Hi, I'am using WM6 and TCPMP version 0.71. When I play movie some time the picture is freezing but the sound is OK. Before upgrade to WM 6.0 everythink was OK. But with same film, freeze problem under WM 6.0.
Any idea?
I had CorePlayer v1.04 running smoothly on WM6. Try upgrading to that
>_> Coreplayer isn't free software, and who knows what happened to Betaplayer. The bad thing about upgrading is that your free apps sometimes don't follow suit.
And anyway Coreplayer have not all codecs that TCPMP 0.72 had. So it maybe prettier-looking, but have less functionality.
They've removed "licensed" codecs (or something like that).

Some people are having issues getting WMV9 in TCPMP working with WM6, particularly those of us who are trying to use TCPMP with Orb and are getting a nasty WMV9/WMA9 not supported error. This is because WM6 includes newer versions of the WMV and WMA codecs, which are named differently than WM5's codecs. Orb does work with WMP Mobile 10 and Conduits Pocket Player, but the video is incredibly jerky for some reason which I haven't been able to nail down yet, and I doubt I'll look into the matter anymore now that this works.
The fix is simple...just drag the old WM5 codecs into your Windows/ directory and reinstall TCPMP. After that, you should be able to use TCPMP to watch your orb stream (Windows asx stream on Orb 2.0).
I've included the codecs here in this post. This fix was tested using the Most Beautiful ROM. Let me know if it works for the other ROMs.
Doc
Thanks for the fix files!
Isn't Orb fricken awesome? Especially for free!!! www.orb.com
Funny, I just found out that I had this problem and here you are... thanks.. Just goes to show the powers of this forum..
Thanks!
Thank You! =)
Now I can watch my news streams again which the crap Windows Media "Player" couldn't play! I don't think you have to reinstall TCPMP though, I just copied the dll files and did a soft reset (probably necessary) and everything works. If only there was a way to stop the 0.81 TCPMP from switching to portrait mode on launch then everything would be perfect...
Edit: just noticed this was a Wizard forum. This fix works with Universal WM6 as well (Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM Update 2.02.00 WWE).
Thank you very much doc_lee. I was going crazy trying to figure out why my TCPMP wasn't playing sound after I updated my Dash with WM6. Cheers!
Great fix!, it works again!
no soft reset, no reinstall!
Thanks bro!
oh thank you so much dude. it works now.

http://www.okias.wz.cz/tcpmp/files/language.tgz - copy this file to TCPMP folder(replace old), and WMA(only WMA) audio start working with TCPMP, WITHOUT COPYING ANY NEW .dll file but for WMV you must copy wmvdecoder.dll

Thanks!
Thank you very much for the codecs.
Very cool. I just put these in the /WINDOWS dir on my Alltel PPC 6800 and TCPMP plays WMV videos quite nicely now. Thanks! =)
Seems as though TCPMP does not work on WM 6.1 from what Ive seen/read.
Anyone get this working?
Same problem. Now i use "Coreplayer" V 1.2.5 / 4506 insted. Works fine...
Best regards
I've used coreplayer many htx devices on wm6.1. No problems here. Maybe a file error?
I use coreplayer and tcpmp on my kaiser (wm6.1), but 2 things I noticed about coreplayer is:
1. It doesnt play all .flv movies, any flv movies I save directly and try to play it just shows it as if it's loading, but there should be nothing to load.. it's already on my device!
2. Is there a way to view a playlist and add and remove files from the playlist? like on tcpmp you can just click playlist.. on coreplayer i cant find one! I found a "now playing" but wasnt able to add items.
This version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=380387 should work
Theres a good thread over in the Diamond section about video playback and some settings Sketchy found that work pretty well with WMP but corePlayer chokes and dies:

Hi,
Can someone help me where I can find the unzippped or unlocked free ware version of CorePlayer to download it for my WinMo 6.1?
Kindly help me in this regard...

HTC Touch Diamond2
Windows Mobile 6.1
well, i dont think it's available since coreplayer is not a freeware
i would suggest u to use TCPMP, it's free
you are correct
this is not free....you have to buy it
he is preferably asking for a pirated version..
forget about coreplayer, use tcpmp, CORRECT version...
I not asking for a complete pirated version, its only the fact that I need a good decent player in order to go ahead and play all the videos similar to what VLC Media Player does to our notebooks...
And yes... it should be a freeware
Can someone kindly share it here in this thread?
You're talking about tcpmp (the core pocket media player). There are many different tweaked versions. Search in the hackers forum, or go to the touch pro forum at ppcgeeks for a version that plays many different formats of video.

you need decent player, then as everyone told you - use tcpmp - coreplayer is not decent ;p it is step back.
I used to use tcpmp until I bought some bluetooth headphones. I found that I couldn't watch videos in tcpmp without the audio skipping, but it all worked fine when I downloaded a trial of coreplayer.
As far as I'm concerned, that made coreplayer far better and worth paying for.

mmm you know that Coreplayer is not freeware and what you are asking for is a cracked version, which is against the rules!
Try this instead or buy coreplayer : http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/

Alright, so I've been searching for a solution to my problem for about a week and couldn't find a solution. I looked everywhere including here, of course, and no luck. So I had to choice but to start a new thread.
I used to have the Tilt (TyTn II) which had the build-in real player (not real one player) and I was able to stream rtsp .rm video over wi-fi without any problems.
Now I upgraded to the Tilt 2 (WM 6.5) and I can't find the original real player which was on my Tilt. I tried Real One player that's available on Real's website which didn't work either.
I tried to install the CV media package (I think that's what it's called) by Cingular which is supposed to have real player with it but it wouldn't open on my phone.
I also tried the HTC streaming program but that doesn't the .rm protocol.
So does anyone know of a way to stream rtsp real media content on WM 6.5 phones?
I appreciate it and thanks in advance.
anyone?????
anyoneeeeee
Can you guide me a simple way to play FLV on my HD2
OS: WM 6.5
I tried TCPMP and link. doesn't work may be wrong version or wrong way
Give me the links if it works
TCPMP 0.72RC1 works pretty well (even reads Ogg Vorbis).
Look for a package containing all the necessary codecs for this version.
Some FLV can sometimes cause problems, though (not opening - though may works when retrying, freezing when trying to skip tracks, or run slowly or jerky), bout you'll prpbably have problem with those as well on you desktop PC.
There's also a free PPC version for Real One Player available.
On the other hand, I got rid of CorePlayer (always crashing and not free).
