Hello all. My Qtek 9100 had a button to invoke the Comm Manager. On my P3600, this button is gone. I now try to map CommManager.exe onto the voice recording button. The application commmanager.exe does exist in the Windows directory, but when I try to map it using the "Buttons" Control Panel, it does not show up in the list of available / mappable application.
Any hints?
Thank you, Stefan
stupid question
This question was stupid - sorry. I found the answer in one of the forums:
"Go to windows directory and you can find CommManager.exe file. Create a short cut and copy to "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" . Now Comm Manager will apear in your available programs list. No go to Settings --> Buttons and assign it to any button you want."
Thank you! Stefan

Hi all
I have an HTC P3400. I have recently installed the HTC PhonePad. Now I want to toggle between 2 input methods (Calligrapher for when both hands are available and HTC Phone Pad for when only one hand is available) at the press of a hardware button.
I figure if I could just get a way to add my input methods to my hardware buttons' available functions list in my Personal Settings -> Buttons page (like SPB does with many of their functions), it would be possible to do this.
Any ideas on how to get this done? Is there an app available to enable me to do this?
Regards
SipChange
Search for SipChange - it pops a dialog box and you can select the input method you want from that.
To switch directly to Transcriber, make a button shortcut to the transcriber exe file. I don't know how to do the same for PhonePad, sorry.
Use zenkinz's Sip Select
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289370
for phonepad and transcriber amongst others, use the attached lnk,
i use aebutton plus to get more buttons maps for phonepad switching

Thanks for the previous posts. I am unable however to download the zip file from the previous post. Could you post another link (a direct one or an off-site one) to this file? Or could anybody tell me how to download this?
Thanks
hello,
by default - holding the red phone-hangup button brings me to today-screen.
but in my case i don't use the windows mobile today screen at all! i installed pointui - as autostart.
i hardly have any reason to go to the today screen.
can't i change this behaviour somehow ? when i hold the red hangup-button i want to go "back" to pointui - not to today-screen.
in case there's no solution like that - is there at least some kind of today-plugin that could bring me back to pointui home ? maybe so alround-lauch-exe-plugin ?
by the way: i'm talking about WM2003SE!
thank you!
I'm sorry that I do not know the solution to the problem. Please, next time you post, do not make a misleading title (! instead of ?) in the wrong section.
If you can post your device i can tell you if you can use the Long_End.lnk trick.
I can then also move this thread to that device's Forum.
A good start would be to contact or check the PointUI website/forum to see if the home.exe accepts a parameter
(home.exe -h)
To return to the home screen
But the Long_end.lnk does not work on all devices.
Will put this into the general forum as Pointui does not have an active development thread here.
Attached you will find a shortcut file.
Change the .txt to .lnk then copy it to the windows directory on your device. Hold down the read Call Button and keep it pressed.
This may or may not work on your device.
But there was no information about your device or rom either in your signature or post which makes it hard to actually give a good answer to your question.

Click to collapse
Yeah magician i'm not sure if it has a rom that supports this function.
Touch, Kaiser and some others do. It's hardcoded to the Keyboard driver or keypad driver if i;m correct so i'm not sure it's use able in the Magician.
Oh BTW it should have been Long_End.lnk (Yup no subfolders)
But i have no other suggestion, maybe someone else has.
Hey people,
I've been googlin and checking this forum but I just cant seem to find how to move the icons in your Programs list (Start> Programs) toanother directory in your list.
For example you got a Map called "Navigation" any my TomTom just shows in the main Progams map. I want it to be in Navigations though...
Couldnt find anyting in the registery aswell, anyone know how to solve this?
Moving thread to Questions & Answers section.
Now to answer your question...
Using File Explorer, browse to Windows > Start Menu > Programs and simply cut and paste the shortcuts you want to move.
I used to use vaj555's link but now that i upgraded to 6.1 it does not work an only takes me to dialer.
i searched for a solution and came up with the following. but my Atom Life does not have launchmsitem.exe
Code:
1. Create a shortcut key to \Windows\LaunchMSItem.exe w/ "CALLHISTORY_ALL_CALLS" parameters ( I think you have it w/ yr HTC home). You can do it easily w/ Resco Explorer or the hard way below:
a.Create a text file and name its as "CallHistory.lnk"
b. 49#"\Windows\LaunchMSItem.exe" CALLHISTORY_ALL_CALLS as it content
c. put it into yr phone (e.g. /Windows)
2. Then the registry as follow
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\11 2
"Open"="\Windows\CallHistory.lnk"
"Default"="History"
Please help.
UPDATE: found this .EXE. But rather use a .lnk to save RAM, any input?

i've been searching for while for a program that would allow to easily add/remove programs from start menu list, since it becomes a burden in a while
(the ones from windows/start menu/programs path and from registry)
any help ?
You can give a try to SKTools, or JSPA program manager(freeware), on this forum,
Google is your friend....
