will help us to improve our base rom, so here you are the new foundations:
- the drivers must be as modules not files.
- we should use 318 build 15342 drivers because they are the most stable (with fixing some of them)
- the most intersting thing is that: the 1437 is the most stable base rom, and that from my expiremnts for HERMES and Wizard roms (this base rom used for all new devices which means its the most stable).
- the new releasing will be very soon with new method which is the comming rom will be as a vinalla rom and use the Add Ons to choose whatever you want and if you have a bug you will know which Add On made this bug.
- the booting time = 30-35 seconds.
finally i have done all the work to make a new 1437 base rom using drivers as modules, so the rom is under testing right now and the releasing will be very soon, i'm sure if you feel high stabilty with TNT 5.0 you will have more and more with the new one.
all the bugs found on previous released has been solved (like wireless issue and so on )
so, many thanks to all for the good reporting
Great to hear that its right!
Nice working so far...
If I got your point, will you release the next TNT version over 1437? Right? What about 1908? Will you keep it developing?
Hope I understood that way....
Take care...
I have another request. I've noticed that the sound quality on our Wizards is generally not very high through the headphone output. I can play an MP3 file on my Wizard running to the line in on my car stereo and the highs are noticeably rolled off and the stereo separation is not as good as if I play that same MP3 file off of a CD in the same stereo.
However, one of the ROMs I used a couple months back apparently had an updated sound driver. This driver seemed to have noticeably better sound quality compared to most of the ROMs out there. I don't remember exactly which ROM it was, but I'm thinking it was one of the NBD 7.x variants maybe. If you're not already, could you see about using that updated driver?

we are looking for the stability dude, all the build after 1437 are for tests not as official, so why we are following these while we are looking for the high stabilty
i hope to get the latest build for my wizard, but at the same time i don't like to get testing and waiting for the issues while we have one very high stability.
you will know what i'm talking about if you use the new release.
i can edit the OS build to show the new build if the user just want to see the newest .
so just wait and test the new one dude.

Mfrazzz's Cingular Radio tweak for missed calls works 100% on 318 build 15342 ROMs, but not on other ROMs (see Cingular Missed call thread), Perhaps by using 318 build 15342 drivers on 1437 base ROM, the tweak may work as well. Let's hope so!
Yep...you can bet on it!
We sure search for stability together with performance. You definitely knows what you doing!
I'll keep my ears up for sure!

I dont know if its bug in the ROM. However ive been having trouble with the error message that says that i have few memory in my device. I have flash my carrier's original ROM and when i flash TNT 5.0 in the Professional or + HTC Home version, the problem persist.
I have flashed also empty ext roms with no success. Some other users have reported this problem.
Im a G4 user CID/sim Unlocked. I know that most of you guys have G3 devices and this kind of trouble is not happening to you.
If you need more detail to correctly diagnose what is wrong in my flashing procedure, i will happy to give it to you.
Best regards.

I don't know that it really has a name. It's just a 3.5mm male/male phono cable with a 3.5/2.5 mm female/male adapter on the end of it to plug into the phone.
The same for me, but for me in the port for phopet. I'think that wm5 a2dp patch could solve the bad sound on mp3-stereo
Finally .... I like vanilla idea ! So many ROMs with things I do not like. And I'm not a ROM chef.
for those have low mp3 quality, i found something on old A2DP doesn't there on the new builds, which is:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings]
"BitPool"=dword:3a
"UseJointStereo"=dword:1
"SampleRate"=dword:48000
so please test this if it useful or not??

The A2DP patch shouldn't have any effect on the analog out through the headphone port, only on bluetooth communication.

As I noted in my last post, A2DP settings should only affect audio over bluetooth, not through the line out. Also the default on the ROM is to turn joint stereo off. Joint stereo is bad since it mixes some of the high frequencies from each channel together to lower the needed bitrate. In other words, it reduces quality. So we're better off having the current settings I believe.
Another bug on TNT5
Before I forget to let you know, there is a huge bug in TNT5: If the device is locked, NO buttons but the power button will operate, not even the GREEN button to answer calls. Could a fix for this be provided so calls can be answered while the phone is locked?
Thanks!
EDIT: I have changed the LOCK settings in the BUTTONS applet to no avail>
I got an 32A Singapore version Magic from SingTel and yesterday I upgraded it to the official Singapore Sense UI ROM. Today I suddenly found the original headset coming with it (wired one but not bluetooth headset) cannot be used - the sound still comes from the speaker but not from the headset. I tried to plug it to another Magic with original factory ROM and it works, which means the headset itself is good.
To make sure it is the problem of audio jack or the ROM, could someone upgraded the official Sense UI ROM help check if it works on his/her Magic, please? I would say a very very big thanks.
I am also using a Singapore version Magic and upgraded it to the official Singapore Sense UI ROM. My headset works fine.
works fine for me. although I'm pretty sure my message ringtones still play from the speaker sometimes when im listening to music
I posted about this in the past my first g2x didnt work with it so i thought maybe it was messed up, i got a new g2x still doesnt work! thought maybe it was my bluetooth, got a new bluetooth still doesnt work! can anyone confirm this application is working with stock froyo? at my work im allowed to wear a bluetooth but cant have music blasting on my phone so this was perfect for me, it worked with my htc hd2 running android.......
Sadly no app that routes music to you're mono Bluetooth will work on the G2x. It for whatever reason requires stereo Bluetooth headphones to work. I bought supermono bt (or something to that effect), for my G2 which worked great. But none have worked on this one as of yet.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
I don't know about stock but I know the CM7 rom made some major changes to the bluetooth department. Their bluetooth stack seems to be a more common profiles vs the LG custom one.
My WiiMote app wouldn't work until I flashed CM7. I would try that before returning it again. It isn't damaged hardware but rather crappy software support. CM's kernel fixes most of those little annoyances.
Just flashed AR HD w/ no-sense for the first time last night, coming from MIUI and so far it's pretty good. I used Cyanogen for quite a while, then MIUI.us, which hasn't been able to get the code for Bluetooth A2DP yet. The "other" MIUI rom fortunately does have A2DP working, but since AR HD is the most popular ROM I'd thought I'd give it a try even though I'm not a fan of Sense.
Major dealbreaker is that I can't connect it to my car's Bluetooth stereo. I had no problems with stock, CM, or the "other" MIUI rom, but with this, I just can't connect to it.
Tried searching around, but couldn't find anything from anyone else having this problem, so I find it strange...
Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks!

Im running 3.6.7 and it quite happily connects to my built it Bluetooh in the car. Although this is for incoming phone calls and not A2DP so I dont know whether this makes any difference.
I ordered a Bluetooh Music receiver from Amazon last week to connect to my home cinema system and I was hoping to use my phone to wirelessly transmit music, now you have me worried! I will report back when it arrives and I have tested it.
Hoping to find it on the doormat when I get home from work today
Hi,
Bluetooth is notoriously poor with sense roms.
Cm7 has a very good bluetooth stack.
Hence you can work games controllers with it. And presumably your car equipment.
On sense roms, though, it can barely work my hands free ear piece.
So, if you use a lot of bluetooth, you are better off on cm7.
Thanks for your response! I've switched back to miui for now, but in searches for a2dp issues with ar HD, I couldn't find anyone having a similar problem...strange...
