Hi all,
I do have an XDAII for years, and discovered that the older SMS'es in the Send Items cannot beopened or deleted. It mentioned [No Recipiens] as sender. how to solve this?
By the way, how to delete the SMS inbox, Send etc. files. I've some 10.000 SMSes in it and the O2 is getting slow running.

hi all, a newbie here. i spent ages reading the very informative guides on flashing my mda compact to the latest version, including radio, so firstly many thanks for all that help.
since doing this and using active sync to restore my old data, documents, pictures etc. my outlook sms messages have gone.
they seem to be in the phone in the windows\messaging folder (when browsing with active sync) and i've established that the sms function is a hidden windows\tmail.exe program and i've told the files to open with that application, but still no joy.
am i correct in assuming that windows\tmail.exe is the correct program and is there a way of moving the files back to the inbox so that i can read them?
any help would be most appreciated, cheers
Activesync doesnt backup SMS msgs, only a program like jeyo for outlook will do that. the files in windows\messaging will just be regular email msgs/headers. you would of lost all the sms in the upgrade
hi,
does anyone know of a software where i can send SMS to a group for the 750.
thanks
on my mda vario you could separate contacts with a ; to send to mutiple contacts.
however I couldnt setup up groups anywhere so you'de have to manually enter all the contacts every time

My girlfriend wants to keep her sms messages.
Where does WM5 storage them?
Does nobody knows this?
Messages are kept in WM6 (and I think WM5) in a file called cemail.vol. Contacts, addresses and calendar are in pim.vol. Normally these are read/copy/write protected by the system, so you won't be able to copy and paste them. Use something like PIM Backup by FdcSoft to backup and restore emails and other info.
Hello,
I'd like to know if it's possible to recover sms messages who are not realy deleted but moved from deleted items to inbox.
The messages were send with another simcard but stored in my deleted items. Then I tried to move the messages to my inbox. I wanted to save them but after moving them to the inbox they were gone. (Where does WM 6.1 store the messages?)
can anyone help me please?!
with kind regards,
Michel.
I am wondering if I am the only one with this issue and is there a way to resolve it ?
I sync my contacts from an Exchange server, so my SMS's are tied to the contacts on my Exchange server. I have tried SMSbackup and WPbackup with both the same results. When I restore, I end up with 2 of the EXACT contacts, If I remove one, the restored SMS thread is now dead or am unable to delete the restored contact so my only way is to remove it from my exchange server to get it to work.
I wish someone who made a SMS/Contacts backup made something so you can match up your current/sync'ed contacts with the SMS threads/Contact info. Even with SMSbackup I have the same issue. It creates new contacts, not the ones I have synced, so what I end up with is 2 of each contact. Once I clean that up by removing the dup, the SMS threads are dead. If someone by the same name replies to you, it will create a new thread.
Does anyone make such an app to match up Contacts/SMS with a contact on your phone ?
Is there a work-around to be able to sync my contacts from my server AND be able to restore SMS with out dups or dead SMS threads ?
any idea ?
