Copy / Paste not working with Tomeraider 3? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

I upgraded my ROM to Xplore and for some reason the Copy/Paste functionality is not working anymore in Tomeraider. Any idea how to fix this. I frequently research things/interest facts for my general knowledge and paste it in a word document. Absolutely any help you can provide is appreciated.

3.55.502.01 BASIC WWE ROM (19214) [12Mbyte Page Pool] ** 6 Versions NOW AVAILABLE **

Firstly:
Sorry for the confusion I was not aware that "NO THRILLS" which is what I originally called this Basic ROM was someones 'Trade Mark'. Please forgive me for stepping on any toes, it was not intentional, and not intended to take away from anyones well earned glory. Sorry all!!.
So Here it is:
This is my first ROM I've put up for Download. I've been playing about with these ROMs for quite a while and I have really appreciated everyones help in developing wonderful tools and freely distributing them here.
XDA-Developers is just brillient
So This ROM is based on the latest ATT build (3.55.502.1) I have removed all of the ATT bloat ware, and several applications listed below, and left the ROM open for customizing. I have often found that Most ROMS have only the 5 tab Home, and the older Task Manager etc, so I have removed all traces of these applications and simply left the ROM barebones, so people can just add applications as needed.
Applications removed:
ATT Music Shop
ATT Games Shop
ATT Mobie TV
ATT Music ID
ATT Mall
Real Player
HTC Home
HTC Today Plug-in
HTC Task Manager
Windows Music Player Plug-in
Microsoft Welcome Center
Applications Added:
SDAutoRun
Windows Vista Wait Cursor
Windows Media Player Compatability Upgrade (now plays mp4 video)
Screen Capture App
Reg Editor
This ROM does run 2 additional small Cabs after first installed, these are adding small settings for the ATT network. These Cabs DO NOT AFFECT any none ATT users. Hence this ROM can be used on all carriers that I am aware of.
This ROM is compatible with all the 1.65 Radios. I have not Tried the 1.58 yet, but I have tried the new 1.71 Radio and that one is also compatible with this ROM.
Voice Command and all the OFFICE applications are still there, as is NETCF2.0
I have uploaded two copies, one with the radio, and one without.
I am planning on doing a fully loaded ROM soon based on this acrhitecture.
Please let me know what you guys and girls find with this new ROM
Thank you

I called this ROM a NO THRILLS Rom. Sorry for any confusion but this rom is in no way associated with the Master Chef "NoThrills". Please forgive me if I mis-represented this ROM. I simply ment that it was a stripped down ROM with only Basic Apps installed. In England where I am originally from No Thrills means just that, "very basic". Which is why I used the term. I was not aware until recently that "NoThrills" was a xda members name.
However, NOTATreoFan is dead right its "No Frills" I was thinking of. Doh!!!!! Trust me I program better than I apparently speak !!!
Sorry for the confusion NoThrills. Please don't hate me, i'm just stupid
Problems Reported So Far
None, However some poeple have commented on various NETCF configurations, hence the list of availlable versions has been updated to accomodate these requests.

This isnt the "No Thrills" that you think it is, it looks like we have a new chef which is great but I agree that this should prob be changed from "No Thrills" that is of course you want a cluttered thread with questions like the above. Its always nice to have another chef though, Ill give it a whirl if I get the time.
Finaly????

This is not No Thrills Rom.....!
He can rename it to No Frills. Oh wait... that would confuse people who shop at Pathmark and buy their house-brand products...

I hate to be that guy who says "I told you so" but, I told you so LOL
You are right. I was not aware until just now that NoThrills was someones call sign. I have changed the name of the file and printed an appology in the listing.
Thank you for your comments.
Like yourself...I'm anxiously trying and struggling to become a avid chef in cooking ROMs. Is it possible that you could direct a noobie like me to a tutorial or Wiki about what steps you took to take out most of the different AT&T apps and such? This is something I've been trying to do for some time now and have failed at almost every attempt. Any help would be greatly appreciative so that I can further my cooking expertise. If you don't know where to find information could you possibly post a Wiki or tutorial on how you done it yourself?
EDIT: Can someone mirror this through MegaUpload? Rapidshare keeps giving me an error.

Great Entrance, Anthony, but I welcome your "stripped" WWE Rom to the Kaiser community..
Great stuff for those who like it plain and simple.
Good to see so many new chefs around.
Look forward to seeing more of your work in future.
WIzard200x,
"Stripped" .... Yes that would of been perfect
Next time, I will think a little harder before giving my creations a name.
Thank you everyone for your understanding !!

Could you help a fellow new chef out and give me some pointers on how you edited some of the files?

Hi,
I'm not sure if there is a quicker way to do it, but for me it was a case of locating each and every file for the apps not wanted and deleteing them. Then I went through each rgu file and removed all entries concerning the programs no longer installed. You also have to go through each provxml file to locate any references in there as well, otherwise the rom might develop instabilities. I also did some very minor dsm extractions.
My ROM will decomplie again, so if your looking for a basic architecture to begin on, download my rom and extract it.
Hope that helps

What did you use to view the rgu, provxml files, and dsm files?
I keep getting an error saying that I'm already downloading a file from RapidShare when I try to download either version

Which files are you refering too :
I used notepad for the following files
.provxml
.rgu
and a HEX editor for:
.dsm
I can not report to much success with the dsm files. My knowledge of this area is limited. I was able to remove some lines that were not wanted, but some of the files did not translate well.
Hope that helps
That helps me out quite a bit. I'm going to retry what I've been battling all night and see what I can come up with

getting started in programing for WM6. pls advise

hi folks,
i love my phone and will like to contribute...
i studied years ago turbo pascal but i figured that programing languages basically have similar flows?
i will like to seek advise from pros on how do i get started?
can i
1) know what programing language or tools do i need?
2) know what are the usual errors or problems so that my climb will be easier?
i am really sincere and i hope the pros can take some time to advise me...
yours
leo
I would say, the easiest way to do some application pgrogramming, is to use the Visual Studio 2008(Tool) and C#(language). The platform is .Net framework 3.5.
You can download the latest Windows Mobile emulators, and use it along with Visual studio to test and debug your programs. Once you are satisfied with the program, you can build the cab using Visual Studio(which you can install on the real windows mobile device).
Please post specifics if you need more info. I am sure most of the poeple here are willing to help!
Please try the search function before posting even though this is the Q&A section
This question was just asked: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452400
sorry bro . . .
its fine, just figured you might find a little information quicker there
ok specific Q can i rely solely on "WYSIWYG" interface? rather than hardcode like C etc?
Nope. Solely WYSIWYG won't get you anywhere.
But you can use it. For example the CompactFramework.Net (CF.Net) has a WYSIWYG interface, but the underlying functionality you'll have to write yourself.
If that is what you meant...

PDF Comment/markup tool...or equivalent to

I am looking for the ability or write on a PDF, ie. use the comment and markup tools that come with acrobat standard. I have engineering drawings emailed to me as PDFs and I have to redline them and either save them for later or send them back. I am utterly amazed that no one else seems to have this need because I can not find any program that can do this. Has anyone found an app that will let you take notes on a pdf? Had anyone found a work around (export to this format and reopen in that program ect.)?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
specs: ATT Tilt2, WM6.5, TF3D 2.1
Moved as not software release.
Willing to buy software
I am willing to pay for software if that is what is needed to get this functionality. But if it is still not possible can anyone tell me why its not possible? Am I asking this question in the wrong forum? Wrong website?

Open Document Reader

Hi all
i'm searching for something to open opendocument files
i mean, the file made with openoffice and other ISO/IEC 26300:2006 compliant programs (i.e .odt, .ods and like)
[i cannot post link... btw wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenDocument ]
i tried Thinkpad free (i got for free in my SGS) and also other apps i don't remember (even one i paid for it x.x ) but noone will open my odt files ;_;
the only solution i got is Offiviewer who don't "read" document files, but send them to a server who convert into pdf and send back... :\
do you know an app who can let me read my documents?
ty everyone for the help
Sorry for answering such an old answer, but maybe the thread's author is still following this...
A colleague and I were working hard on such an app. It's released on the Android Market for a while now, and it's called OpenOffice Document Reader.
Feel free to tell me what you think and suggest new features (yes, we're working on editting ).
I'm going to create a new thread for this app in a few minutes here on XDA...
Have a nice day

IGo8 and Primo sxs.txt generator

Just discovered this handy little tool for writing sys txt for Igo 8 or Primo.
Thanks to kimyaci and robynk
https://rapidshare.com/files/4073795642/SysConfigurator_1.2.rar
Posted it on a couple of older threads but they appear to be obsolete. This handy little tool allows you to fully customise and generate a sys.txt file for both Igo and Primo. It has an easy to use interface in English, Spanish and French. Pretty self explanatory. No more trawling forums for half remembered commands .
Basically it is a windows program that categorises many of the Igo and primo sys text commands. It provides clear explanations of what they do. You just tick the boxes for those that you want to use and the program can then generate a new sys.text file or update an existing one. Very useful for both customising and troubleshooting in IGo as it saves you having to look up the commands or even doing any typing.
The original comes from a spanish forum and I presume any updates will be published there.
Requires registration.... Upload it to a public share...
Sorry I'm not sure what that means? This is just a link to a piece of software that I thought was useful.

When I click the link it says, you must register. I and also others don't like to register and would appreciate if you could move the file to another place for downloading.
ok I get it now. Didn't realise that was what happened. I thought it just went straight to the download. Will upload it to rapidshare. Removing the link for now.
EDIT
All done. Rapidshare link now in place. Sorry about that.
Downloaded ok. fantastic thanks
425 downloads in total. Guess some people have found it useful
hi thank you for the tool can anyone upload it again the link is dead.
thanks in advance.

Enjoy.
iGo sys.txt configurator: Excellent
@corrsea
Many thank mate. Great small software.
Unbelievable that link is still working.
Although I am using iGO since the first release on old PDA, I always use to alter the sys.txt file manually.
I did know that such configurator exists and I have never searched for it.
Respect.:good:
long live open source
just downloaded it.
Great find for me.
Thanks
Gone thu all the menu options setting in particular the warning setting The over speed warning works as well visual and voice announcement department. Set speed camera and red light for visual and voice announcement. Only the visuals come up but no accompanying voice message Downloaded sysconfigure looked @ the sys file to see difference to the gps original sys file and observed no difference in the warning list. Not knowing sys script requirements don't understand how to force voice messages via the script An example of a howto would be appreciated
did manual editing of the sys file restarted the gps then closed down primo re-writes the sys file so changes are lost! Suspect the problem is in the primo software
