Hello, ladies and gentlemen.
I will be relinquishing my i-mate JAM for an M500 in a few hours, so I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone here for a great time and experiencing hacking away at these HTC devices. Though we've accomplished much, it's a double-edged sword with HTC and their branding companies such as i-mate, Dopod, O2, etc. They give us enough leeway to make some really cool customizations, but they also have the attitude that 'if you want features you're missing in your current software, we'd rather you purchase new hardware (read: WM5).'
The Eten M500 seems to be a very formidable competitor with some serious technical support and definite upgrade path to WM5, so in the long run, this will likely outlast the JAM in most respects.
When I get my M500, I'll hope to find a way to get into the bootloader and make a dump of the unit and perhaps end up helping the community who's helped me and countless others with their HTC devices.

Has ETEN's build quality improved? Their first few attempts at PPCPE were not so good... maybe you can share your ETEN experience when you get your m500. Have fun with your new device!

Anyone knows who is the manufacturer of the I-Mate Ultimate sereis since it is no longer HTC that supplies to I-mate.
A second question if the notebook like Ultimate has an external screen for caller ID when closed.

Hey everyone im new to the site, excellent information and tools lying around for these awesome HTC phones! I have a dilemma at the moment im due an upgrade next month with my carrier T-Mobile, im eligible to get any phone so I am trying to decide which would be better out of these: MDA Vario II (Hermes) or the MDA Touch (Elf)? Size and weight between the two if anybody knows would be helpful, also I am aware the Elf has the same 64MB of RAM but can anybody inform me as to which CPU the Elf makes use of or wether it is the same as the Hermes. I am curious to know if the upgrade from WM5 to WM6 has broken any applications in terms of compatibility. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hey guys joining the smartphone side of xda now and got a new I-mate SPL. I was wondering what kind of smartphone it was as it resembles none of the other HTC designs. Could it be a I-mate exclusive? if so what hacks and such are available? answers to any of these questions would be great, however the type would be greatly appreciated?

It's not possible to have HSDPA on our Magicians. Reason is it is hardware-dependent. Magician's hardware supports only GSM/GPRS/(EDGE).

I don't think so. Such hardware upgrade is next to impossible, or it'0d necessitate long hours of research and electronic' works.
