My girlfriend desperately wants a T-mobile wing. go figure. Anyhoo, right now she is using my old unlocked 8125 with a faria WM6 on it. She also has a barely used T-mobile Dash locked with the test WM6. Now I was wondering If i could trade both of those phones for a T-Mobile wing. Better yet, how much could I get for the unlocked 8125 and the dash so I can have the money to buy a wing. Btw, I already know about the $99 deal but I don't to pay anything out of pocket except maybe shipping costs.
well, I see the 8125 selling on eBay for about $220 pretty regularly.

I paid 225 bucks on Ebay for my 8125.. And it was pretty much brand new, still had the plastic on the screen and camera.. the Dash, I'm not sure what those go for, but I would put a package together and sell them on Ebay.. both maybe with a buy it now price of 500 bucks or something...

very preceptive! yes that is me thanks for all the replies. my 8125 works great but the casing is not in the best shape in the world and its missing the stylus. so i'm guessing 220 dropped to 160-180?
however, the dash is in excellent condition. hardly used.

ok if you know anyone that is looking to trade please send them my way. I had the DASH but it was stolen so I picked up the WING thinking it was a better phone and now I wish I would have stuck with the DASH especially considering the DASH can run BBConnect and the WING can not.

I just bought a Tilt and I want to clean it up and get rid of all the AT&T stuff they put on there that really isn't needed.
Can you all suggest a ROM that will clean up the phone w/o loosing features and give me the iPhone theme (TouchFlo)
I would like to be able to use the onboard GPS for nav and listen to streaming radio and watch TV on it....

Don't be discouraged. Have a read of the link I posted there are some suggestions as to why we don't recomment ROMs.

BTW, I didn't ask "for a ROM".... I asked for a "recommendation" That's usually what forums are for..... asking questions and getting advise.
you guys use and work with the different Roms all the time, I don't. I find one I like and stick with it until I get a new phone.

I was only messing around, the text was supposed to say "Asking for a Recommend ROM...", but NVM.
If you looking for a ROM to stick with, try either the L26 ROMs, ROMeOS or the duttythroy Diamond ROM.

nah T-mobile UK is the greatest carrier. HTC Touch Pro, HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Kaiser,HTC Vogue, AND T-mobile G1

Probably not from HTC.. but thats what XDA is for!
Once people start buying the Maple in the U.S. (its going to be on practically every carrier) then you won't have to worry about HTC's ROM updates.
I'm sure someone will cook up a great ROM for the Maple once the device becomes popular- and it will.

You never know. When the original Dash came out we got an official upgrade from WinMo 5 to 6 a few months later. Maybe they will do the same for the Dash 3G from 6.1 to 6.5. Talking about the T-Mobile versions of course.

I have an actual HTC Rep through my Sprint Sales rep here in the US. We'll name him DP. I have access to HTCChampions.com and have yet to find any indication of this, i've requested the information from DP himself, and hope to hear back soon.
*Edit:
I just received a call, he said the only phone slatted for the Windows Mobile 6.5 Upgrade that he's aware of is the TouchPro2. Truthfully it sounded like he didn't know himself, he stated that the version of Windows 6.5 only brought a second browser (Opera) to avoid the "Anti-Trust" issues Micro$oft has been facing. He said that he has spoke to Sprint Corp and they've decided to hold of till Windows 7 before making any large changes.
PS, he called back with the information, and i was unable to get it recorded

Yeah i know, people have been asking this for a long time now. But the thing is, if they wanted Android, i wonder why did they buy a HD2 in first place? haha
I, too, came from android, but I wanted to try winmo that's why i went with Hd2 instead of nexus one. Although i miss android, I don't think the Hd2 needs Android. I love it so far. just hoped sling player worked on it. otherwise, phone is great.
to the OP:
i would suggest looking into evo or something else, if u want android man. Don't hope everything can be ported these days. Porting a mobile OS is a pain in the you know what. And these devs who doesn't get paid to port, won't port it unless they really want to sacrifice precious time of their lives.

Its cause when I suggest HD2 being great hardware but the software is crap people just believe the hype... In my store we reset the phones at least 2 a week because it crashes...
ive buyed hd2 because of the good hardware. but i thik android its better than WM 6.5.

I don't think the software is crap! lol...the only thing I hate about the window mo, is that there are not enough software for the phone!! and all the new stuff that is coming out is either for android or iphone.
