my device had no sound ever , i made upgrade my rom ; it work fine but after meny days sound off .
when i use hands free i heer sound without it no sound .
your speaker is dead, my friend !

I have come acrossed with a strange problem like a nightmare to me .I have no audio , no sound on my htc touch hd since last night .no audio for any media file or any sound and notifications ! unable to make a call ( it connects but there's no sound on any side ).
When receiving a call , it can vibrate but doesn't ring !
Last night I noticed that simultaneously both the front and back speakers have been quieten ! It's very annoying and drawes me nut .
-having done a dozen of soft resets.....
-have removed at least 10 recent applications with no success !
-had pluged in and unpluged the headphone also ,but no change .
The strange thing is that even tf3d player doesn't work ! But in other hand windows media player works , of course with no sound (not in speakers nor via ear phones ).
The main culprit , I think is sk tool .last night i used it's auto clean and move up functions and it check marked automaticly the box of (system/audio.exe) file . May be it has removed that file somewhere or have killed it ! Is it possible that missing this particular file is the root of the problem ? If so ,any hard reset will be ineffective too !
So ,what can i do ? And what's going on ?
Any ideas ?.....please help .

i handled with an app called remoute l.c.v last night .
if i re install it and set up it's configuration may be fix the problem ?!

I have a good nokia headset ( in ear + mic and sound controls ) , and htc sensation xe .. well before you say congratiolations , the dont work together , sound is weird , sometimes music only sometimes voice only ! , and no mic or sound control , Im rooted , is there anything to do ??
hi everyone ... im new here .. i have a i9003 with a big problem .. the brightness won't change even when i move the selection ... i tried the reset and the flashing .. so im really sure it's a hardware issue .... and also the sound with the ear jack is strange .. not normal .. like it's mono ar i dont know .. i just hear the music of a song without the lyrics !! strange !!
i m thinking that it's this peace defected it's called : Headphone-Jack-Flex-Cable-w-Earphone-and-Promixity-Cable-SAMF
because this piece is linking the earphone jack and the "brightness" responsable
what do you think ..

Sorry if this question has been posted earlier, I am pretty much a newbie here
I have just laid hands on a One plus one , and was totally bonkers over the device till yesterday. Strangely on attaching my headphones ( Skullcandy S2SBFY-058 Smokin Bud Mic In-the-ear Headset ) which where working absolutely fine the day before now force the music or notification sounds to mute :crying: The worse part is if it try to increase the sound , the drag-er ( if that's what its called ) runs back to zero. Its very frustrating and saddening. I have already tried re-booting and doing a factory reset. :crying:
Is here a fix for this ? Moreover can this be a software issue ? Any help will be really appreciated

This issue occurred when I flash a ROM and then I can't hear anything when call comes , I have to enable loud speaker to hear something on call.
And I was also using stereo mod on my device.
My ear speaker stopped working suddenly . When I flashed new ROM . I thought this is a problem with new ROM but when I flash back the old ROM on which ear speaker was working in that old ROM ear speaker was not working .
And hence my ear speaker is off
I want help to switch it on.
Please help please :crying:

after your problem, i feel i should disable Stereo mod ..

Yeah Disable it
No I have not tried to install stock ROM , no time for that I will check it later
Checked on stock but no luck
It's hardware problem, but don't know why happen.
