Multimedia at Qtek 8310

Hello everyone,
I am just about to buy the Qtek 8310, because I really want a Windows Smartphone with Wifi... as far as I know the Qtek 8310 is the only Windows Smartphone with Wifi?
Now why do you think is Wifi so important to me? Because I wanna stream stuff from the net all day. The most important thing is to be able to stream music from www.Shoutcast.com the stream there are of extremely high quality and one example link is:
http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-playlist.pls?rn=1025&file=filename.pls
So do you think I would be able to listen to this channel using Qtek 8310 via Wifi? What player would I have to install (I guess TCPMP)? And what about watching movies online (streaming)? Does anyone have experiences with this kind of stuff? Does YouTube etc. work, having installed the right software?
There are also a bunch of TV channels online. So if the video streaming works via Wifi then = Qtek 8310 has TV
WOW I'm really in love with this Smartphone and can't wait to hear that all the streaming is possible so I can finally go ahead.
the i-mate SP5 (same as QTEK/HTC 8310) has Wifi too
so has the im-ate SP5m and QTEK/HTC 8300
The HTC620 smartphone includes also WIFI (and a 'keyboard')
and there are other smartphones which includes WIFI
tcpmp is the best, particularly for shoutcast streams. I use that on qtek 8300, pretty much the same thing.

Sirius Satelite Radio

Does anyone know how to listen to sirius satelite radio on their windows mobile 6.1? The siriuswm5.cab does not work. Thanks.

To my knowledge, TCPMP is able to play a few types of common internet radio feeds.

Radio app for WinMo

This app for the iPhone seems long overdue for Windows Mobile. Loonnnng overdue.
Can it be ported?

Really? One that includes a majority of ClearChannel stations? Care to point me towards one of these apps?

I use shoutcast website to find various (almost commercial free mostly) internet radio stations. I create M3U playlist for each radio station (using Winamp) and save them to my device in a folder I created called (internet radio stations) I have created shortcuts to each of my favorite radio stations in ultimate launch and had it load TCPMP to play each radio station. Works like a charm for me - I have a dedicated Ultimate launch page strictly for my favorite internet radio stations. Too bad I can't get a good unlimited data plan in Canada to listen to them whenever I want (such as in my car) but I use it all the time when connected to WIFI.

I'm not interested in internet radio stations, I'm interested in the stations locally owned by ClearChannel, and other ClearChannel stations nationally that I enjoy.

You do understand that unless you are listening to FM or AM radio on your device - If it is capable - that anything else is basically online Internet streaming radio - It may be a live radio station streaming over the net or a purely internet radio station. The concept I mentioned above of having your favorite stations can still apply.
Perhaps what you are looking for is an easier way? An all in one app that will be preprgramed with your favorite online radio stations.
There is a serius/XM Satellite radio app available in this forum - take a look at that - you will need to subscribe to Serius or XM radio to get your online listening account and password - (this i still internet radio - Serius or XM Streaming live over the internet)

I hear you,WN. It's not an app but I use a work around call The Mobile Stream Center. I think they also have an Iphone app. Anyway, it's online streaming through media player. It's actual stations!!! I listen to three Clear Channel sations here in New Orleans. You can search the list of stations by their call letters.

Yes, I know technically it is "internet streaming radio", however these are local stations, and that is what I would prefer to listen to.
The application is completely free for the iPhone. I'm not going to pay for something that does something similar for a WinMo phone when I feel I have the superior product in the first place.
Given that ClearChannel has it's database of these local stations and their Streaming IDs online, it should be quite simple for a handy programmer to retrieve that list and build it into an app that utilizes perhaps WMP.

XM Radio on HTC Incredible

I've recently got my HTC incredible and I LOVE IT!!!!
I also have a bluetooth enabled car radio....so my fav thing to do while driving is stream internet music.
I have an xm radio subscription and don't want to pay the extra monthly fee to use the SiriusXM radio android app
I've had some luck with using ORB.com and streaming on my phone, but sometimes at the login to mycast.orb.com the web browsers (sky fire, dolphinHD and default web browser) get stuck in a http/https endless loop and it locks up my machine running orb.
anyone have a good app or ideas on how I can fix the endless loop?
btw, I did download the SiriusXM radio and it works fine, but one it's streaming using the lower bitstream and two it cost extra
thanks community....
As far as I know, if you use any of the smart phone apps then you only have to pay for the SiriusXM web streaming. ($2.99 on top of any Satalight Package) As I already had XM streaming no where did it ask for more money.
If you are using an XM or Sirius App on a feature phone, then you have to pay a fee to your cellphone company.
thanks for the replay....
right....i'm trying to avoid the extra fee. On my WinMo phone i had found a good app, but I think ultimately it comes down to android not supporting the WMA stream format which listen.xmradio.com is streaming in. In fact, as of couple months ago, the stream stopped on my Win7 comp
Hopefully someone in the community will come up with a solution.
XM ON Droid Incredible
Orb, and siriusxmstreamer. This is how I stream Howard Stern to my droid(s).
do you by pass or how did you fix the http/https login loop?
When I can get into orb, it works fine, but most of the time I get stuck in the login loop.
I used siriusxmstreamer to orb on my backflip without issue.
But I thought that is you have access to SiriusXM the website then you get Smart Phone streaming for free.
AKA If you pay for web streaming you can access it on iPhone, Blackberry and Andorid for free.
You only pay extra if you have a dumb phone with the XM app on the phone from the carrior. The you are paying the carrior, not XM.
so I found a solution that I think is better than Orb
XM Tuner + TVersity
XMturner has a tab under configuration to TVersity, so they work really well with each other.
I'm having tversity transcode the stream and broadcast it as MP3 and using Xiialive lite to play it on my incredible.
