Mabe this will be considered stupid by some folks, but I really am out of ideas, so here it goes:
Does anybody know if it's possible and if it is, HOW to put the "Start" button in the lower left corner ? And also make the Start Menu to extend from bottom to the top, like in windows ?
I want to implement this on my first rom...and I don't like to change my mind/plans
Any info is much apreciated.
Thx

I have mine now in the lower righthand corner, which is also nice.
How do I get text to turn 180 degrees (lol)
**I don't think it's possible without the help of a additional app like Wisbar. But still the idea is not bad.
I used Wisbar, and from what I remember, it will not move the start bar at the buttom. Only thing that it does is that it overrights the start and replace it with it's own aplication....or something like that. It doesn't modify the actual start bar.
How did you get yours in the lower right corner ?

Use Wisbar Advanced Desktop for moving your start-button anywhere.

Thx man, unfotrunately that won't work for me gotta think of something else
It's possible to move the start button wherever you want, if you're really dedicated. I wrote an app to do it many years ago, but I had limited use for the app in that form. It turned into VJToggleToday.

Thanks but I thought an Iphone.cab like Tyn one.
I'm newbis and it's seems so difficult for me to install it
And i am french
Oh I dunno about any iPhone themes.. Personally, I dont like the way the iPhone looks.. I prefer making my own themes via WAD and WA2
You can see here the Tyn one:

Ok, I was very curious to see if it would work on a wizard. It seems to, but it's kind of slow. I haven't really configured it though.
It definately works.. I just installed it, heres some screen shots..

I have to figure out how to get the phone button to work.. but other than that.. it's great
It runs a LITTLE slow, not to bad though, and you can close it by tapping the battery icon.
So this will make your phone look like the iphone? does it work with WM5?
It made my phone look like the iphone, the good thing is its an application so u can close it out.. it should work with WM5.. I dont see why it wouldn't..
So does it work well, like is it slow or fast and is it buggy and stuff?
Its a little choppy... I dont overclock, so.. maybe it's better if you overclock.. the only choppy thing is when you select a program it takes a couple seconds for all the icons to disappear...

you can change that in the Config app, just click right soft button in the app, go to settings, then i believe pop up or something like that, the 3rd one down, then scroll the bar al lthe way to the left and hit set and you'll be good! Also, if you look in the orignal iphone theme thread or one of the threads that listed the numerous parts of the .cab, you can activate the phone by linking it to a cprog.exe file and it'll work fine especially for the dial pad not lining up correctly otherwise pretty nice, especially if overclocked
btw
i'm using a tmobile wing/ herald
Do you have to setup the buttons manually or does it do it automatically? Plus what is the issue with the dialpad? and can u just use the regular interface if this one doesnt work?
Ok I just installed it to my storage card? what do i do know, nothing came up and i dont have anything in my programs folder to launch?
Do a soft reset
it is ok for me to install it to the storage card right? or does it have to be device memory? because after installing it, my phone is not loading after a soft reset its stuck at the splash screen.
Install it to the device.
ok i uninstalled it from my memory card and im gonna reinstall it to the device memory. Maybe that will work. cause when i installed it to the memory card a lot of the icons and shortcuts didnt work.
Alright most stuff is working, but when i click phone it doesnt come up? how can i fix this. i read the earlier post but dont get what it means. Also is there a way to make the 24hr clock to a 12hr clock?
Hi
Last time a was out driving I found out that when I placed my mobile on my mobile on the dashboard it works as a Head up display With some tweaking it works perfect as a speedometer and speed camera warning(using tom tom), but I need to find a application that can invert my display. I tried searching, but with no results. Does someone know about a application that could help me with this?
Search better.......
There are tons of these apps....You could also do that using a simple Mortscript file.... Or maybe using a particular task manager (anyone, except the winmo one, has this feature...)
Next time follow the link on my signature.....

I missed something.....
I'm just curious... Why you want invert your screen?

Because when I put the mobile in the dash and the display shines in the windscreen it gets inverter. So i get a bit har to read everything backwards.

Think the OP is actually looking for something to create a mirror image of his display, as opposed to just inverting the colours.

Sounds like it yes! Someone?
Sounds like an awesome idea. I have never heard of software possible of doing this, but at the very least I understand what you mean. You want to invert the image, not the colour (text = txet) so it appears correctly in a mirror image (or a car windscreen).
I will keep an eye out, as it should be possible, though I haven't seen anything yet.
just asking, why don't you just use a windshield (or any other kind) mount for all what you want? why go into all this trouble?
Because a windshield mount is all "in your face". Using the reflection is a lot more subtle and is just plain neat.
To those who didn't understand i took som pictures today, maybe someone would take the time to make this kind of program?
The picture are a bit fuzzy because it is nearly imposible to hold the camra steady for the five seconds it takes without i tripod. There are also two reflections from the windscreen, but it is easily readable in real life!

i'm interested in this as well... but just don't have any knowledge on how to do this. one alternative is to perahps add a mirror somewhere to invert the screen once prior to the windshield...
Hi, I've been looking for a while on how to hide the system tray located at the botton (not the menus but the tray that shows for example the activesync icon) and could not find some usable code yet, which works on every device, or on most of them. I know it can be done, because I use M2D and it completely hides it, but dont know how.
Does anyone know how this can be achieved on native code (C/C++) or whatever language you prefer?
Sorry if this thread is not for this section. If it should be moved please let me know, or move it
Oh and BTW, I'm not looking for an application to do this, I want it on my app, so please post code or registry changes, but dont post apps to achieve this.
Thanks!
As far as I know, the tray will disappear from itself once you have deleted/disabled all icons in it. Depending on what you want to achieve, that might be the easiest way...
+1 id like that!

Ok, never mind, fond a way to do it (at least on my omnia) =D
This should do the trick:
Code:
HWND dskHwnd = GetDesktopWindow();
HWND hwnd = GetWindow(dskHwnd, GW_CHILD);
HWND hwnd1 = GetWindow(hwnd, GW_CHILD);
ShowWindow(hwnd1,SW_HIDE);

Indeed the tray dissapears when there are no icons to display. How can i disable the TomTom7 icon when TomTom is minimised? The icon causes a vertical scroll bar on my today screen and don't want that.
I was looking for a general solution, I wanted to completely hide the tray, no mater what icons it has, and as far as I know that's what the code I posted on my previous post does
you can close/hide whole tray WINDOW with task manager 3.x(NOT htc ****ty app), BUT it will leave empty, unusable space, so until someone will write soft to hide traywindow with corrrected today space size...nothin can be done.
also - it may collide with nueonobar, and other ones.

well, this is true, but rather useless method(any icon that appears will show tray, again)..

Please close this thread, I already have the sollution I was looking for. Thanks!

anyone out there? I'll try searching for it in the registry, if only i know where to start
First off, I don't know why you'd even ask for this. It's a tiny burst of vibration that happens only once when you power up the device, and that's it. There's no harm in it and I can't see a genuine reason for wanting it gone since it happens so rarley.
Secondly, you can't get rid of it. It's part of the self-diagnostic that runs when you switch on the device. If you did find a way to stop it (and I'm 99.9999999999999999999% sure you won't) then the phone would probably think there was a problem and not boot.
You're gonna have to live with it mate.

I was also looking for a solution to this problem.
You asked, why one should wish to deactivate this little vibration on startup...well, quite simple:
My HD2 performs its system backups every night, while it is in its cradle beside my bed. I am using SPB Backup which does a warm reset after finishing its operation. It's really not very funny to wake up every night, only because there is this "little" vibration during the boot up process.
If you are a user of a genuine HTC ROM, there is even an additional little melody playing after vibrating, which is still more uncomfortable! Only for this reason, I just reflashed my HTC ROM back to a Vodafone ROM (which only has the vibration).
I think, it would really be a good idea, If someone found a tweak to suppress the boot up vibration!

I love my nexus 5 but UIs that require me to touch the top left of the screen are hard to reach. Is there any way to apply a per app hack where the top bar can be stretched or maybe lowered? I appreciate I won't be using all of the screen but it will be worth it for a few specific instances e.g. gmail and hangouts.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying your problem is. Everything should be adjustable per your preferences by default. Maybe you can elaborate in more detail.
Had this issue with my Samsung note 2... One of the reasons I bought the nexus 5 is it fits my hands and my thumb can reach the entire screen. This doesn't answer your question but it was my solution to this problem.

Your picture actually did a great job of explaining what you meant to say. I understand now.
Silly question/statement, but do you know that pressing the "Back" arrow in most cases such as that should take your back to where you were. Most often, that specific option like you displayed, that you can't reach, can be activated the same way by hitting the back button.
There are however, plenty of apps and situations where you need to hit an option in the top left corner and the back button will NOT do this action. I have big hands and have gotten used to being able to tap something on any section of my screen.
You could try installing a mod/app to enable custom gestures in which you can swipe a gesture towards the right and set it to that function. (ex: gesture enabled when you swipe from the center of the right towards the middle, it activates a "back" option.
You can try installing "GMD Gesture Control" for this.
Just a suggestion?
Thanks for your reply! I didn't realise the back button could cater for some of these scenarios. I also didn't realise I could swipe from the left for a lot of these apps. This caters for most of the scenarios so I'm happy now, thanks!
Grabbing anywhere on the left edge of the screen and sliding right does the same as pressing the icon up high. Same goes go for play store.
good day.
