Hi guys, I want to update my XDA II device with WM5, but just wanted to know if there is different versions of it , and if so what is the latest version to get

read all the threads on buzzdev.net and make your choice... personally I like 1.60a with 31mb ps memory.

I have 1.60B .... om my Qtek 2020 and there will be a 1.60C version by next week.

WM 6.1 German ROM ?

Hy guys,
i'm new with the whole custom rom thing, and i am searching a GERMAN 6.1 ROM with the HTC applications.
is there already a german version ?

Yes i'm looking for a german version too. But i think as long as some providers don't release a german 6.1 Rom we need to translate an english one.

They were looking for a WM6.1 ROM the ROM you pointed out is WM6
There is no official WM6.1 ROM for the Herald/Wing out yet, not even in English.

Well... too bad though.
Maybe should've had a closer look

Have been given a HP514 must say I do like the phone and has convinced me to buy a WM phone in the future..
Anyway does anyone know of a newer rom than whats on the HP site or indeed a wm6.5 rom????

Thank you for your reply... Only one problem.... I don't read russian!!! So I don't know what the difference is between the wm6.1 on the site ond the update on hp site.. Also is the rom only in russain?
Finally where was the 6.5 version??

update on hp site is NOT WM 6.1, it`s only WM 6 update!! And the WM 6.1 is absolutely new version of windows mobile. The WM 6.1 rom is also in english.
Excuse me for me english, I meant WM 6.5 is now developing.

Will my back up files work ok when restored if I upgraded?
Whats new with this rom?

Actually I don`t now exactly about back up... You better copy all your data to PC.
The most news in WM 6.1 is CHome with its advantages
The rom is good-stable, not worst then WM 6

Well have download the file and update util from site but it will not let me update etc stating the following:
Code 203: Update is Incompatible
This version of the iPAQ update utility is incompatible with your iPAQ. Please obtain the correct updatev and try again.
This update: SKU ID: FA906AA#ABC
Your Device: SKU ID: FA908AT#ABB
My phone is as stated HP514 With WM6 ver 2.05.02 English rom(am from UK)
any ideas as to how to sort this prob out???

The project of WM 6.1 is commercial, so you must pay for the FULL rom 10$, BUT if you don`t need Wi-Fi and Bluetooth you can use absolutely working LITE version. There are ONLY Wi-fi and BT non-working!
You can download LITE version here (from site), or here - ifolder.ru
And THE MOST IMPORTANT NOTICE: Update your device only from 2.05 russian rom!!! Another way your phone will be broken!!!

You are wrong! If you think that in About wrote WM6 - it not mean you have updated WM6! This WM 6.5 has Titanium, new dialogs and menu, and it`s impossible to update WM6 to any other WM.

I use the "AllmostOfficial 2 Lite", but ...

I use the "AllmostOfficial 2 Lite" on my Qtek 9000 with 64 MB. It is identical
with XDA Exec, HTC Universal, MDA Pro, ...
It works, but my english is worse than bad, so i look for a German WM 6.5
Rom for my Device. Can please someone show me where i can find it?

Download a ROM is WWE and then change to German in the regional settings
