XDA orbit - General Topics

Hello guys,
Just wanted to check if anyone know how to add pause while dialing no which has suppose extension no or specific option directly.
example
0870xxxxx PAUSE 1
This will dial the no and press 1 automatically.
Thanks

Due to that problem, I've been in contact with HTC and O2 Germany.
O2 says that it isn't possible.
HTC says it works if you will put a 'p' into the number. e.g. +4917955222p5 for the o2xda service hotline.
I've tried it,
also +4917955222w5
and +4917955222,5
but the orbit stops dialing always after the last '2'
O2XDA Orbit RomVersion 1.25.207.1GER RadioVersion 02.67.90 ProtokollVersion 4.1.13.28 ExtRomVersion 1.25.207.101
perhaps it works with other radio versions?
any idea?

incoming call - MDA shows only number not contact name

Hello everyone, got this problem since I had MDA II, now I have MDA Compact and the problem still remains:
SOMETIMES, when I have an incoming call, there is only number showed, even if the contact is saved in my contacts. The name appears after a few seconds sometimes, sometimes after answering the phone, but sometimes is visible only after hanging the call up in call history. It's like if MDA is too busy to find the matching name and show it :?
I have about 350 items in contacts and approx. 3 records at each item.
Does anyone has any solution?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Happened to me on the XDA2 and now on XDA2i from time to time.
I personally think the caller ID software they've licenced on the XDA is a pile of [email protected], but there you go.
Cheers

I'm also suspecting the Caller ID application as the reason. Is there anyone without caller ID having the same problem? THX a lot.
i have the same problem with pda2k

T-Mobile rom - Caller unknown message while number is in adress book

Hi all,.. (excuse me for my bad English)
Recently I extended my NL T-Mobile contract, and bought a MDA Vario IV.
I synchronized my address book with my outlook. When some one calls me, and in the display the number is shown with a land number, Like +31555555555555, and the number in my outlook is 06555555555, it doesn't recordnise the outook contact. It then will only show the message caller unknown.
Does anyone has the same problem?
Regards
A.
Install .Net 3.5, Install Advance config, and set the number recognition to 8 instead of 11. That fixes it.
Next time please search before asking, as this has been covered several times already...

Cant make calls starting with +

hi,
I bought a new t5388i clone for HTC touch diamond2 made in Taiwan.the OS is windows 6.5. Problem is that i cant make calls to any number starting with +91(india country code) or with + to any country. it says number is not valid . i have to manually replace + sign with 0 to make the call every time.
I cant also receive message from the service numbers like banks.
What can i do to fix this?
Yes, known problem for T5388++ and T5388i phones.
Short story: Use Magicall to convert the +, no solution for the banking TAN codes, sorry.
Long story, read this thread.
Edit: +xx is solved with the April 16 radio here
config
ok, thank u

[Q] can't dial numbers with +(country code) prefix - HTC Diamond 2 (WM6.5)

Help...
I have my whole phone book in outlook set with international prefix dialing codes (for ex. Israeli numbers are stored +972).
I had no issues dialing in the past on my HTC Tytn. I upgraded the phone to Diamond 2 (WM 6.5), and I cannot dial anymore numbers that begin with "+".
for ex +972-9-xxxxxxx is replied with a voice message from the operator "the number you dialed is not in the system", while dialing 00-972-9-xxxxxxx does work.
where is the "+" translated to the international dialing code in Israel "00")?
You can use 00 instead of +.
+3630..... is the same like 003630.....
thanks Adolf.
Yes I can use 00, but this is OK for calls initiated from Israel. In the US I need 011.
I am also getting the phonebook from an exchange server with the "+" already in the number. Editing hundreds of numbers is not something I am looking forward to...
As my old Tytn did dial the "+" sign with no issues, I know this is possible.
Does anyone knows how to make the "plus code dialing" tab appear under the phone settings? For some reason, all I see under network services is:
"Call Forwording" (Typo in original text)
"Call Waiting"
"Message Center"
I do not have the "plus dialing" item...
Any ideas?
where in WM6.5 registry do I edit the "+" dialing options?
I use the attached registry file to dial using the plus code while in the U.S. Hope it works for you. I received the settings from here. I have an HTC Imagio running Energy Sense 2.5 CHT ROM.
thanks.
What OS where u using? I think it works for 6.0/6.1 but not for 6.5

HTC Prophet

Hey guys/gals
Appologies if this is in the wrong forum.
I have just bought a spv m600 off ebay and have a few questions for you guys.
(i have spent several hours searching here and google for answers to no avail)
The phone is unlocked and has a cooked rom on it.
WM 6.1
Rom Version 7.0.0.7 WWE
Rom Date 7/05/08
Radio Version 02.47.21
Protocol Version 4.1.13.24
ExtROM Version VincentROM(ENG)
1) The ringtone volume is ok but the message alert volume is woefully low, The phone volume is at max and i have tried various reg tweaks/fixes but they made no difference so any ideas there would be greatfully recieved.
2) If i use my voda/orange sims i have no issues but if i use my t-mobile payg sim the phone seems to think i am roaming, Is there a reg tweak to fix this?
3) On the sms screen for both writing and reading texts there is a massive envelope image watermarked onto the background, (don't know who thought that would be a good idea but its right in the way and a pain in the ass), Any way to remove it? (no option in any of the settings so i'm guessing it requires a file replace but which one?)4) I used the HTC network config wizard to setup my t-mobile payg gprs/mms settings and it works fine however when i recieve a mms it adds the international code +44 to the senders number so i don't know who it came from unless i compare the rest of the number to my contacts list.(i know i could fix this by replacing the leading 0 with +44 on all my contacts but i would rather not do this). Could this be related to question 2?
Many thanks for any help you can give, and sorry for all the questions.
I realise its and old phone and many of you may consider it not worth fixing but it is to me as i really like it. (have had a LOT of HTC phones and aside from the s700 this is my fave)
Just flashed WM6.5.3 COM3 Build 23129 WWE bikertibi edition and all issues except #2 are fixed.
