O2 XDA II Mini Original Rom WWE - PLEASE!

Hey guys,
Well I succeeded in upgrading to Anansky's BigStorage ROM and was very satisfied, but now my stupid speaker broke (I have a similar problem to other users where they can hear sound if they blow into the speaker). I have to return the Magician so I need to revert back. Can someone PLEASE upload the original XDA II ROM PLEASE???
Here's a list of instructions on how to backup the ROM:
Backing up your ROM can be done by connecting your Magician to the PC through the data cable when you first uncheck the USB connection of active sync.
If your Magician connects with active sync because you didn't uncheck the USB connection in the active sync connection settings then you will not be able to backup your ROM to an SD memory card.
1. Before connecting your Magician you should bring it into the boot loader mode. This can be done by simultaneously pressing power + camera buttons and at the same time the soft reset button with the stylus.
2. After connecting your Magician to the PC through the USB in boot loader mode and having your SD card inserted into the MDA, you run romupdate.exe.
3. Then choose the USB connection in the connection settings of romupdate.exe window and click on ok. After that a terminal window will popup in that window.
4. Type d2s and press enter. Your Magician will start copying the ROM to the sd card. The screen of your Magician will be dark (no light), but you will see it counting up to 100%. When it reaches 100% it will say it is calculating the checksum. Give it some time till its done and it will say checksum ok.
5. After finishing the transfer of the ROM from your Magician to the SD card, put your SD card into an SD card reader connected to your pc. Your pc might pop up a warning message that says your SD Card is not formatted would you like to format? Click No and open a Command prompt (DOS) window.
6. Change directory to your root directory (cd c:\) and run the command ntrw read o2orig.nb1 x: where x is the drive letter of your sd card. That command will create the ROM Backup file of your ROM into your C drive root directory by the name of o2orig.nb1. Make sure you keep o2orig.nb1 in a safe place and use a copy of that file for the rest of the procedure. Note that after finishing the copy from your SD card to o2orig.nb1 file ntrw might give you an error, just don’t pay attention to it.
7. WinRAR the o2orig.nb1 file, then upload it to the XDA Developers FTP .[/i]

The question is why havent you got a backup?? You were told to do this in the first instance should anything go wrong!!

somebody apparently has uploaded the O2 mini original rom, check it out!

The answer to this was I was using my digital camera as an SD reader...and the backup didn't work properly for some reason. So now I have nothing.
The backup (I think you're talking about the O2 Original Dump Rom) doesn't work for me. I have a 1.11 version of the O2 Asia ROM, but I'd rather have the original WWE. Oh yes, and I've tried several times with the "Original Dump Rom" using 220, 415 and 416 bytes...nothing works.

This may work for you - use the romupdate software to get the rom image of your device to the sd card. By this stage you have an edited rom image on the pc. Use ntrw to write that image over the top of the sd card that you have just written to with romupdate. Then plug it into the ppc. Do not format the sd card in the immediate procedure at anytime. For whatever reason I think the romupdate software puts a format on the sd card which the ppc recognises. There were a number of errors on the ppc screen just after installation however when you push the reset button hey hey the original splash screen boots up. Prior to this check that the edited rom header is 416, in my efforts it was not 415. The RomMiniOrg.nb1 image was good with the only NON change being the radio which remained at version 1.11 but I downgraded it to 1.05. I don't think the service centre will worry to much about this should you need it. Goodluck with this, it worked for me.

Thanks for the help. I did what you said but it still didn't work. However, I used O2_mini_asia from the FTP to downgrade my extended rom, protocol and rom version...then I found the Radio downgrade on the FTP and downgraded to version 1.01.
now everything is original!
I didn't know that the Nb1 files did not include the radio stack downgrade so I had to downgrade that seperately.

the command in the romupdate program basically determine which image to backup.
d2s for rom, but I am not sure what's the other command for extended rom and radio. Anybody?

Can I use MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to change the ROM on my mini with the o2mini_asia.nb1 ?

you will have to use the process as described in procedure.doc (available in the FTP under anansky's bigstorage folder)

I did as described in the procedure.doc. I have run this command
ntrw write o2mini_asia.nb1 e: and then inserted the SD card into my mini and pressed the power+camera+soft reset button
but it is not doing anything, it has stopped at "Serial" above and v1.00 below for an hour now. Any suggestions?

Sorry for the last post, was trying out something else.
I am using a 256MB SD card and the size of the rom is only 127MB after ntrw, does it make any diff??

you can always ntrw write a 127mb rom image into a 256mb sd card.
the rom flash will not work (and hence the no update allowed message) if your rom image in your sd card is invalid for some reason. I make a bobo previously, trying to copy 416byte of anasky rom into my original rom, instead of the other way round. And it give me that error message. After realising my mistake, and did the right modification, the flash went through successfully. so double check your rom header edit if you are not able to proceed to the flash step.

I have a mini with qteck 1.11.00 WWE
and I have download the o2mini rom from xda ftp and have got a 256 mb card
if I want to flash my mini with the o2mini rom the are these the steps to follow
1. dump qtek rom into card
2. copy it to pc
3. copy 1st 416 bytes of qtck into o2mini rom
4. dump o2mini rom into card
5. put mini into bootloader mode
6 update with mini rom

where is the file?

Help Me to relive my MDAC PLS!!!

Guys i have a big big problem here.... my mdac is dead, is in bootloader mode... I have tried to flash the rom how is described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=144686#144686 but i see the screen of the rom version empty (i tried several times...)
So i decided to do the reflash by an sd card, i downloaded the nb1 file from ftp (if you have a .nb1 file to send me i apreciate that )written it on the sd with ntrw, inserted in my mdac (blocked in bootloader) but nothing happens! Reset and reset but nothing!
What can i do?! How can i relive my mdac?!
HELP ME PLS!!!!
P.s. when i reset it with the sd inserted and the usb connected the pc says that is an unknown USB device... if i reset again without the sd inserted it reconize the mdac how a ms sync cable... the ActiveSync USB check is unselected...
P.p.s I have posted the same topic in the giude for the sd upgradig... sorry for that but i'm disperated!

* first uncheck the USB connection of active sync.
* run the command ntrw write rom.nb1 x: in the command prompt window where fixed.nb1 is the filename of the ROM and x the SD card drive letter.
* Put your SD card into your MDA and get your MDA to boot loader mode again (power+camera+reset buttons). On your unlighted screen you will see it says serial wait and after some seconds it will say (Press Power to flash).
* Do as it says and it will start flashing. When your MDA reaches 100% flashing, it will check the checksum. Don't worry about the message Checksum failed - Flashing failed and soft reset your MDA.

Hi had already done this operation... but nothing...
i had to do with the mda connected to the pc? On the screen don't appear nothing... only serial v 1.00 (or usb v1.00 if is connected at the pc)
have you a backup of your rom that can i put on my sd? So i'm sure that it works...

I don't have the backup rom of my mdac, how can i do? There's somewhere an original rom for the Tmobile German Mdac? I read that i need to overwrite first 416bytes of the rom to upgrade with the first 416 of the old rom, but i haven't it...

Rom flash via storage card... how?

i cant flash thru bluetooth and my usb port on my tilt doesnt work. how can i flash thru storage card?

Make sure you have installed HARDSPL.
Download a rom and rename it to KAISIMG.nbh
Hold down the camera button and soft reset, should bring you to the tri-colour screen. Press power to flash the new rom.

im using a fat32 micro sd. i renamed the nbh file to KAISIMG.nbh and transferred it to the root of the micro sd. i get the bootloader screen on, it flashes grey quickily and says no image file and then it goes back to the multi color screen.
i beleive it is hardspl, it says SPL-1.0 and i have previously flashed other roms onto the phone.
any help

You need to flash HardSPL.

can i flash hardspl with my storage card?
also, i have previously flashed other roms, doesnt that mean i already have hard spl? the phone is also already SIM unclocked. i could i have sword i did a hardspl.

check by holding the camera button while soft resetting, it will tell you in the bootloader what spl ou have, and let you flash w/ the sd card (but if you need to change the hardspl, you need to use your computer)... read the wiki for directions (sticky for spl directions)

just check that when you format your SD card that it is done as fat 32, and not just fat, as i made the same mistake yesterday..I do all my flashing from sd card, as using vista x64 and its so unreliable i dont want to risk bricking the phone...My mate originally did the hard spl for me, and mine shows 1.0 olipof like yours, and i have no problem flashing now..

I used to find on the Hermes that sometimes I needed to reformat the card and copy the ROM file over again. Dunno why or what changed but sometimes it would just take a few goes to 'catch'

One other thing.
The SD cannot have a Label when you Format it.

Phone stuck on Loading...

Hi,
I was doing my first ROM upgrade, following instructions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835).
I was doing the Flashing via MicroSD Card using cmonex HardSPL 3.29 part and my phone is stuck in the Loading... screen. Can someone tell me how long this take to complete. Or is my phone gone.

Not really an answer what loading screen?
Has it stopped while updating via SD when you see the blue bar going across the screen, has it stopped after that so say on SPLASH or Animation etc.......

hmm, is the name of the .nbh KAISIMG.nbh? also, is your card formatted as fat32?

yes i was updating via sd card. it it still says loading......its a white screen with blue letter. I have to two files i extracted from Cmonex's HardSPL 3.29SD....and then i inserted the sd card. then I please teh power button, camera button, and the soft reset button and went to the tri color screen for a second then i went into this loading screen. its a white background with blue lettering. Hope that clarifies....

yes thet card was formatted to fat32 i am sure of that....i also just checked the name of the file...there was two nbh files in the folder....KAISDIAG.NBH and KAISIMG.NBH

can i do a soft reset or will that damage the phone

I went on the bootloader screen and check and the second line on the screen said spl 1.93(i believe)....Do i need to install a another HARDSPL on the phone to do an upgrade?

of course! don't flash until you have HardSPL, version 3.29 is good

I have a couple of more questions...One is do i need to follow step number 4 (SIM and CID-Unlock), it says it is optional and i dont want to unlock my phone because it is already unlocked. The second is the I cannot put HARDSPL via SD CARD....I have to use this method right...
3. Flash HardSPL 3.29 [ESSENTIAL]
Flashing via ActiveSync with USB Lead
1. Copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe, JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe and JumpSPL1.94-KAIS.exe to your device memory (NOT STORAGE CARD)
2. Pull out the battery and reinsert it (this step IS important) *DONT turn phone back on yet*
3. REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS!!
4. Turn phone back on and let it boot back into your operating system
5. Connect your phone to PC with a USB cable and wait until it syncs with your PC
6. Run File Explorer on your phone, browse to where you copied JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe on your device and run it (make sure the USB cable is still connected). If you get a white screen then reset your device and now try JumpSPL1.93 and lastly try JumpSPL1.94 if that one doesnt work.
7. CLick Continue on phone when prompted
8. After a few seconds the tri colour screen will appear on the phone and "USB" will be displayed at the bottom
9. Unplug the usb cable for 30 seconds and then Replug (phone will not re-sync but still says "USB" on the screen)
10. Right click on the Activesync icon in the bottom corner icon on the computer, goto connection settings, deselect "Allow USB connections" and click "ok"
11. Run the KaiserCustomRUU.exe file on your PC thats in the same folder as the HardSPL .nbh file and follow instructions (ticking boxes and clicking Next) *DO NOT re-enable USB Connections in Activesync*
12. Update will goto 100% (should take less than a minute), the Congratulations screen will be displayed on the PC and the phone will restart
13. Unplug USB cable from phone then REPLACE SIM and SD CARDS !!
14. Restart phone
*Remember to re-enable "Allow USB connections" in Activesync connection settings after a successful flash*

After the crash I get this msg: ""Update Terminate Update Failed""
Any suggestion please? need more info? then let me know

Without knowing which ROM you are trying to load or how you are doing it.
First things to try would be to re-download the CHEEIMG.nbh file, and also to re-format the SD card (FAT32), or try another one. Also, the SD card should be 2GB or less.

here is how i am flash my treo :
1 - sd format (FAT32)
2 - i extract CHEEIMG_FW.nbh from the treo750_2_23_VF_DE_desktopupdater.exe
copy in the sd and rename it to CHEEING.nbh
3 - reboot : press the MEDIA button AND at the same time with the stylus the RESET PIN
the MEDIA button is the 3rd button on the left side of the phone, under the volume button
the RESET PIN is under the MINI SD card cover
he didn't go to ende . i see this on my screen :

Again, have you tried re-downloading the file, and re-formatting your SD card?
Also, what happens if you do a hard reset without the SD card in the phone? Does it revert back to your old OS?
If it reverts back to your old OS and you can then Active Sync it, then just run the desktop updater exe. Don't bother trying to upgrade your ROM with an SD card.
If after the hard-reset your phone is still locked up and you've tried re-downloading the file and re-formatting the SD card (or tried another one), then I would try downloading a different ROM and see if that works.
