Hi I have a old Toshiba satellite 4030 cdt laptop running windows xp home edtion(version 2002) with service pack 1.It has a celeron proccessor.Anyway im tryin to install active sync 4.5(need the newest one cause i have a wm6 8125) and it gets about have way through then says :
"Error.There is a problem with this windows installer package.A DLL required for install to complete could not be run.Contact your support personnel or package vendor"
Does any one no witch dll i need or wat i need to do?thanx in advanced
updating windows would prob fix it

SO.. Not sure where to post this but..
Anyone have any luck running the upgrade rom utility with ms vista beta ?
I installed on my laptop and it will not let the rom upgrade utility find the phone.. it finds it when its plugged in a loads up the new " sync "..

it being beta the support is bound to be lacking
think it wise if one want to play with it
to dualboot with xp or another stable os
it may be possible if you run the upgrade exe in xp compatiblity mode, i will not reccomend that because vista is still in beta stage and the results of this may trash your device.
I'm planning to buy a qtek s200.
Did anyone tryed to upgrade the rom using vista - i've read that active sync won't work with Vista.
In my opinion "Vista" do not require Activesync as it has some builtin system.

it does not work,use the shearch funtion in the forum,there is allredy several threads asking the same thing.
Only on Vista 32 bit imho...
The upgrade software does not work correctly with any version of Vista, so if you want to brick your device try it
Vista has a new Mobile Device Center that replaces activesync. Don't try to upgarde with Vista. I maintain an old notebook as spare running XP just for flashing purposes. Or install XP on a different partition and flash from there.
i was trying to install windows 7 on hd2 when it installed magldr 113 on the set and restart i dissconnect the usb from the computer and now its does not working ,.... how i can go back to 6.5 or wm7 plz help me my set is totally useless at this time
Hi, i,m new on this page but i want to ask you to help me with a problem.
When i try to install the HTC sync manager software on my pc it show me an error during the instalation that said"This program requires the file advrcntr5.dll, wich was not found on this system" my pc has windows seven ultimate x64 with the latest update, i tried uninstall and reinstall the software, i've downloaded the latest software from HTC web page and i still have the same problem.
if you need any adicionall information let me know.

apparently Microsoft has removed the download link to this program and i figured if there was anyone in the world could have a copy of this program it would be one of the people here
