i want to save my data ( like msgs and call logs etc. ) faster

i want to save my data like messages and call logs faster so i can reset my phone whenever i want !
im using wm6 and i thing its too slow ! and when i resdet my phone ive lost some of my last messsages and call logs !
any guide ?!

you should use pim backup

no mannnn !!! i mean AUTOSAVE , comes from OS !
you know what i mean ?!
look when a messages comes to your pda , it goes to inbox ! if you reset your phone , after rebooting that message is gone !
Bcuz your phone did not REMEMBER that message !

Are you doing hard reset..or soft reset... cause unless you're doing hard reset I don't understand why your message would be gone.... I don't know why you'd want to do hard reset that often.
But, I use PIM Backup... I'll attach it below... it's not even an installation.
It's just executable that you execute..
Great thing about this is, you can schedule it to run everyday.. so, at worst you only loss a day worth of data.
Also, it backs up bunch of other stuff besides messages... like contacts, call history, and emails.. stuff.

oh , bcuz i dont have these problems on my wm5 !
this is the reason that i post them hear !
and about PPC backup , its not about hard reset , its about soft reset !
as you know , when a message comes , phone keeps it in inbox but it will save it after minutes !
i want to save them faster

I don't understand this at all. If I get an SMS and IMMEDIATELY do a soft reset, the SMS is still in my inbox when the phone reboots. I just tried this and it works. There is no "data loss" as you claim. The only way you lose messages that come in is if you hard reset (and then you lose everything).
So I don't understand why you think you lose messages. And as you said, its just like it was on WM5.
Again, I just tested this. I had my daughter send me an SMS. As soon as I got notified (and without going to read it) I did a soft reset on my phone. When my phone rebooted, her message was still sitting in my Inbox.
If I misunderstood what you are asking for, then can you tell me how to reproduce what you are seeing (and be detailed. Your fast posts with little information are hard to understand at times).

actually im using your rom , XDA mobile r2a , great rom man ... i have not change it after i flashed it
look , i test that too , but look , if you dont read the message , phone keeps it and it save it and i dont know why !
but if you read it , 2 happening occurs after soft reset :
1) the message will be gone
2) it will be there but its unread
you see ? its like when you are writing sth in the MS Word , and you reset your pc , your document may be save or not at that moment , cuz word save it on periodic-specific time ... so it could be saved or not !
i have this problem with messaging too !
some times i soft reset it and i will have my unread messages that i've read them 5 minutes ago ... ( its the good part )
and the bad part is sometimes i lost those !
but if i soft reset after several minutes ( around a quarter ) , i will have them like when i was going to soft reset
after all , im sorry for my bad english !

I'm thinking that this might be happening because you're using the pin hole to soft reset. Use the power button on the top to shut it down and then reboot, unless your locked up for some reason, and that will probably stop happening. have someone send you an sms and then reset it that way and see if it still happens.

i think that will help , but it seems that most of people dont have this problem , even with holding stylus in the hole

Think of your wizard as a PC, using the power buton is like clicking start and then shutdown and using the reset hole is like pulling the plug while it's still on. Somethings bound to get lost if you pull the plug and usually does. You should really only use the reset hole if your phone is locked and you can't use the power button (that's why they make the hole so small )

yeah , you're right ! using power botton does not do that !
but why most of people do the stylus and the hole thing , without any problem ?! :-s

Contact list wont load?

Hi everyone i know im new here.
just been a nosey person before checking in on whats happening.
i decided to flash my MDA Vario. ive tried two different packages now.
Core_2.0n
XM6r3
but on both of them i get the same problem, my contact list wont load.
if i hit contacts it goes to load and shuts it again, i dont understand why?
would anyone care to share some light on the subject, or even better
have a solution lol !! i dont really wana go back to WM5 now.. but
not being able to add numbers, or get into my contacts is rather anoying!

Did you backup your contacts before upgrading and then restored back to your phone again after upgrading ?

By backup, I hope you mean via activesync?

no i didnt make a backup .. at all. do i need to make some kind of backup then to get the contacts menu to work???
as i cant even access the menu it goes to load but shuts itself ?

Oh dude, just hard reset your device. It'll be fine.

did you install pocketcm?
does your sms inbox still work?

ive tried hardreset... no difference.
yes my sms inbox works fine, this was with pocketCM and normal contacts list.

just go into the file explorer go to my device look for the pim file and rename it. then soft reset your device. it should work after that

does it matter what i should rename it to ?.... ?

i renamed the pim file to "c" soft reset... and HEY presto it works thank you everyone.

Please people i need your help and yours knowledge... I'm really tired of not receive all sms's! I use an qtek s200! I'm a busyness man, and i for my work i need sms... So i really need your help... i have installed all the roms and all the radios on my pda... an whats up with my pda? They dont receive all the sms... I have installed batary plugin to count the sms's and i note i'm not receiving some sms's some sms's stay by the way.... But the most interessant is when i conect the pda to pc, and i conect jeyo mobile, i receive all sms's... This is really strange.... so whats is the big problem? Please, can you help-me please? :/ Any software to resolve this? :/ I really apreciate your help!

This really is a strange problem. I remember a ROM that didn't let me receive any SMS either, what I did was try another ROM and it worked. You've mentioned you've done this so I have no other suggestion apart from maybe going back to the original ROM.

Windows Mobile 6(BlackDia3.1) hangs up on startup.Is there any way to save contacts?

My device Qtek 9100 was updated to Black Diamond 3.1. It was working great, until once tel. hang up when works, after restart it hangs up and after that never start.I throw that f tel somewhere on shelves for some time, but now i really need contacts and sms from it
Is any way to start tel in safe mode and safe contacts?

I did full reset. Device has started succesfully.
Now im trying to find something to recover after format.
Does somebody know where are files which contain sms and contacts?

There could leave some fragments from contact files *.vcf, *.arc after format. That is what i want to get.

Help! Problem with windows mobile 6.5

I am repeatedly facing the following problem.
When a call arrives, the contact pops up on the screen almost immediately, but it takes around 5 or 6 rings from the callers end for me to hear the ring on my phone.
Eg. You call me and i will see your name on my screen but it will seem for you as if i picked your call only after 6 rings, but only then my phone rings!! HELP me a lot of people are complaining that i am not picking the call immediately due to this...
Never faced this problem in wm 6.1 or earlier versions.
Somebody kindly assist me

I had the same problem. I think it happened when the screen was locked.
It got better after upgrading to a 23001 build.
Which build do you have on your phone?

I even tried TPC Elite prior to that!
And yes u r right i think it happens when screen is locked. Even otherwise i think it happens.

Weird... I use the same ROM and this is the FIRST ROM where I don't have this problem.
(I tried many 6.5 ROMs before and with all of them I had this Problem)

Hey it aint fair, nobody answers my question anywhere (( If only anyone can answer this.

Maybe it's becoz you are running some software that is not compatible with WM65. Like some builds of MS Voice Command. But you have to sort it out by yourself.
Edit: The way to find problem apps for your ROM:
Backup all your data;
Hard reset;
Install your apps one by one;
Every time after installed a new soft, soft reset, and check the problem occurs or not, if not, install next one, soft reset and check again, until you got the problem occured again.
Then you know it's the last installed app crashes with something. (Maybe not crash with the ROM, but other apps installed before it. To sort this out, you have to change the sequence of cab install and test again. For example, after already know the probs app, hard reset and only install this see what happen.)
What if you did not find it until installed last app? Congratulations, you already solved the problem.
This is the most foolish(time consuming) way, but it works on most cases for probs sorting.
Edit2: BTW, last time when I have similiar probs as yours, by using above-mentioned method, I sorted it out that it was caused by MSVC. (Edit3: Also if my memory is still correct, another badass for WM6.5 maybe the WM6.5 lockscreen,)

What radio are you using? Did you change radios and see if that makes a difference?
