Yeah, it works fine with Vista. The software comes with Microsoft Office. I don't know if it's available separately though.
well, when i said without XP, i really meant without the Office software
but thanks anyway, maybe I can bum it off of my mom when the school makes her upgrade to the new office
Office one note

Hi ! What are you looking for?
I have XP and office 2007 with onenote. Onenot by default identify the WMS5/6 and will pormpt you if you want to install on the device.
So yes it can run independent of XP since it is running on WM5/6. but you would need to install it once via XP, I do not know about Vista.
I am not sure if I answered your question.

Does anyone have a trick to get a wm6 device to sync with missingsync? Marrk/Space dose'nt seem to have a clue.

It look them long enough to get WM5 support and the likes of PocketMac still haven't released their WM5 version!!! crap
If you have a Intel Mac, get Parallels on it... it saves all the hassle
Parallels is great but it does not solve any sync issues for those of us that are using iCal and other Mac programs.

In my opinion the developer is just stalling and dont want to work a bit hard to get to the solution.
Hi Guys,
Only recently switched over to a PDA, before that i was a real SE hardcore user, and there was a wonderful pieces of software named Float's (http://fma.sourceforge.net) which allowed me to do everything from my PC, including sms, receive calls editing contacts and so on, now my question, anyone knows something similar to use with windows mobile phones??
FMA sounds like a great product.
Try My Mobiler. I am sure it doesn't even come close to FMA but it's may be all we got for Windows Mobile.
i use true connect

Well, it's a completely different - it's "just" a remote controller app. See my review of it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=318425 if interested.
As far as a desktop app closest to FMA is concerned, let me recommend Jeyo.
Ok guys~ thanks for the info, think i'm gonna give Jeyo a try
there is a trial version anyway !
I can't seem to get intellisync to recognize the touch pro. I click configure and a window pops up and just says connect any windows ce device. No matter what i do it stays like this. I've uninstalled activesync and still nothing.
Has anyone had any trouble with this as well?
Maybe a solution
I haven't looked up what intellisync is, but if it is the same as activesync I might know the solution.
I found that when you run activesync on your touch pro, and then connect your device to your pc, the program ask you how you want to connect the device to your pc. You can choose to use activesync, connect as HDD, and something else.
Choosing to use active sync might solve the problem, else check your firewall.
I just read somewhere you still need activesync to make the connection.
Yea i chose activesync and i disabled my firewall cause i believe wm phones connect to active sync through a port which is stupid but oh well. Intellisync is basically the same as activesync but u can sync with other programs besides outlook.
Still hoping for a solution here but then again i'm not sure if my tilt worked either. This is the first time i've tried it.
Just tested the tilt and it isn't recognized either.
For all those who use intellisync i have been reading somethings online and i don't think its compatible with windows mobile 6.1. Does anyone have it working on any WM6.1 device?
I'm using Intellisync on WM6.1 (Htc Diamond) and it's OK.
Hmmm how?? What version are you using?
Intellisync Mobile Suite 9.0
ClientShell.exe 8.1.0.54
SyncMail.exe 8.0.56.1
Corporate edition (synchronize with LotusDomino)

We also use a Lotus Domino.
Best regards.
I have yet to find a intellisync that will work with my touch pro so i guess i can be of no help.....
Hi guys,
I've flashed my phone with the .405 euro firmware however seem to have lost remote desktop, does anyone know where this will be or how I can find the cab and reinstall it?
Many thanks.
You have this one:-
http://www.koushikdutta.com/search/label/Omnipresence
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425627&highlight=remote+desktop
but i haven't tried either yet.
Let me know how you get on plz
ta m8,
The real windows remote desktop is definitely best because windows will scale all your windows and is really responsive, however you may have concurrent login issues if you try to use your pc at the same time!
The other is more like VNC where you view an existing login, however that then begs the question why not use a mobile VNC program as it's well established and more supported. I'd say the good thing about omnipresence is it attempts to use touchflow navigation concepts but at the moment the response is slow, could be good in the future though.

That might explain, that when I try and remote onto my PC it tells me the UN or PW is incorrect. (I know it isn't).. Is this because I'm logged in?
It should log you out on your pc when you try to connect i think

How did you have to hack Vista plz.. I'm also using that OS, so might be the same problem?
I'm useing RDM+ instead from Shape service.
Much simpler and no need to configure and firewalls.. downside is that it aint free. But then again it's a one time fee, all other upgrades are free.
lots of functions too like file upload and download. And the person that is online dosen't get log out.
Imo it's a really good application.
Again either using RDT or Logmein.com , It says user name or password incorrect.
I know its not, coz thats what I use to log into the system!!!
Any ideas, this is a real puzzler1

Someone told me that Windows Phone 7 or 8 apps will run on Windows RT. Is this true? If so, can someone test to see if the app above will work on Windows RT? I've tried to Google the answer, but no results popped up.

No, they will not (except under a windows phone simulator). Whoever told you that was wrong.
Soon it will be possible...don't know how soon though...

I doubt that. The job posting news sites are linking talks about source code compatibility between Win8 and WP8. Nothing about running WP apps on Win8.

What is this based on? The Windows Phone SDK uses a different API (the WinPhone api even in WP8 is NOT WinRT/"Store App", rather it is still largely the same as WP7x)
Not only that, but why would you want the lower functionality of a WP app on WinRT?
