I need to know what the original registry was of this folder... - Palm Treo 750

I did the mod where the "E-mail" left softkey can be modified to also include the SMS application.
I also installed a file in my windows folder (SoftKey) which allows editing the softkeys on WM5 devices.
Problem is, I want to revert to the way my Treo was before I made these changes. Yea... I could hard reset or install an old backup... but I've made so many changes since then. (timewise, it's faster to re-edit my registry)
I just need to know what the original registry has in the following location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Softare/Microsoft/Today/Keys/112
I'm guessing it was:
(Default) (value not set)
Open.A1Backup Calender.exe
Open.A1Replaced 0x1(1)
Thank you to anyone that can help

mine was never changed but I have:
(Default) Calender
Open Calender.exe

Thanks for that information Carl

Alter Java VM on SDA

I'm using the tmobile (US) SDA2. I'm wondering if I can change the Java Virtual Machine. The JVM that ships on the default ROM is decent - at best.
For instance, I can run google maps, but I can't edit the font size. It's quite annoying that I have to squint to read the tiny font. I know it's related to the JVM, as my buddy has the 2125 using a different JVM - his fonts are definitly larger.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Ok, I determined that my SDA has the Tao Inent JVM.
Does anyone know if I can make the fonts larger? Especially in GLM?
Thanks!
I found that the new font (upgraded ROM) was just terrible. I resolved this on my handset by going to the following key and renaming it:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tao\intent\conf\sys\font
(So, on my handset, I renamed "font" to "jfont".)
There is another key under sys. I don't remember if I added it, or it was already there. (Sorry, I'm on my Mac, and I don't have the registry backup I created to check.) In any event, here is what I have for the values under that key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tao\intent\conf\sys\ui\midp\vnd\font\
alttextfont
STRING monotype.com,16
labelfont
STRING andale,16,bold
size
STRING 16
stringfont
STRING andale,16
I remember I did this because the updated ROM changed the font size to something so small, it was almost useless for me.
Joel
awesome - i'm off to try it now.
thanks !!
unfortunately, i coulnt find the reg settings =(
using resco, which i'm sure is reading the registry correctly....
FYI - Runtime Version MIDP 2.0:v10.1.7.542
Is there a way I can remove this one and the install a new version?
thanks!!
Which settings aren't there? I'd only be conerned if the first set of settings (the one I said to rename) weren't there.
I may have added the others based on a compare I did with my older ROM's registry settings.
My version is 2.0: v10.1.7.546
It's hard to imagine that they wouldn't be there.
what the heck...
This is weird. I just triple checked - I still dont have those RegKeys..
Hmm. What Rom/Phone are you using? I'm on the stock TMob SDA2.
Thanks!

PDAMobiz ROM, Omapclock and Battery Bar conflicts

Hello folks,
Help from some gurus please.
I'm running the PDAMobiz 1.0.2 ROM on my XDA Neo. Runs great. The only problem is that Omapclock seems to be set at 240 which ocassionaly crashes the system. So I want to set it to a lower value - can't figure out how.
I went and installed Battery Bar and used it's Omap clock setting to set at 221. Now everytime my machine is on from standby (not a cold start), the speed shows as 260. One tap brings it to 221 and another to 195.
Suggestions on how PDAMobiz configured Omapclock to start up everytime? If I can find that out, I can edit the settings to change the clock speed.
Many thanks,
Thamizha
Copy file \Windows\smartkey.ini to another place to backup.
edit file smartkey.ini with notepad at PC.
Look for
OMAPCLOCK=240
You can assign another value such as 216.
Then File > Save as
Check at Encoding, you must choose "Unicode".
Copy smartkey.ini back to \Windows.
Soft reset, that's it.
By the way, new version of AKU2.3 for prophet is comming soon (keep watching at www.pdamobiz.com), but do not try beta test rom (http://www.pdamobiz.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=68461&PN=1)
thanks a lot for this info
Thanks for this information, Chan.
I appreciate it.
with regards,
Thamizha

NOW: you can set cab files to the true icon (package for your Kitchen) and others

hi to all
thanx to all developers here (there are alot so i cant count all of them )
here is a package ready to use which is make cab icons to the true icons.
if you have alot of cab files in the storage you will note that it is very slow in scrolling down, so if you put the package it will make them with the origional icon which make the scrolling very fast
Test it and you will note that
(a little built from me)
also this is Contacts Manager Package
also this is Contacts Manager Package
which is enable select all the contacts an beam or delete all together
anoher useful package
SMSDRFIX
which is match number in the sms to the conact name
SoftKey Changer
it is known from the most, its cpl which is used to change the soft keys
BT_FTP
BT_FTP enables to share folders using bt
maybe you have it but somebody else dont
((ALL THE PACKAGES TESTED))
registry package which associate reg files to TaskManager
registry package which associate reg files to TaskManager
if you have pandora's kitchen and add task manager to edit reg files, you noticed it wasn't associated with the reg files and most do it manualy, so you can associate them directly with this package
also the same with PIM Packup, you can associate all pim backup files directly to PIM Packup
and POCKET RAR the same
((YOU MUST ADD TASKMANAGER, PIM BACKUP, AND POCKET RAR FIRST))
make your roms better and smarter

Making Registry Hacks Stick

I have an HTC Ozone running a stock ROM.
I am trying to modify some icons in some of the HTC CHome plug-ins.
I change the value for the icons in the registry to the path of the icon I want.
After a soft reset the icons I pointed to appear briefly but soon revert back to the originals, and when I check the registry the values are back to the original as well.
This only appears to happen in the registry key \HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome
Other icons entries are in the key \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome and the changes I make there stick without any problem.
Is there a way to change this behavior?
Try looking @ hklm/security/CHome as well. Some stock settings are backed up there, and I believe they'll over-write your changes on re-boot.
Zdoes the Ozone run the CMGuardian service? I know my Imagio does and it needs to be disabled in order for manual registry changes to stick.

What is this, and how do I disable it?

The only entries for any of the HTC plug-ins in that location are a "GUID" entry

I don't have the \HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome registry keys; are you on a stock rom or something? Nor do I have any of the HTC plugins. I guess you could try to delete the reg keys in the security branch of the registry (back them up first in case this doesn't work so well). Then put in your paths where you normally do it and soft reset.

Bad registry - Manila 2.1 not starting

Hi,
I was trying to remove my location from the home screen on my Diamond 2 Stock 6.5 and I've edited the registries in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila I've removed on of the cities and now manila is not starting.
Can someone give the exported registry of the Manila so that I can fix it.
Thanks.
P.S.
===
I was stupid enough to not make a backup
P.P.S.
====
I need the default registries !!!
EDIT: I've fixed it...
just changed it to that:
"Weather.CityList"="EUR|NL|NL008|AMSTERDAM,EUR|NL|NL010|UTRECHT,EUR|NL|NL006|MAASTRICHT,EUR|NL|NL007|EINDHOVEN,EUR|NL|NL007|TILBURG"
and it is working again
Here's mine but I have weather server overwritten to Conflippers weather fix.
You may have to hard reset to get it back.
Also, I am on 2.5 but the registries are just about the same.
