Hi all,
i don't know if this has been made known before but anyway here is a link http://www.freecabs.de/ to a site that serves to provide ppc users a place to find free/commercial softwares/games in cab file-ready format and zip. just to mention a few like Pocket Rar, PPC Skype, Mem Release, VLC Media Player (that can stream video), Virtual Earth Mobile, UI tweaker etc. As for version compatibility, as most is not mentioned, i guess it's up to the user to find out.
I've tried to look for the proprietor's name of this website but could not find any so i could not pay any tribute directly as yet but anyway if he/she reads this, "A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU" so if any of you guys do find his/her name please mention it here. he/she did tho' include his/her e-mail "[email protected]". I think he/she deserves our thank you.
Cheers. (P.S as the url suggest softwares are free but i could not confirm this as i don't use much of them only those that i need)
The site is by Holger Schmidt
Danke Holger
Yes, i'm sorry. it's listed just below the title. Thanks.
And thank you again, Holger Schmidt.
Freecabs - Metro City Navigation
Métro Ver. 5.4.4 is cool. 350 cities.. and it's free!
If you have ever been lost in Munich, you know what I'm talking about.
well freecabs is great. But the site is really a portal for OTA downloads. All apps belong to their seperate owners.

Now the website is temporarily unhosted and perhaps discontinued in eight to ten months. This because the webmaster owner has a new carreer waiting ..
He will evaluate in 8 months if upholding the site is possible..

So if anyone like's this page, send a positive message to the webmaster, and perhaps this usefull site can continue ..
are there any apps that work with WM6 that you can chat on using AIM?
If someone could point me in the right direction that'd be great
check your pms
not warez....
I told him there are many. I was never able to find the actually AIM for the ppc, I personally prefer IMplus by Shape Services. Also, if you want an aim client that can connect to multiple aim screennames at a time there is only one i have found, but you have to buy a subscription to the actual service. Actually right now as i was searching I found the AIM download site (google "aim pocket pc") Cant try it now cause im on a linux machine, but will later. I actually remember finding it but couldnt download it. If it works please post that here. Later when i get home ill post the other IM clients out there. Hope this helps.
Slod, you may want to reply to the post with information on the subject, if possible, as opposed to just PM'ing. Others may benefit from it.
He prolly sent a warezlink.
try this. its new http://www.palringo.com/

Any information is great. THANKS
Hi I'm posting this to inform xda users I am in the process of creating a website for app reviews for iOS, Android, and WP7. I will also include video reviews on all the apps I write about. There will also be a tutorial page for those platforms for hacks found on this website and sister site iphone-developers. I also want to get affiliated with xda (waiting for approval) to create video tutorials for roots and reviews of custom roms.
The website is http://appsreview.webs.com once the website goes and up and starts doing good I will transform it into my own url. So when you get the chance to check it out. Right now there is only and introduction page and a test iphone review page. So bookmark it and check it out within the next month.
Thanks.
Nice site and good idea, hope you can keep goind to be a great site someday =]
Wasnt quite sure were to ask, so i just posted here.
Hoping someone can help.
Anyone know of a website that will allow me to create my own website with simple building tools, i.e. does not require me to know code or html. And is free or cheap? Thank you for any help.

You can try Skylium (completely free). I have my web there and I didn't have problems in one year. Without banners and ads. With a lot of utilities: joomla, php, mysql...

Thanks for the quick response however, it seems to be all in Spanish...
Yes it's in Spanish, but it has a lot of services.
During a lot of years I had the web in 000Webhost (English), but it gave me some problems. You can test it.
I had another web in Aruba.it (not free, but cheap, and several languages). But I don't remember if it had building tools.

Probably the best site I've used is wix. It's super easy and looks awesome and everything is easy enough to edit with a little bit of practice.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, ill give em a shot
Wix is nice, but lots of ad and very proprietary (can not extract your data and move it somewhere) and you must pay to have your own domain name etc
In the same spirit you have jimdo and weebly which are less markettingly aggressive
jimdo.com
weebly.com
And Silex, which is free, open source, no hidden costs, but with far less templates (you are supposed to start your site from a blank page)
silex.me
Wix is my fave!
Thought I'll update this website for the times. My favorite website builder is hPage ( https://www.hpage.com ). I have created two websites there already and it's really good. I love all the features and it's very affordable too compared to other website builders.

Hello, I suggest trying sites.google.com. I know that this is a google, and maybe you don't want to share data with them.
I use it for ~4 sites and I don't know much code (except some HTML things), and it didn't ask to know it. Yeah, you can add HTML blocks yourself. But all can be done through interface.
I will not publish any links to the examples, because you can find through your favourite search engine yourself.
Google gives a "domain" like "sites.google.com /view/{name which can be configured before and after publishing}"
If you don't want that, try services for DDNS like noip .com or just shorten a link to the page you want (for example, bit .ly does that).
I also use Jimdo and it only annoys in some places where google's service is better (like >100 fonts (Jimdo offers only one, similar to Times)).
Give them a try.
HTH,
