I have several phones as I love to pay with them including 2 XDA2 units.
So, to make a long story short...A few weeks ago I have managed to crack the screen on the 2nd XDA2 (T-mobile branded but unlocked) unit which I was using mostly for development and testing. Instead of having the screen replaced, I have decided I have to damn many gadgets and I am already eying the MDAIII so money would come in more handy then having all these units sitting around. So I am selling my XDA2 with the cracked touch screen. You can send emails with offers if you like to [email protected]
It appears as if it just needs the touch screen replaced not the LCD based on when I opened it up) It should cost around $100-$150 to repair at most. There are places, some discussed in these forums which do repair both if needed. Again, I think the touch screen is all that it needs repaired, it powers up, but does not accurately respond to touch screen in the lower portion. It will include a battery, power (European plug with US adapter) Dock, phone, etc. The package is German, but the software is the latest I had avilable for flashing from T-Mobile at the time of the "crack". All offers will be considered, the unit retails for around $900 still as you all know.

Come on now, this isnt ebay.
Sorry thread closed.
OK, so I just risked ebay and purchased the following for the totally ridiculous cheap price of £8.45 including delivery.
Now it could overheat, or blow up and kill me, but if not I'll post results here so everyone can get in on the deal. At this rate I'll never go without power.

Package included:
1 x USB Wall Battery Charger (US Standard)
1 x UK Standard Plug Adapter
1 x USB Hotsync & Charger Cable
2 x Spare Battery (1500mAh)
3 x Free Screen Protector
if it sounds to good to be true it usually is, but I would be interested in your review of this purchase
HOLY MRD! i can't believe it.
I'll order a set as well and take my chances
the battery "appears" to be real, obviously they are fakes.
the battery charger is good though, i have one like that for my HTC Athena, and 2 batteries for my HTC Athena, so i can trust those just fine.
i don't really need the screen protector, since i'm installing the Mirror Type
i'll keep these 3 plus the other xtra i got from another purchase as spares
OMG! it was free shipping too !!!!!!!!!!
and that is a reputable seller, WOW! i can't believe the deal.... well it's all paid for, lets see how they works when it arrives.
has anyone received their batteries from this ebay order yet? any good or duds?
it will take at least a week for it to arrive
ordered mine now.
but the thought of breaking open the battery cover to recycle the batteries is making me uneasy.
who designed the battery cover samsung?
I agree with the thought of taking the back on and off over and over again, its the same design as my other £5 LG102! Haha
This seems too good to be true...
waiting for your feedback
still haven't arrive yet
on the listing it even states that its not the original battery
"Quality is 100% guaranteed, Not Original"
Looks good. Don't know whether I'd trust fake batteries though.
A lot of engineers say that the worst thing you can do to any device is to use fake batteries. careful now!

Hell from Germany,
I recieved my package yesterday. 2 Accus, Loader, 3 Screenprotectors and 1 MicroUSB-Cable for 10,- Euros incl. shipping!!!
://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170516320142&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I´ve loading both accus, they are working fine, like the Original One.
The loader has a big LED, changing the light from red to blue when the accu is full.
The loader has an extra USB-Port for loading a phone directly.
In fact, a very cool deal. ))))
Greez,

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I'm interested in the screen protectors, as I haven't got around to buying any yet. How is the fit, and the screen responsiveness. Is it a generic 4" screen protector, or is it one that is designed for the Galaxy S, and fits the whole front panel.
Can you upload any pics of the kit?
it appears you are trying to say:
accus = batteries
loader = battery charger

i have to agree with this, the "fake" batteries i purchased for the HTC Athena, one of them died already, after only 2~3 weeks of use, it did not explode or anything like that, just the plastic case was made of cheap plastic and it broke after several swap/in & swap/out

You´re right,
in Germany batterie means = not for charging
but charger is the word Iám looking for, my mistake.
Thank´s
also thinking about getting this so will be interested in your thoughts. for me even if the batteries last me afew hours they will be handy while im charging my original one because with even moderate use the sgs is only good for 8-9 hours.
no worries, the after market batteries they last very long some even longer than the original battery, the only danger is when you charge it, they might explode if not charged properly.
i keep a simple rule to never charge the FAKE batteries inside the phone, i only charge the fake batteries using an External charger.
I lost the battery for mine and would like to replace it if possible. Anyone that could give me a model number to order. I'm in Mexico and the guys at the phone stores are more interested in selling me an overpriced phone with a tv. Over the air tv mind you. wtf.

Model Number of battery HTC Tornado / SDA / SP5m original battery ---> ST26B, ST-26B, ST 26B (1150mAh)
Thanks, found and ordered one from Amazon. Girlfriend needs a cheap unlocked phone so I dug this one up till an android she likes, is from a good manufacturer and is in her price range comes up.
Try to get an original one of the ST26* (A,B,C). The ones from Samsung (A) or Sanyo (C) perform best from my experience. There are several offers on ebay from American sellers. Despite these are used, all original ones I had have outperformed the Chinese copies.
In the meantime I measured about 30-40 such batteries (see my signature) and NONE of the aftermarket meets the quality of either Sanyo or Samsung.
Search on ebay for "OEM ST26C Battery" - and make sure with the seller that you get one from Sanyo.
For $9 for a phone to just tinker with, the one I got says ST26B, but has a Celxpert sticker on it. Looks like it's covering the original sticker. So far, at full charge it looks to be ok. We'll see how long it has on standby.
The Celxpert are original ones as well - however not so common. I have seen the following original batteries:
- ST26A: Samsung - 1050mAh, also (seldom) 1150mAh
- ST26B: Maxell - 1050mAh or Celxpert - 1150 mAh
- ST26C: all 1150 mAh from Sanyo
Look at my signature for a method to measure the battery capacity with the device itself.
Lots of searching this forum and elsewhere leads me to believe that if I buy what appears to be an OEM replacement battery for my Nexus 4, it will be either a used battery or a fake knock-off. The manager at my local Batteries Plus store even recommended against buying the replacement battery that they could provide me for my Nexus 4. He said they aren't as good as the original. I appreciated his honesty, but I am left searching for the holy grail -- a guaranteed OEM or equally high quality replacement battery that isn't used and that isn't a crappy, fake knock off. Can anybody help?
After reading a lot of comments on Amazon and eBay, I too was concerned about this. As my 2 year old battery was swelling (pushing the front glass up and disconnecting the Qi and NFC antennas) I was in a big hurry to replace it. With the default ground shipping, I got this one delivered to my local Radio Shack (2 blocks away) in 2 days.
I can now get a full 24 hours of on time (5.0.1) which is better than It was when it was new (4.2.1) . It is a bit overpriced, but was worth it for me.

Out of stock on radio shack.
What may be the manufacturer seems to sell only through resellers. I've asked them for more info.

You'll probably have to call LG support and see who are their official parts resellers.
