Sync an Exchange Public Calender? - General Topics

Hi,
I have synced my work email account to my mobile (SPVm3100)...
Is there a way that I can sync a public folder (a calender) from the Exchange server to my phone but I need to keep the current calender intact (this is synced from another PC).
I don't mind if it's a separate calender...
Any ideas?
Cheers

can you link google calendar

As per title anyone aware of a way to link google calendar to your ppc,
either pocketbrezze or your standard pim etc
ta
I have seen readers, but these do not sync with the internal calendar, which I assume you want to do (as I do too).
I am really surprised there is no simple way to sync an ical profile with either Outlook or Pocket Outlook.
I know you can sync with a public profile on your desktop, but I doubt everyone wants to make their calendars public, and still doesn't help for people on the move.
An alternative would be to stop using Google Calendar for now until more solutions are available, and set-up a Live Mail2Web account, and simply use their Outlook Web Access for your calendar needs, and put the sync profile in your Activesync.

It's the only good all round solution to online contacts backup, calendar sync, and push mail, and all from one provider, and free of charge too.
Nice one mate ill look into that
Remote Calendars
I've been using an open source program called Remote Calendars.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/remotecalendars/
it synchs your google calendar to outlook which can then be synched to your PPC.
you can also synch the other way (i.e. put something in your PPC and have it transferred to Google)
it's not a perfect system but it's the best i've found
Am I right in thinking you still have to make your calendar public for this application to work though?
No google calendars have two addresses:
a public one - which you can disable and
a private one - which you should never give to anyone else or publish anywhere
you can get your private address from the Calendar Details page of the settings menu. this is what you use for Remote Calendars
so your calendar is still private (or shared with family & friends etc)
woohhhoooooooo
Google Calendar Sync
This only works for main calendar:
5 March 2008 Google Calendar Sync allows you to sync events between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar.

You can now access your Google Calendar account from your mobile phone! Just visit mobile.google.com/calendar/ with your phone's web browser and once you're logged in, you'll see your list of upcoming events with date and time information in an easy-to-browse format.

Public Folders

Hi,
Is anyone aware of a good tool to sync a contact / task / schedule from a public folder on an exchange server?
I'm using Faria wm6, active sync 4.5 and outlook 2003.
Thanks
Patrick
Depends, do you have unlimited data? if so i always used emoze. it will sync everything and send emails to your phone if you want.

Windows Live for WM and Outlook Connector

I am trying to find a combination solution to synchronize my windows live mail, contacts, and calendar with my phone. I know that Windows Live for Windows Mobile will sync my contacts and mail and I also know that the Outlook Connector will sync my calendar (plus more) with desktop Outlook. My real question is, does anyone know of a way to sync my phone's calendar with the windows live synchronized calendar created in Outlook using Outlook Connector. It looks like Outlook Connector has created an entirely new calender in Outlook. It seems like it also created a separate set of contacts and folders for email as well.

Click to collapse
Just get Exchange. (It's free, too!)

Then you can have PUSH mail, contacts, calendar, and tasks. I used to try to find solutions with Windows Live, and then I got Exchange. It's amazing.
Sorry that there's ads on that page, but they have to pay for the servers. Yet, it's all free for you!!! Click on the New User link on that page to sign up. You won't regret it!
(You have to forward your old mail to your new Exchange address. If you donate you can change your exchange's address to be whatever you want it to be)
Find more info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517693
I'm providing it for free. But on a Exchange 2003 server. You can have your reply-address set to any address you wish, so to the recipient it seems like you're using your regular mail address. I'm doing this in my spare time, so it's free (though donations are appreciated )

Exchange Activesync One-Way Sync

Is it possible to enable one-way sync for a calendar from the exchange server to your phone? I don't want any changes made on my phone to be cascaded to the exchange server.
Thanks guys.

This only shows me how to setup syncing with Google products.

I am looking for the same capability. I believe the option to choose direction of synching was removed after ActiveSync 3, as I know I used to use this functionality all the time. I don't want to sync my personal contacts & calendar from my personal pc to my business contacts & calendar on my work laptop. But I want both my business contacts & calendar on my personal pc and phone.
BTW - Google sync only allows you to sync one computer/device, unless that has been changed recently. Also, from what I could see it doesn't offer one-way synching.

How to sync pst data with exchange account set up

Hi all,
Not sure if it's a problem or if it can't be done but here's the scenario. I have an exchange account set up in Outlook 2007 but only use it for email, there are no contacts or calendar info on the server. I use my local .pst to keep all my contact and calendar info. I also have exchange account set up on my windows mobile 6 to retrieve my exchange email. Question is how can i sync my contact/calendar info b/w my phone and outlook while ignoring exchange? When I go to sync my phone it will wipe the contact/calendar data from my phone because it defaults to the exchange even though in activesync I have the set to sync info with my computer and not the server. Hope that made sense.
Thanks,
Ho'okani
